They carefully covered the floor and furniture from any further damage. As soon as the electricity was back on, they were there with the dehumidifiers and fans. Keith checked in every day until the place was dry. His careful and conscientious surveillance prevented mold from setting in (which would not have been covered by our homeowners insurance), and his documentation allowed us to collect from insurance. Fast forward to 2023, we experienced one of the hottest summers ever in south Louisiana. My two brand new AC units simply couldn't compete with the heat and lack of airflow in my attic. I decided to have our attic spray foamed but, with the industry being unlicensed in the state of Louisiana, I came across countless companies that simply didn't have the credentials to back them up. Until a friend suggested a larger company, Sunlight Contractors. Well, they may be a big company but they sure don't make you feel like it. The owner, Mr. Ira, called me back personally and gave me a very detailed run-down of the process and how it would all work. His communication was thorough, clear, and accurate. They did exactly what they said they were going to do and did so exactly when they said they were going to do it. Even in 100+ degree heat, they came in and removed all of my old insulation, bagged it up and hauled it away, sprayed my attic and added a level of comfort for my family that we had yet to experience since living in our home for the last 9 years.
