Customer Service is terrible with the service manager Marcel. Our boat was in this shop for 2 weeks for a service that is supposed to take 3 hours and then we have to deal with this rude service manager. Zero communication for two weeks. No updates, nothing. We got a price of $980 and even signed the form when we dropped off the boat. then after several calls. we finally get in and boat country turns around and says "$1150 or I take off the parts!" . Yes, the service manager said that. This service manager made a mistake and instead of owning up and fixing the issue, he threaten to take off all the parts. We are never coming here again. Service Manager Marcel gives crap service!! Rudest manager I have ever come across in my life. You make a mistake, own up to it like a man!! Not a wuss who makes threats to remove parts. read more

Came here twice for maintenance service. Each time the person confirmed that my "Boat was ready". Both times I came in I found that my repairs were not complete. Issues not solved, panels not secured, trim panels still laying around. It is apparent to me that there is no maintenance supervision there. After a technician finishes the work, a supervisor should quality check his work before releasing it to the customer. This is my second purchase from Boat Country, took out my brand new North River to the delta today to realized my steering was reversed ( steer left to turn right and steer right to turn left) pulled it right out of the water immediately and noticed the boat was off set so the boat was a little lopsided due to incorrectly installed of the side rail on the trailer, missing nut on one of the u-joint. Man, this got to be my worst boat purchase experience. I would expect more from a high end boat. This is a major safety concern guys! Double check before you tow your boat home. read more

BE CAREFUL BEFORE STEPPING IN TO THIS DEALERSHIP!!! I live in Los Angeles and saw online a brand new boat that I like at this dealership. I called the dealer and spoke with Colton the sales manager and we agreed on a price and closed the deal. I asked Colton to make sure that everything in the boat is good and ready to go (even though it's a brand new boat) because I live so far and wanted to make sure it's all good before I'm coming to pick it up. I was very excited and a few days after I drove over 4 hours to go and pick up my new boat. When I got to the dealership I see that the boat wasn't ready as the guys still putting things together and also found some issues with the gel coat. Colton assured me that this is not a big deal and can be easily repaired during off season. After I start using the boat every time I would find another missing parts on the boat, endless mechanical issues, parts of the boat not holding up and more and more issues with the gel coat. I was hoping that Colton and boat country marine will help me fight the manufacture to find a solution for my boat so I can use it and enjoy it. Unfortunately after they received their money and closed the deal it was impossible to get any help from them, didn't didn't even try to listen and advise on my issues with the boat. I have to deal directly with MasterCraft which are not any better then this guys. I would never go back to this dealership and during my bad experience with this guys, found couple other dealerships that was so amazing and helpful even though I didn't buy the boat from them. I have been calling and trying to get a service for my boat since February of 2020, with no response. I have left multiple voice messages in the service department and not one call back. They were rumored to open a second location in Pittsburg Ca. Spoke to a few different people that answered the phone who had no information on that. I finally had to bite the bullet and call Larsen Marine in Stockton. The guy at Larson told me if I had my boat there by 9 AM I will be serviced and ready to go by the end of the day. I would not recommend for country for anything. They don't even have called courtesy to return calls. I don't understand how this place can even stay in business. read more

We just bought our first boat from Boat Country a 2019 North River. I don't normally bother with writing anything on Yelp but I wanted to take the time to actually put something on here. Colton Smith was the sales team member helping us through the process and he was AMAZING. Colton spent time on our first visit to boat country to walk us through all the types of North River boats and really nail down what it was we were looking for (because we weren't really sure!). He also went through and explained and got us pictures or showed us on other boats (at the store) all the options that we could do with our North River boat. He even talked to North River so that I could get the North River Logo sticker I liked the best on the boat (which I wasn't sure if that was going to be possible). He kept in touch with us during the build process, sending us weekly email updates and photos from the factory. When it came time to pick up our boat he even pulled some strings and worked extra hours with some of his co-workers to get the boat ready for pick up just before a big holiday weekend. Since we've had the boat for a while, he has also kept in touch. Assisted with scheduling our first routine maintenance and on his off time helped us straighten out the settings on our GSP system. I loved my experience here, all of the staff I had interactions with were amazing. Colton was the best! I contacted Boat Country about a 1999 Pro-line 202 boat they had listed on Craigslist. Living an hour and a half away I wanted to find out the true condition of the boat, and if anything major had ever been fixed. The guy on the phone told me the boat was in excellent condition and and I should not be disappointed. I agreed to drive down the next day on Saturday to look at the boat and take it for a trial run. When I arrived and looked at the boat I could not believe what I saw. The seat cushions were held together with duck tape the drivers seat was held together with a pair of vise grip pliers, and all the plastic access covers were sun rotted. With all the good reviews for this dealer I dont understand why they did not fix this issues before showing the boat, and detail it. read more

Over the years I have had 9 different boats, and have dealt with boating industry people from San Jose to Sacramento... and Boat Counrty is by far the most knowlegable dealer out there (and still there!) I live in the Bay Area, and there are several Malibu boat dealers much closer to me, than driving the 94 miles (one way) to Escalon. But I will drive along way to see my family, and thats how I feel every time I go and see Brent, Stan , Greg, Ryan and the rest of the guys there. Their attention to detail, and making sure that everything is perfect with my boat, is why I have bought (2) Malibus from them, reccomend them to all my friends and family(who have also bought new Malibus from them) and ALWAYS take my boat to them for service, stereo, trailer, graphics, or any other boat related gear! Was looking for an small outboard motor online and they Had one advertised on craigslist. Recently I had purchased a almost new larger motor that was too large for my boat. So I gave them a call and ask them if they would be interested in some sort of trade and cash deal. Normally a shop is not too interested in doing a deal like that and you normally would not get treated as well . But I talk to Brent and made the trip down from Placerville California which is a pretty good drive he said he wanted to look at my engine and would do a deal if the engine is what i said it was .When I got there I dealt with Colton I'm assuming his sales manager and the guy was friendly unloaded my engine treated me very well. Also this is probably one of the nicest boat shops I've ever been to. I don't know how many boat places everybody has dealt with but they're usually not the nicest places to deal with unless you're buying a new boat they always are too busy and don't act like they have time for you and if you were trying to sell something to them they probably wouldn't spend any time with you. Anyway they tested my engine showed me that there's ran good and Brent The owner did just like he said over the phone paid me Difference like he said and they loaded mine up .it's probably one of the best deals I've had in a long time. For anybody that needs parts or even a new boat this place is nice and clean that I have seen .I didn't feel like I had to mask up there.
