Beer list 4/22/26

This is a must stop for beer in the Southbay! Nestled near Smokey Hollow , the location is comfortable and spacious. Easily accessible from Main Street and offering wine and beer! Staff is outstanding, friendly and charming! Feel like a local and catch a chat with some many amazing regulars!

Made this stop for the Pint Life Passport , so far one of the top favorites on the list. I had the mango seltzer (sorry no pic , I was thirsty) which was the perfect light pick up for a hot day, not too sweet and super crisp cold I ordered some to go and was treated a watermelon jalapeño seltzer which was such a treat, not too spicy , just a little hint on the back of the throat with the soft sweet of the watermelon soooo gooood . Definitely coming back here with friend. Dog friendly aka Billie approved !

Friendliest brewery in town! First time at Boardroom Brewery for a friend's going away. Good vibes and smiles all around. Not overly crowded like some other breweries, which was nice. We hung out in the back lounge space. Large couch and seats surround a low table. Felt like we were chillin in a friend's living room. Right next to us was a small arcade/game room. Perfect space for my teenage son to play and hang when we didn't want to be around the adults. Great selection of board games also. Each drink I had was delish. The IPA, the Hazy, the Seltzer..yum. We even loved the Sangria so much that we took a 6 pack home with us. A birria taco stand was serving up food for the day. My son loved his shrimp tacos. And bonus that they had several flavors of Jarritos for sale to accompany the food. They were cashless and conveniently accepted Venmo, Zelle, and even Apple Pay. Every space, including the bathroom was well spaced and clean. I even loved the hand soap in the bathroom. I was THIS close to asking what brand/scent it was so I can find some for myself. (low key would still love to know haha) Next time I'm in El Segundo I know where we are hanging out.

Attended a private event here. Drinks were great and the service was very family like. Cute ambiance.

Great gathering spot in El Segundo to grab drinks (the Golden Stout is top tier) or hold an event. Came her a couple times for a birthday party and a Christmas party. Staff has been excellent. Different food trucks and vendors have been there, not sure if there's an available calendar. Very chill vibes, indoor/outdoor seating, and super pet friendly.

Another awesome brewery in the great town of El Segundo. My daughter discovered it during an arts festival. We visited on a quiet week day afternoon after a beach walk. Nice people work there. We tried a sour, an IPA, and a German-style beer. All tasty!

This brewery has a really good vibe and nice seating options. The bartender was great and we really enjoyed the beers. Kolsch (great) Pilsner (very good) Dark Lager (great) Marzenbier (great)

Diego, the best bartender!

Local hidden gem. If you're ever in the neighborhood and are in the mood for a great beer and phenomenal service do not hesitate to stop by. Diego is by far my favorite bartender. Extremely friendly staff and great beer. Local food vendors also kick it up a notch!

Really cool atmosphere and some good beers. My beertender Rosalind recommended some delicious options for a flight and I think I'm gonna make this a regular spot for me after work! 10/10 recommend

So apparently of you are a paying customer and ask to watch something on one of their TVs it doesn't take precedence over an owner(co owner) that wants their child to watch Entertainment Tonight.) I guess the brewery is their own living room. Wow

I am not much of a beer drinker. It does not fit my style. Plus, Emily Gilmore implied that it was…read morenitwit juice and Buffy devolved to a Cave person after drinking enchanted beer so these quasi-after-school specials taught me that heathens and their kin drink beer. Of course, I kid, beer can be a wonderful thing, I just rather do cocktails and shots. So I went to Sugar Monkey Brewing because of a different pull: a power point slide show where friends pitch their single friends to strangers for a chance at love or romp. So I went in not knowing much of Sugar Monkey Brewing and I left with clear understanding that this place is an industrial beer oasis near the beach. The contrast of sand and blue on the horizon and the present aluminum lining made me feel like I was seeing a new uncommon mixture that proved that clashing environments can gel to delight. I found parking easily. It was a Saturday early evening, and about a 5 minute walk was where I discovered my spot. I honestly hated that I had to walk those 5 minutes but the walk uplifted my spirits for the weather was California crisp and the air and sky and atmosphere felt safe and proper. I wondered if i had the right place? The streets looked like too industrial. Like I had gone to one of those places that had a lot of factories in rows, but not much else. But I turned a corner and there was Sugar Monkey. Then I realized that a brewery would probably look like a beer factory so this place, with all its steel and pumps, had found its home amongst beach skies. As I walked back to my car, later that evening, I was in slight awe at the pale light blue and orange sky. It was serene, and vast and somehow beach appropriate. The water tower iin a picture I took was a nice touch as it reminded me of the Animaniacs, especially Wakko and Dot. I arrived after the first presentation was on its way. I started to listen intently to understand the dynamics because this all seemed so weird yet plausible. Like a dating auction turned fun not hokey or corny? The person was hyping up her friend J. Apparently, he spoke many languages, and hiked and did all these other stuff that were meant to induce attractions. Then she asked, What can he do? And she then explained how she was going to make a joke and that no one needed to fear going to hell if they laughed. And she then reveal that the thing he can't do is SEE because he was blind. The joke was in good taste. The joke, at least to me, carried disability pride. She had revealed that he was different because his sight was different to a crowd of would be judges and suitors. The strength of the duo was refreshing, dare I say, more than the beach breeze. Being witness to this moment made me feel like I had seen a beautiful moment and one I never imagine I would see. And for this reason alone, my trip to Sugar Monkey was more than fun, it was heart-opening. The place itself is cool. Their outside was a huge garden like setting. The place had pool, however, the patio is crowded so I am not sure how people can play if too many people are there. Another thing I saw- that is a credit to this place- is that it had a wheelchair elevator. So if someone was chilling in the patio and wanted to chill in their wooded floor area- where the bar was they could use the wheelchair lift, if they could not use their legs. The place had also had kind of like an off-beat personality. It had a British phone, an astronaut that seemed to have hit a space that painted him with grafitti flare, and beers with names like green means go. I think I would go to this place again, for the beer and the air and to Karaoke. I loved this place and the activity it hosted!

The beer is ok, 3/5. Definitely a step behind the other breweries in area but a few options I do…read morelike. Food trucks are typically very solid, overall I would give food a 4/5. Ownership/service is about as bad as it gets. Overall service is pretty awful, not welcoming, catering to an odd crowd. I've been to sugar monkey about 20+ times over the last year, so this isn't a one off experience. We live local and go often but have slowly started just going to other breweries in the area given consistently poor service/rude servers here. I think there is really high potential here but they just swing and miss.

Not really what I expected. The Nashville chicken wings were ok, a bit oily/greasy for my taste and they forgot blue cheese instead of ranch (just a knit of mine). The pretzel with beer cheese and "spicy mustard" were okay! Cheese is a bit liquids for my stats and mustard is just slightly brown mustard. Beers here are always great! Can't complain there. They always play the games though, super awesome after a long Friday! NHL, NBA, MLB ;) nice and sporty vibes. Will be back... I work walking distance

What better place to have a book club meeting than at a brewery?! Haha…read more My girls and I absolutely loved common place; such a vibe with such good music and energy! There's plenty of seating and I can imagine during this time (World Cup season) this place gets so packed and fun in the best way. The service was great. We had a lot of questions about the drinks. We were recommended a flight if we were unsure which you can customize; I definitely recommend this if it's your first time so you can try a little bit of everything. They had a vendor selling tacos, burritos and other Mexican style items which were absolutely delicious and with the drinks it was a perfect combo! I'm not sure if they change that side vendor or if they are a semi permanent partner with them, but I love that they offer small businesses an opportunity to sell their foods. I was told that they used to be located in a different area or accessing brewery was through another area so pay attention to signs, especially for their nearby parking. Although we had no issues finding this space! To end our fabulous book club meeting, we of course, had to take our festivities to the Photo Booth. Such a fun and cute little touch too and already cute place. I loved it and I hope I can catch one of the World Cup games here!

This was one of the best pizza-related choices I've made in Southern California. Parking is a little tough...I ended up parking a few blocks away on a main street, which was fine, but didn't notice there was a public parking structure available closer behind a building across the street. The place was crowded and lively on the early Saturday evening I was there. That's a great sign...I was just getting a slice to go, but overheard the host telling people it would only be 10-15 minutes for a table. I had a classic cheese slice. (My litmus test for NY pizza at a new location.) It was FANTASTIC. Easily among the very best crusts I've had on the west coast...super thin and crispy...exactly as it should be. The balance of sauce and cheese was also perfect. Too many pie shops seem to treat sauce as an afterthought...too thin a layer, almost not tastable. But not here...it was perfect...the right amount of everything. There are other really delectable looking pizza options, even for vegetarians like me, including a fascinating "Cacio E Pepe" and a Margherita. (I also saw one which looked all sauce like a tomato pie, which looked really good. (Plus other options like Fried Brussels Sprouts or Fried Cauliflower...cheese bread, and salads. The beer menu, as one would expect with "pint" in the name, is extensive with lots on tap and "guest" brewery selections. Lots of wines to choose from as well. Slice and Pint may be local to El Segundo (lucky El Segundonians!) But my experience with this one slice is that it would be worth the drive from anywhere in SoCal to eat here...If you love NYC-style thin slices...like real legitimate ones...charge up the car and get yourself there.

After finding a table, we went back up ready to order and the server responded pretty rudely: "Did you not hear what I said?" I completely understand restaurants get busy and mistakes happen, especially in a loud environment, but the attitude felt unnecessary over a simple misunderstanding. We ended up leaving and went to Japonica around the corner instead, where the service was much friendlier.

The crew behind the counter is always welcoming, knows their beer, and actually remembers people and what they like. It has that rare neighborhood feel where you don't just grab a drink and leave. You feel like part of something. The rotating food vendors are solid, and being able to bring your own food is a big plus. The space itself is great. It's tucked right off Rosecrans with both indoor and outdoor seating. The garage doors open things up so you still get that beach breeze even if you're inside. Only real downside is parking right in front can be tough, but if you're willing to walk a block, Hawthorne and Rosecrans usually have spots. We even hosted a party here in 2025 and the experience was smooth from start to finish. Chris made everything easy. Communication was mostly over email, super clear and responsive, and they took the time to walk us through the space in person when we had questions. The upstairs area is very nice though can run a little warm. Thankfully, they have fans! We opted for the patio since I like the open air and it gave us extra room. Very helpful and accommodating and a super reasonable minimum spending amount. We had around 30 people and it never felt cramped. A bunch of our friends have come back on their own since, which says a lot. And yeah, the beer. It's that good. There are a lot of strong breweries around here, but this one hits different. The Hazy Lil Daisy IPA is a go to, and their seasonal and themed releases are always fun and creative without sacrificing quality. They also make it easy for non drinkers to feel included with solid options like NA seltzers, sodas, and juices (which works great for my wife)!
