BEWARE -- FIRST RESPONDERS, MILITARY & OTHER CUSTOMERS…read more
I strongly recommend reading the negative reviews before leaving your boat or jet ski with All Source Marine. I saw them and couldn't believe experiences like that could happen. Then it happened to me.
I brought my running--but poorly running--2004 Yamaha XLT800 to Mike in April 2026 for major engine repairs. I paid $2,790: $1,000 cash and a documented $1,790 debit-card payment.
What followed was approximately FIVE MONTHS of delays and constantly changing problems: driveshaft issues, water/moisture, cylinder/head problems, crank/bearings, plans for another motor, another rebuild, more parts and finally an alleged electrical/no-spark problem. At one point I was specifically told the rebuilt motor "runs great."
I remained patient, repeatedly thanked Mike and gave him additional time. I essentially lost my entire summer.
Eventually I demanded completion or a financial resolution. During that dispute, Mike was willing to provide $500 in connection with receiving title to my ski while keeping the repair money I had already paid. I declined and retrieved my property.
Then it became unbelievable.
I was told the ski had an unresolved NO-SPARK condition. I got it home, charged the battery and reconnected a disconnected wire associated with the kill switch.
THE SKI STARTED.
Mike later texted that they had reassembled the electrical box Friday and perhaps a connection made better contact, adding: "We didn't test start it after that."
I then water-tested it. The ski starts and idles, but under moderate/full throttle BOGS BADLY AND WILL ONLY GO APPROXIMATELY 3-5 MPH.
So after five months and $2,790: I was told the rebuilt motor "runs great," then problem after problem, then no spark, then it starts at home, and then it barely moves under load. The goalpost never seemed to stop moving.
I was also informed at pickup that the shop had removed the original oil-injection pump during the rebuild and converted the ski to 50:1 premix.
THEN A BUSINESS DISPUTE BECAME PERSONAL.
I work for a law-enforcement agency in Northeast Florida. I am also an Iraq/Afghanistan combat veteran and continue serving in the Army National Guard. I mention this because Mike chose to inject my profession into a jet-ski dispute.
Mike wrote "I know you're a deputy that doesn't matter..." and later "pretty typical of a deputy."
After my wife attempted to locate other customers with similar experiences, Mike and his wife began communicating with/responding to her on social media. Mike referenced my employment, an alleged recording, "slander," and even my retirement/pension, asking "Isn't he trying to retire... With a pension?"
Neither my wife nor I responded. We documented everything.
Mike is free to make any legitimate complaint to my employer or Internal Affairs. I welcome an objective review and will provide the complete, unedited communications. I will not be intimidated into silence because my career or pension is brought into a consumer dispute.
After experiencing the personal response when we spoke up, I now personally wonder whether this type of confrontation discourages some dissatisfied customers from posting reviews. I cannot speak for anyone else--I can only document what happened to us.
The circumstances of my transaction have been reported to the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office, and documentation was provided. I will let the appropriate authorities determine whether anything beyond a consumer/civil dispute occurred.
I have retained my invoice, payment records, texts, photographs and social-media communications.
$2,790 paid. Five months without my ski. An entire summer lost. "Runs great." Then no spark. Then it starts. Then it bogs at 3-5 mph under load. A $500/title discussion. Then my wife, profession, employer and pension get dragged into the dispute.
Based on my documented personal experience, I CANNOT RECOMMEND ALL SOURCE MARINE.
First responders, military and everyone else: READ ALL THE REVIEWS. KEEP YOUR RECEIPTS AND TEXTS. DOCUMENT EVERYTHING. MAKE YOUR OWN INFORMED DECISION.
