    How cute is this decor??

I went to this coffee shop as I was traveling for work. The area is absolutely beautiful and I wish I could have spent more time there. When you first walk in the theme is on point. Fun decor, comfortable seating and even little toys and such for kids. Service was fast and very friendly. I got the matcha and a cold brew and both were delicious! I have told everyone I know about this cute, unique little spot and I can't wait to go back! Best coffee spot ever!

Not a midnight mocha! More like an icy Dusk! Awful! No flavor!

The only excuse I will give is that the girl was busy. The only advantages they have are this shop has a great theme and they have single origin beans. That's it! These frappes we just got are awful! Starbucks are better and I haven't gone to a Starbucks since 2003. No favor! Midnight mocha??? More like Dusk icy milk with a hint of chocolate. Not dark at all like the picture! The seasonal frappe, caramel something, tastes like a hint of coffee with milk and tons of ice. Where is the espresso??? Coffee?? Anything?? And where are the drizzles that the descriptions clearly state, that are supposed to be on top of the whipped topping. Why can't coffee shops do better? $10+ a coffee and it should be perfection! This isn't hard. And why can't coffee shops make their own syrups? Using that high fructose garbage is the quickest way for me to not return, but this time, it's because we got 2 cups of slushie ice with very little flavor. Let me know when yall decide to make your own syrups, until then I'll keep looking for a good coffee shop in Gainesville and until I find it, I'll just go to Farmhouse. At least their drinks taste good. Same garbage syrups.

This is the cutest shop ever with its airplane theme decor. I was looking for a local coffee to grab some coffee and breakfast before hitting the road and this gem popped up. I have one of their specialty lattes along with hash browns and a breakfast sandwich. It was good and the service was also warm and friendly with the barista assisting me with recommendations from the menu.

Consider me a fan of Boarding Pass! I love that this spot has taken morning coffee and made it into an experience. The inside is decorated with seating that puts you on a journey anywhere from on sailing through the sky to a cruising along the river. They've used public transportation seating in a way that takes you on vacation. With that type of experience, one might assume the food and bev does not need to stand out... but it still shines! They have really fun specialty drinks. I'm a lover of matcha and I had a honeybee matcha latte. From the color alone, the matcha was perfect... a really beautiful green! And the flavor was even better. Mixed perfectly with the honey to set the scene of a beautiful spring or summer day. I tried the spicy breakfast biscuit as well and thought it was delicious. It doesn't look that special, but the flavors were really doing it for me. Boarding pass also has wonderful seating along the square, so you can enjoy outdoors. Whether you are looking for a fun experience or just a quick cup of coffee, you cannot go wrong with Boarding Pass Coffee! Will definitely be back and ready for another journey soon.

In town and of course we had to stop by for some coffee. We only tried two specialty coffees and haven't tried anything else. We ordered the pistachio dream latte and the peaches and cream cold brew. So far, so good. They got the peaches and cream on the dot; tastes like it. There is the hint of peaches and cream and you can still taste the coffee. The pistachio dream latte was divine; right amount of creaminess and nutty flavor. Service is up front, order and pay. Ambiance was actually like you're boarding a ship/ cruise or plane; they have airplane seats and interior designs of what you'd fine in flight or on a ship/cruise-very creative. Great spot for small or large groups. If you're looking to go on a date, try this spot out for coffee date. I would like to try this spot again when I'm back in town. Till then, let's sip!

Good coffee, excellent pastries, free parking in a deck nearby! I will say there is a limit on how long you can use the wifi.

Went here on a Tuesday afternoon, so it wasn't that busy which made it nice to look around and take pictures. It's such a cute theme unlike any other coffee shop I've seen! My coffee was pretty good, although it wasn't hot enough and serve to me in it to go cup when I clearly asked for a stay here mug. I should've sent it back and asked them to redo it but I'll give them another try when I bring my daughter here next time . Parking can be tricky at the Square but there is a parking garage is now with a short walk and other shops and restaurants around the Square make this a cute day trip.

As a frequent flier - a former Delta Diamond Medallion - I'm finding this place absolutely adorable. I love the beverage carts and the first class seating with "windows" that look like you're on board a plane. It's too darned cute! Of course, coffee shops should be about the coffee and the working space. My iced coffee was perfect and my high top table was comfortable. Or I could have sat in one of the aircraft seats that look like they were pulled from a 767 which look awesome but balancing a laptop on a tray table isn't ideal. Low, quiet music. Speedy wifi. Great coffee. It's five stars for me. [Review 20331 overall - 678 in Georgia - 1309 of 2023.]

Great service, good treats, and an AWESOME atmosphere! We came in the afternoon around 1:30 on a Monday and there were just a few people there. I got an iced matcha (yum!) and grabbed a stroopwaffle that caught my eye (always a winner!). This would be a great place to study with headphones or catch up with friends! Good for all ages!

Wonderful staff and the decor is very relaxing. The cold foam is delightfully amazing and pairs well with the iced mocha. They even have a small kids section with a little table and chairs. The variety of ambiance areas was great from airplane seats to comfortable chairs near nature scenes.

The service at this establishment in Gainesville was fabulous! They were friendly, pretty quick with our orders, and plenty of seating throughout the establishment.

I was at a conference in Gainesville and I grabbed one of their keurig cups to take home with me. That is really good coffee.

SO much flavor, but if you're like me and can't handle too much during breakfast i don't recommend ordering it bc it's A LOT of food lol i couldn't finish. it's huge pieces of pork belly with eggs on top of cornbread cake and served with potato wedges!! tbh SOOO cheap for all that you get. normal eggs benedict elsewhere are about the same with so much less food. we also tried their specialty whipped coffee which was okay, i think i expected more since it's one of their most popular items but it's worth trying for sure. the restaurant is basically a house so it feels really cozy and is a super cute spot for a brunch date. i would feel overwhelmed bringing a big group of people here but they have a lot of outside seating too! overall such a great brunch place, definitely made it to one of my top favorites :)

This time, my husband and I decided to branch out and try the specials, and it absolutely paid off. I'd go that route again without hesitation. The whipped coffee was rich, creamy, and perfectly indulgent - exactly what you want when you're craving a treat. The sticky bun leaned a bit too sweet for my taste, but my husband (who loves anything sugary) was all in. That said, the texture was spot on. Service really stood out. Our server, Hannah, was friendly, attentive, and efficient - everything you hope for in a great dining experience. The space itself adds to the charm. It feels like you're dining in a converted old house: cozy, a little rustic, a little artsy, and refreshingly different from the usual restaurant setup. Easy 10/10.

Dirty Bird and the Beignets are a must order here. Even for those that don't love gravy I'd still get the dirty bird because the gravy is on the lighter side and very flavorful. Unfortunately, our excitement quickly faded before we were even seated. When I walked into the restaurant, I was completely ignored by a young blonde employee named Claudia who was standing behind the counter in the waiting area. She looked directly at me and continued what she was doing without so much as a greeting or an acknowledgment. A simple, "Good morning, someone will be right with you," would have gone a long way. Since no one else was in the lobby and I noticed a clipboard on the counter, I politely asked if there was a waitlist. Claudia responded with an attitude that she "wasn't the hostess." I calmly asked where the hostess was, and she simply replied that she was clearing tables. There was no offer to help, no explanation of the process, and no attempt to assist me. She continued interacting with other staff members while I stood there feeling like an inconvenience. Thankfully, another employee who appeared to be a waiter noticed me. He immediately picked up the same clipboard that had been sitting on the counter, took my name and phone number with a cheerful attitude, and let me know it would be about a 15-minute wait. His professionalism completely contrasted with the poor customer service I had just experienced. Once seated, our waiter was personable, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was also very good. I ordered the Chicken Sausage Scramble with hash browns, and it was delicious. My friend ordered the Catfish and Grits and thoroughly enjoyed her meal as well. The food and our waiter helped redeem the experience, but first impressions matter. Management should ensure that every employee understands that providing basic courtesy and hospitality is everyone's responsibility, not just the hostess's. Even if greeting guests or managing the waitlist wasn't Claudia's primary role, there was no excuse for being dismissive or rude to someone walking through your front door. Alpharetta has no shortage of excellent brunch spots with both great food and outstanding customer service. Sadly, because of the way I was treated before I was even seated, I won't be returning to The Southern Porch. I also won't feel comfortable recommending it to friends or family. It's disappointing because the kitchen and our waiter did their jobs well, but one employee's attitude overshadowed what could have been an otherwise enjoyable brunch.
