I also asked them to check the transmission fluid and investigate a suspension knock that I was hearing/feeling. The owner checked the car and called me and we agreed on the work to be done and the price. He explained that the knocking was due to strut and sway bar wear and I decided not to have that work done this visit as he said it wasn't a dangerous situation. When I went to pick up the car I had additional discussions with the owner and I found him to be very honest and sincere. He understood that I was reticent to sink a bunch of money into a 12 year old car. He knew I had done my own brake work and said he was confident I could do the suspension work myself and even gave me tips on how to do it. The work LARC did was done well, with quality materials, and at a fair price - not cheap, but fair. The owner also checked out an old Mazda I had and while no work was done, that experience was also very positive. Another good feature of this shop is that the station is open late so you can go in after hours and pay and pick up your car. And "The Grill" also has great food to boot. There is always an element of fear when I take my car in to have work done. Mechanics many times are in a position to take advantage of customers, and many do. So besides knowing I am going to get quality work done at LARC, I feel there is great value in knowing that I can trust that I'm going to get honest feedback and not get scammed. I feel very fortunate to have found LARC and I will definitely be using them for future work.

The next day it wouldn't start again so I had it towed to their garage. My car sat for two full days. They call to tell me I needed an oil change. I said I don't think that has anything to do with my car not starting. I asked if they looked at maybe the starter or the alternator....they said they can't do that until I get a new battery. I said, oh now I need a new battery also? They said, well its at 50% capacity. I said why do I need a new batter if its at 50% capacity? Don't you have a diagnostic machine you can just hook it up to and find out what's wrong? He said not until the battery voltage is correct. Well, he just told me the battery voltage WAS correct...so what's the deal here? They just don't want to look at what I'm telling them is the likely problem because...?? My Dad has been a mechanic his entire life and he told me the issue would likely be. I tell this to the mechanic and he just blows me off. I am beyond pissed. I let me car sit there for two days, had it towed there, and they do nothing. NOTHING. I absolutely do not recommend taking your vehicle here...even if it is CLOSE BY. Go to a dealer. Yes, they are more expensive but at least they will fix your car and not just let you hanging for days.

The lady i spoke to on the phone said they had 4. I went to the yard, i walked up and down the Dodge/Chrysler section and only seen 1 dodge magnum matching mines. So i walked to the entrance of the yard to ask the lady at the desk if she could tell me the exact location of the other 3 Dodge Magnums. She said she couldnt, that i had to look online myself. I said i did. But i couldnt find them. She called some other short blonde big lady to deal with me. That lady came from the front door with another customer. The lady behind the register told her my question and the big lady said: where is your phone? I said in my pocket. First off, that is not the way to talk to a customer like she knew me. Second, she dont know if people are up to date with mobile devices, she shouldnt assume. That is not the way to talk or treat any of your customers. I simply asked her for the location of the other 3 magnums and she kept saying i need to look on the website. I told her i did and that it dont match the yard. So we both got heated and she told me to leave. I drove 40mins to the yard because they told me they had 4 magnums, i paid my entrance for nothing. I got kicked out for asking a simple question: where are the other 3 magnums you told me you have?
