Am from out of town and found this place on Yelp. Was helping our son move into his new place and traveled out of state with our 2 dogs. Having them go to doggie daycare was the best idea as we are physically moving furniture and boxes into my son's new home and it would be tough with our dogs at our feet. read more

I have taken my dog to daycare here for the past 3 months( since I adopted her). The staff is always friendly. They socialize her with other dogs and give her Medicine if she is on it. She is always excited to go in in the morning. They even show me videos periodicity they have taken of her playing well with the other dogs. I have never had a reason to question she is getting the best care while she is there. They are open until 6pm every week day and the price is cheaper if you pay for 5 days than if you pay by the day. I recently tried the grooming service, I have a Great Pyrenees mix, so grooming is quit a task. Lisa groomed him exactly how I wanted. I will definitely be back! read more

If I could give -5 Stars I would. I brought my dog there last week. I asked for a full grooming. I specifically asked for a nail trim and a nexgard flea and tick pill. The lady at the desk called the vet across the parking lot and said he was up to date on his shots and the would give him the Nexgard pill. I went to pick him up and paid the bill. I got home his nails had NOT been trimmed. I took him back. Once again they LIED about that. One week later he is covered in fleas! I took him to the vet and come to find out the groomer cannot give the pill to him. I was charged for it! I wouldn't bring him back there in two lifetimes. What a crock of shit! read more

Whenever I go out of town I board my dog with these folks. The Boarding Ark is right next to Ark Animal Hospital so if my dog gets sick there is a vet close by to treat him. This makes me feel a bit better about leaving him. My dog suffers from separation anxiety and normally cries when I leave him but, when I take him there he is just fine. I think it must be the kind caring staff. The staff treats my dog like he is one of the family just like he is use to. The facility is clean! I have boarded my dog in other kennels that were not nearly as clean. You would hardly know that you are at a kennel. They have deluxe kennel that make your pet feel right at home. The deluxe kennels have ceiling fans, flat screen TVs and a little cot for them to lie on. The staff with give your dog meds or a special diet if it is needed these services are not always found at boarding kennels. The fact that the offer full grooming services is just wonderful, they even have special shampoos for dogs with sensitive skin. All these services, kind people and a great price make me one happy doggy mama. The one thing that needs improvement about their facility is the hours. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday they close at noon and they are not open on Sundays. I really hated going on a trip only to return on a Sunday and have to wait until Monday to pick up my dog. read more

We have taken our dog here twice now while we were going out of town. We have had no problems. Matter of fact she gets excited when we pull up to the door.. to the ones here that the dog died, sad, but maybe there was something wrong that you didn't know about before hand. The cuts. If you know animals any at all, they can get into anything. And you stated that it had an inside, outside kennel?? Sir that means it has a doggy door so fido can go outside anytime 24-7 don't need anyone to walk him.. duh.. maybe he backed up because he too stupid to figure out that himself.. before you judge a business, get facts and learn about how animals react in different places and situations.. read more

I heard great things about ark but that's where it stopped I left my malimut overnight just to give them extra time to do a good job on my animal and I get the call she's ready at 4:30 to arrive at 5ish to a still soaking wet smelly mess whatever you do if you care about your animal go anywhere but here !!!! read more

Boarding at the Ark, Is very good just took my puppy to stay there for six days. It's very clean and they take care of the dogs with food provided, walks, and if not neutered they take the dog out to pee personally. I would totally recommend taking your dog a hundred percent. Great place, nice people, and cute dogs. read more

BOARDED HER ON A SAT. 11:00AM AND PICKED HER UP ON THE FOLLOWING TUES. P.M. SHE WAS VERY SICK AND WE QUESTIONED THE OWNER ,TODD IF SHE WAS ILL AND HE STATED THAT SHE WAS JUST STRESSED FROM BOARDING AND THIS WAS COMMON. Took her home and she was breathing 120 breaths per min and moments later threw up bright red blood. I called Todd and he refused to let me talk to staff that cared for her and he again said it was stress! We wrapped her up and rushed her to the Ark animal hospital where she was in serious condition.She ,my JRT WAS DEAD WITHIN 10 MIN. My husband walked over to boarding facility and Todd would not even speak to my huaband.Staff claimed he was not there which was a complete LIE because the vet had just spoke to him. The vet sent her to Auburn for autopsy. . I hope we have results tomorrow. This has been devastating. AGAIN DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY! THEY HAVE NOT SPOKEN TO US SINCE THIS HAPPENED.All they had to do was walk 50 feet to the Ark hospital while we were gone and gotten her help or called us while out of town .It was so obvious she was very ill.So I had about 10 min. with her before she died. read more

We've used this kennel a few times now. In the beginning I liked it. I like that it is attached to a vet and the facilities seemed clean and well managed. However on our most recent stay, I suspect that my dogs were not walked at all. We reserved the indoor/outdoor runs. My pets are fully house broken and will not go bathroom on concrete or in a kennel.(I verified before I reserved the run they would still get walked twice a day and 15 min playtime at least once a day.) I suspect the neglect because of the frequency and urgency that my pets went potty after we returned home.I won't go into details, but I will say that it got to the point I considered taking them to our vet (not the same as the boarding facility). Thankfully after 2 days they cleared out the backlog and we are now searching for a different boarding option. read more

Do NOT go to the Ark Boarding. The first time we boarded our dogs there, they both came back with a virus that caused them to have diarrhea for two days. We thought maybe it was just a one time thing, so we took them back there another time and took their own food. This time one of our dogs came back with diarrhea for 4 days. When we took her to the vet, she had pancreatitis!! A $250 dollar vet bill and a very sick dog!! Before they even tested our dog for pancreatitis, the vet commented that they had another dog in the office earlier that day who was boarded at the Ark and had pancreatitis. That's 2 dogs in a week with the same problem coming from the same place!! There is something bad wrong going on at the Ark! STAY AWAY!!!!!!! read more

My English Bulldogs had boarded at Boarding the Ark many times and on December 22,2011 received a bath because we were coming to pick them up. My sweet boy was put in a drying cage and died. He was taken to the vet next door when he was unconscious and with a body temperature of 110, the vet did all she could but he was gone. We are devastated. When I asked what happened the owner himself told me that maybe my dog barked too much. He never even apologized. read more

The only way I would give this five stars would be if they were negative ones! We boarded our dog here and when we came to pick her up we heard a terrible screaming (our sweet dog)! The receptionist looked panicked and I asked if that was our dog she just laughed it off and assured me it was someone else's pet. She is an extremely loving dog and when they opened the door she was being basically dragged by her leash and shaking! When we took her out to the car we noticed freshly bleeding cuts all over her back legs and a huge cut on her tail. When I got home I called them and they said she probably got caught in the fence...WTF??? I don't know what sadistic trash thought it was alright to abuse a helpless animal but if you love your pet, DO NOT leave them at this place! This happened 2 years ago and I debated about saying anything but I have depended on Yelp for many decisions and this seemed to big to let go.
