The Veggie Bowl + Side of Guacamole (2 oz), Chips and Side of Boat House Salsa (Spicy) (8 oz)

Boat House was the PERFECT meal for our first night on Nantucket. We were able to bike over and park in the bike rack right outside. The menu was varied- something for everyone- and the food was fresh. I had a Veggie Bowl and my husband tried the Jerk Chicken- we both loved our meals. We also got chips and salsa, waffle fries, and festival bread which was all delightful. Portions were generous, service was friendly, and they had a very healthy takeout business as folks were in and out the whole time we ate. I was grateful for an affordable, casual meal after a long day of travel and highly recommend stopping by!

Worst Jamaican stew chicken I ever had ... the rice was dry, the chicken was bland with just a ton of spice ... as if they were using the spice to hide the bland taste ... the food came in two small separate containers which is a "no no" with traditional Jamaican take out... the point of one plate is to mix the stew gravy with the rice .. everyone knows that .. on top of that the servings were very small for the price ... if your gonna jack a culture's food then at least do it right ... they are serving other ethic foods as well so probably why they can't get it right ... I'll stick to "Island kitchen".. some price but way better Food and presentation ...

Was on Nantucket this week for some business, and every single day we went to the boat house for lunch. Day 1: Spanish chicken burrito. First Time iv ever had a burrito with roasted sweet potatoes on it. Wow was it good. With a homemade toffee chip cookie for dessert, we were starting off strong. Day 2) steak and cheese sub with waffle fries. Top 3 steak and cheese subs I've ever had. This is predominantly a burrito shop it seems, so I was very impressed. Fries were perfect as well, taken out just at the perfect fried moment. Paired with a coffee and chocolate chip cookie this time, yet again I left feeling impressed. This spot has been the best lunch/dinner spot I've checked out on island to this point, and iv been around the block(s). If you're ever on island for business or for vacationing, give the boat house a stop!

Great food! This place is like Chipotle. Reasonably priced for being on the island of Nantucket. Everything was perfect about this place the people the atmosphere everything I don't know what else to add I just wish when I got the boat I came here first for food.

Here is the menu! They have quick breakfast! And they stay open late too! Thank God!

Beautiful island vibe. Authentic and genuine food. Excellent out of the way place to eat. The Lobster rolls were unexpectedly amazing.

Long walk, but worth it. Fresh. Creative (roasted sweet potato) and classic (guac) toppings. Nice staff.

It was that good. Only one meat pie made it out the parking lot. Service was great. This is a grab and go restaurant. Lots of delivery and to-go orders. The ambiance is casual. To-go orders and eat in the parking lot. Definitely a go to spot on my next trip.

Just got some takeout from this local joint. Back where I'm from, there's a Jamaican restaurant in…read moretown as well, so I loved coming in here and seeing and smelling the different dishes. Quite a variety on hand that we don't have back home. Note: The accents are thick. If you have questions about what some of the foods are, good luck. But it's worth it. I was torn between jerk pork and stewed peas. With pig tails! and beef, that was the winner. I love how the server started to ladle in the rice and beans, and then stopped herself because they are so used to serving locals / Carribean natives, they are used to a certain homestyle way of serving things. No no, I made sure they served exactly the way they would make it for their own people. And grabbed some rum cake and sweet potato pudding (with raisins!) on the way out. How good are those? Well shut my mouth (if you get the reference). Brought it home, unpacked, demolished. What a delicious meal. I just got a medium and that was enough for my large appetite. A large would be for two people or to have leftovers for another day. The pig tails had bones so I had to pick those with my hands (whee!), and there were a couple of stewed white yams lurking in there as well. I also note that a majority of the building is a grocery store with all sorts of ethnic goods, if you want to try cooking for yourself or for a taste of the islands all the way up here on the Cape. I call this "cafe" a hidden local gem that deserves more attention from y'all.

Similar to the pork in Portuguese dishes like pork & little necks but with a crispy exterior and a melt-in-your-mouth flavor explosion on the inside. The brown rice with beans and the black beans in sauce are so good that it is my benchmark for a rice side going forward. In my last order I placed for 13 people the proprietor made a dish special for me to try on the house... basically all the elements of the pork plate but goat meat in place of the pork. I have had goat at game dinners in the past. You eat it and its pretty good and you're like "hmm, this ain't half bad!" This goat was absolutely phenomenal! Some of the most tender, not gamey meat I've ever had. I cannot recommend Sr. MARIES enough. If you're looking for something different from pizza or Chinese one night, try some Caribbean Cuisene from Sr. Marie. I promise it will be your first of many visits there!
