While we were still playing mini golf, a staff member came to find us and let us know a laser tag game was starting soon and suggested we join. If we had waited until we finished golfing, it probably would have just been our two boys in the arena. Instead they got to play with a full group, which made the game way more exciting. That extra level of customer service made a big difference. The kids had an absolute blast and we really appreciated the staff looking out for us like that. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a fun outing with kids.

If you can, purchase your tickets prior to going, and look for "community days," my son and I were both able to go for less than the price of one regular ticket. There is a parking lot nearby and supposedly you can get discounted parking, but unfortunately that was not my experience. Through exhibits and an alphabet scavenger hunt in the general store, visitors learn about 19th century life in a mill town. 3) Staff: Most are volunteers and friendly. 4) Parking: They have parking at the court parking lot or on the street. Surprisingly, I found signage explaining that there used to be a National Aquarium in DC (under the Department of Commerce), but that was a smaller facility and was ultimately subsumed into this one. You'll struggle to find a larger or more impressive aquarium on the East Coast. The price has always been high and continues to escalate. For some locals, a membership is probably the right decision. It must be said that despite being an expensive attraction, it still draws crowds. The cleanliness of the non-exhibiting areas is not great, and given what they charge they ought to be hiring every able-bodied person in Baltimore to maintain the place. The exhibits themselves are impressive. The main winding exhibition includes a tour of Maryland's biodiversity and a massive shark tank, as well as a diversion for harbor views. Their Amazonia is not quite as good as the National Zoo's but combining that with an Australian wing will get you some interesting and bizarre wildlife. The dolphin wing included a speculative bit about trying to set aside some outdoor dolphin sanctuary in the future; the ethics of animal husbandry are beyong the scope of yelp reviews but I found this interesting. Certainly, the jellyfish petting tank doesn't raise a ton of concerns as to the limitations on the freedom of jellyfish, but dolphins are a different matter. Regardless of age, visitors will likely find plenty to look at and learn about.

Our instructors were extremely thorough and made sure they kept an eye on us until they felt confident we could handle some of the climbs on our own. As someone who isn't afraid of heights I was impressed by the sheer scope and height of some of the climbs and really felt like I was getting a serious "pump" going during a few of them. I want to get more into bouldering and will have to take one of the courses they offer on working your way through some of the complications over there!

All the kids had a complete blast, there's no escape for the kids and the whole place is padded, so when you lose track of your kid, it's a no sweat situation.
