The dental hygienist grabbed the cables from the floor with gloved hands and then opened her packed instruments with same gloves. The worst part that made me very scary was that she tested the operation of the device by pinching its tip with the same gloves. This device sprays water in to the mouth and used to scrape the plaque. When she was about to put the device in to the child's mouth, I had to remind her to change gloves. They had me sit in their office for over an hour waiting for the doctor. She wasn't even in the office. The receptionist kept telling me she was on her way and nearby. If it weren't for this emergency situation I had with my tooth, I would have left then. A doctor who has no respect for other people's time is not worthy imo. She didn't even seem all that sorry when she finally arrived. Asked me where I lived, and said something along the lines of, "since you live in Manhattan, you would have had to travel back anyway." I never would have left Manhattan if I knew I were to be seen in Manhattan, genius. After she took care of my issue, she pointed out a tooth that had moved back since I had my braces removed (I got my braces and retainers elsewhere) and recommended that I call her if I wanted to take care of it. I think I'll look for a doctor who doesn't waste my time, thank you.
