BEST experience ever. I actually used this company for my staff development retreat. The originally cost was about $80 per person but they truly worked with my $72 per person budget. Also it was so nice that they created a link for me to send to the team for personal project orders and when we arrived they had water, a fully stocked fridge and fresh bags of chips for us which was a plus since I had grabbed some party trays from Giant. I especially loved that they allowed us to eat while working on our projects and had a very eccentric and inclusive blend of music playing with music videos and all. Cannot remember the last time i watched a music video but it was a great conversation starter among the group. Played everything from Maroon 5 to MC Hammer. A good time was has. Alot of craft venues can be stuffy but this one was perfect. This will be my go to for every staff retreat moving forward as they also do welcome mats amongst other things. Whats not to love down to earth support team, wine, and food while crafting.

I went with a coworker friend of mine. We had so much fun and met some great people we were already planning to meet up with at the location again! The ladies were knowledgeable and they took the guess work out of everything. I would definitely recommend this as a date night..a girls night or whatever. Plus it was BYOB so you can have as much fun as you desire lol

Everyone knows that I don't give out five starts very often. A business must go way over and beyond…read moremy expectations to get all five! I have been to several paint nights and have even left in tears from one of those... that was not the case with Creative Mankind. This company travels around to different venues and offers a variety of painting options. I met up with a group of friends and we painted a Mardi Gras themed picture. Right off the bat I knew it was going to be an awesome experience. We were greeted with upbeat music and beads to celebrate the occasion. Our instructor really put a lot of thought and passion into the class ahead of time. Laying on the canvas was a template of the mask we needed to transfer to our painting. She let us know that we could "go rogue" and change up the colors and skip the sketching parts but I am way not that talented! She had one completed painting on an easel and another blank canvas for demonstration up on an elevated easel. It was visible to everyone in the room without having to stand up. She was extremely accommodating as far as time given for each step, which I really appreciated! It was fun how she would tell us how many songs she would play for us to finish each step... "okay you have two songs to do this step!" There was an assistant who walked around and offered advice and guidance which was helpful. Creative Mankind had partnered with a restaurant that offered drink specials and happy hour pricing for apps! The restaurant provided a dedicated server to us which was a nice touch. And huzzah... my painting actually looked a lot like the sample! Which for me is a huge deal because I am really not artistic or creative with paint. We were all encouraged along the way and our confidence was bolstered by telling us that everyone is an artist but we express our artistry in different ways. I was with a party of six and all of our paintings turned out different and reflected our personalities. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Creative Mankind for any event they host. They also do private parties!

For our last trip in July, I was tasked with coordinating the fun team activity and stumbled upon Creative Mankind. I was considering a couple other options, but when I started communicating with Staci (the owner and host), there was really no question that this was the activity (painting class) I wanted to plan for my team. She was so nice, so patient, and super accommodating in every way possible. She even found the most perfect venue to hold our team event (Lyon Hall). She provided all supplies, ensured the ambiance was great and lively, and her instruction was so thorough! She guided us -ever so patiently- every step of the way. We had so much fun! I would, 100% recommend Creative Mankind for your next work team event!!

This was only because you can not fail a child in art. Lol. I was excited about the paint party with the Loaded Canvas because it was at my friend's house and... we were drawing wine. When I arrived, this mobile business transformed her space wonderfully. Our canvas, easel, paint palettes, brushes, etc. were nicely arranged. We were given aprons and ready to start our masterpiece. Natasha Fray, the owner and artist was effortless in navigating between various levels of skill. Her introduction and directions throughout the experience were clear. I felt at ease because when people had "oops" moments, she never panicked with us. As a matter of fact, she really didn't see mistakes because its art. She had a way of listening to the buy-in of the painter to help the painting reflect their vision. She could fix anything. I loved and stuck with the colors of our painting. However there were others who desired to use colors that matched their home decor. Natasha helped them mix the right colors to get the background they wanted. I was very pleased with my painting. It was Natasha who made it an experience. I highly recommend selecting the Loaded Canvas as your paint party host. *Side Note: This is a black owned business.

We did a Paint Nite at El Rodeo in Edgewood. We were about 20 minutes early and the four of us were able to get a row of seats together. We started a few minutes after six. The session began with the instructor making us say a funny Paint Nite oath about how we would not complain that our paintings were horrible. Everyone was given an apron, white canvas, three different size paint brushes and a plate with white, black, red, blue and yellow globs of paint. Following the directions from our instructor, everyone in the class mixed colors and painted a beautiful beach scene. I do not consider myself talented in the art department, but my painting turned out beautifully. With the instructor and assistant, our group had a great time at Paint Nite. We enjoyed ourselves and the time we spent together making our masterpieces. For my group, it was everyone's first time, but we were all very excited and would like to plan another night out doing the same with more of our friends. I think this is a great idea for friends, couples (even though the majority of the class was women) and a night out. You do not have to drink, but it can make the paintings look better for some people! Tips: Arrive early for a good selection of seats. Wear clothes that you don't mind getting a little paint on (it might not happen, but it can and did to me!) but still look nice because they will be taking pictures to put on their Facebook page. And most importantly, have fun!
