I had emailed them 2 times just to get some info about an older Volvo motor and possibilities regarding it's issue. They never responded so I called them yesterday, and after they found the 2nd email, they answered the questions. So I said please respond to the email. Then today I got a call from a Brandon, while he told me of the possibilities on the phone, he would not put anything in writing, i.e. email response, not even that there are a lack of parts for this motor. I've had good luck dealing with these guys in the past, but I don't know about this Brandon guy and his boss. Finally, upset I did call a 3rd time after being hung up by him twice, and he told me after talking to his boss that they would pass on looking at it, even though they work on Volvo boat motors. Very surprised and disappointed with these guys. Honestly, I hate posting negative reviews and prefer to post 5 stars as I often do for people, but I don't know how anybody can say West Coast Marine Services didn't earn this 1 star! We live 3 hours from the dealership and knew they were not open on Sunday. We called Lee back and asked him if he could possibly meet us Sunday. He said of course! Lee gave us exceptional service! Since I bought the boat a variety of issues have come up and some required replacement parts others just maintenance work. It has been my experience that Flower's does good work at a very fair price. Joe, the owner, is one of the more enjoyable people to deal with. He is patient and will explain what they are doing in a manner that is easy to understand. He and his mechanic are also VERY willing to give advice on work that you might undertake yourself and avoid a trip to the shop. All in all, a great business to do work with.

Beware of these folks! I ordered a Raider Voyager 2484 with a Honda BF250 a few years back, all…read morewent well enough, the boat was delivered on time and as ordered. I used the boat a few times and noticed cavitation on turns and in following seas. I examined the cavitation plate relationship to the bottom of the boat and it looked 4 inches to high, I took pictures and showed them to the service manager and sales staff, they dismissed it and said the installation was proper and pretty much said there is nothing they would do. I had trips planned and fishing to do so I used the boat as it was as under most conditions it was fine and performed well. The BF 250 will basically shut down as a self protection function if it senses over rev or cavitation. I had a qualified Honda service tech look at it the other day and he said the installation was not correct and it should have had a 30 inch lower unit not a 25. The modification will cost me $3800 but I am willing to pay it in order to have a safe boat in following seas. I suggest buying your boat elsewhere!
