I hired Dave to run a simple tube cleanly to my drain downspout. He explicitly said he would do a proper job, but what I got was the opposite. He didn't bother to grade the tubing so water could actually flow, hacked a jagged hole into my drain and damaged it, then left like the job was done. When I pointed out that the tube was literally pointing upward--and asked if he understood how gravity works--he doubled down and insisted that all I asked was for him to stick the tube in the hole he drilled. On top of the sloppy, lazy work, Dave couldn't even provide a clear date or time for when he'd arrive. Totally disorganized, unreliable, and careless. If you want shoddy, garbage work that you'll have to fix yourself afterwards, hire him. Otherwise, stay far away. read more

Thanks to BMH Home Improvements we were able to remodel our townhouse. There was extensive flood damage and Dave was able to repair the sheetrock and repaint the first floor. Avoid at all cost!! We hired Dave to do a few things around our home. He was to replace a couple of interior doors. Not only did he leave gouges where the hinges are, by not measuring. He "eyed" it. The downstairs door, he didn't want to take off the existing strike plate, so he rigged the door to stay shut! Which as soon as the heat was turned on, it popped open. He shaved the door to our bedroom, while it was installed! Which left shavings all over my husbands closet, his clothes, and our bedroom floor. Why? He didn't want to haul the door up and down the stairs!! Next, he installed vinyl railings on our front stairs! He proceeded to cut them too short, then tried to "fix" it with caulk. Tons and tons of caulk. The bottom of the railing base didn't meet the stairs, because he screwed in the washers too high. He finished the job at night, when all of the mistakes could not be seen. Then asked for payment. In the morning, the DISASTER was exposed. My husband called him over to discuss the matter. His response, it'll pass Inspection!! Um, yeah probably but we are in the process of selling the home, which he was aware of. He honestly thought it looked fine. Trying to be fair, we asked for half of what we paid for the railings/labor to be refunded. We would eat the cost of the railing! He agreed to try and "fix" it. No thanks, you've done enough damage as is. He has ignored our requests for a refund, and we will be proceeding legally, as we do not want this to happen to someone else. Luckily, everything has been fixed by a awesome handyman, who was equally appalled that someone would call themselves a handyman and do this type of work. I hope that this review, is not deleted as it will hopefully help someone else who might consider hiring BMN handyman services! read more

We couldn't do it -- we tried for hours -- and had no idea what was wrong with the blinds. We thought we were going to have to return them. Dave came over and would not give up!
