Came here for brunch on Father's Day at 1:30. The crowds started to die down. Unfortunately the waiter told us the wait time would be about 30 mins. We got out of there at 3pm. I wish I could say the food made up for the wait but it did not. Ordered the sweet and spicy chicken and waffles. My daughter had the regular chicken and waffles and they both had a weird mixture of Indian spices. Not sure why. Couldn't finish it. Rest of the meal was ok but the service was poor, asked for syrup for the chicken and waffles-was never received and the food mediocre at best. Had a party of 6 and forgot to take more photos. I am a huge fan of the food here. The biscuits are some of the best I have ever eaten. All of the food seems to be well seasoned and flavorful. I really enjoy the Brussels sprouts and the healthy ginger turmeric drink. Yum! I thought the coffee was ok. The potatoes that I got for my side were extra crispy as ordered but were really really salty. My eggs were good! The restaurant was clean and so were the bathrooms. Customer service was a mixed bag. Our server was friendly but a little bit distracted having forgot our biscuits and coffee refills. At the end of the meal he was nowhere to be found and then a new server said he got moved to a new table. Not a deal breaker but a little funky. I would gladly come back. I was so excited to see that Gainesville had a Tupelo Honey as the one in Atlanta had closed, so we made the 1 hour trip to Gainesville, but I was utterly disappointed with the food. We ordered omelets, no meat, but meat ended up in my omelette, so they remade it and the remake was not good, the sauce was mayonnaise base that did not work well with the eggs, undercooked tomatoes and thick airy grits did not make matters any better. I left still hungry. On the brighter side, the service was great, the hostess was absolutely amazing and the restaurant is beautiful. We liked the potatoes, and the turmeric shots were made perfectly and even though the apple butter was amazing, the biscuits were not. Will I take this drive again???? NO -lol read more

How a real nice lunch here as we were in the Gainesville area. We had eaten in their Asheville location before. We were seated right away. Ordered our drinks and the fried okra starter. It came out with a spicy Alabama sauce that was great to dip the okra into. I ordered the farmhouse breakfast platter, my wife the Cobb salad, and my BIL the half chicken salad sandwich with Brussels sprouts as his side. My breakfast was great. Two eggs perfectly cooked, potatoes, and bacon. It came with toast and they brought a wonderful blueberry jam. My wife loved her salad with the fried chicken breast. My wife liked hers but myself and my daughter were not really impressed. I got the meatloaf and the best thing about my meal was the grits. She got the Nashville Melt with Mac and Cheese and both my wife and her said the Mac and cheese was very bland. We spent over $115 for lunch and we all had an alcoholic beverage, but won't again. I've spent less at Bourbon Brothers and the food is fantastic there. Would not recommend. Lastly, the staff was absolutely NOT personable. I felt like we were more of a bother to them. read more

This was my second time here. Wife & I were really excited about a new place in Gainesville. After seeing the menu and photos of the inside, I really wanted to like this place. During today's visit around 1:20pm there was a 20 minute wait which was fine. We waited the full length of time and got seated. Our server was very nice and took our drink and food orders quickly. After getting our appetizer (2 biscuits) we waited 50 minutes for our entree. Almost to the point where we weren't hungry. I was sorely disappointed when my meal, the chicken tenders, came out. They were wet, rubbery, and the breading wouldn't stay on. I completely lost my appetite and sent it away with the check. Our waiter offered a complementary dessert, but I came there to eat a meal. After waiting so long for a meal I was not going to waste any more of my day. What was most disappointing was that despite sending back nearly the entire dish, the entrée was still on the bill. Keep in mind this is not a cheap restaurant. In my opinion, when a customer returns 90% of a meal due to quality issues, that item should be removed without having to ask. Overall, we really wanted to enjoy this place, but between the long wait and poor food quality, it missed the mark for us. Unfortunately, we won't be returning. read more

I have been coming to this location for a while now. I always get the chicken tenders and have never once had them be the least bit spicy. I cannot handle spice at all. Today I was with some coworkers and my friend sitting next to me ordered the "Asheville Hot Fried Chicken & Ranch Melt." Our order comes out and I bite into my chicken and it is so spicy. My coworker said her sandwich that was supposed to be spicy tasted like regular chicken. I told our waiter and he said that wasn't possible. "The only difference is the breading" was what he said. He then went to get his manager. She came out and didn't ask how she could help, but instead looked at me and said "You have a problem with the food." Instead of trying to help find a solution she just argued with me that the chicken wasn't spicy and insinuated that I must be dumb. She never offered to fix it or make it fresh. It's very disheartening when I frequent an establishment and get the SAME thing every time only to have the manager or my server argue with me and act like I don't know what I am ordering. Also there was an issue with receipts and our waiter just brought out everyone at our table the same receipt and told us to scan the QR code to pay. When there was an issue paying due to someone already paying their receipt, he just continued to argue. The manager must've woke up on the wrong side of the bed because she had zero bedside manners. Lovely new brunch location with excellent service! The drinks were a little slow coming out but were made perfectly! I wasn't digging any of the drinks on the menu so my server suggested a blueberry lemonade with Tito's which was perfect. My only complaint was that they charged me the same price for the tall one & short one & had I known that I would of just gotten another tall one. The chicken & waffles were delicious (although we only saw butter on the center waffle). Our friends enjoyed their food & drinks as well. We wished the "kiss my grits" photo opp wasn't at the entrance because its hard to get a picture due to poor lighting and everyone coming in & out of the door. All of which were delicious. The bartender was very attentive and made incredible drinks. I had 2 expresso martinis my fiance had aperol spritz and both were incredibly flavorful. All five in my party had dried out sandwich bread and the chicken sandwich bun seemed stale. My wife said the chicken salad tasted like bananas. I was told that the executive chef makes six figures!
