Always drop in when visiting Cambria. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The bourbon selection is outstanding. Hard to find items like Eagle Rare and Buffalo Trace abound. Nearly the full range of Weller is here as well. There is bourbon here for every taste and budget. If you feel like breaking the budget, look on the wall over the register for the Antique Collection and Van Winkle. I know that bourbon is not for everyone, happily you will find tequila, rum, vodka, etc. Again in every price range. There is plenty of beer and wine available as well. read more

Went in to grab some drinks, 6/22/2026, grabbed a Moscow mule and after noticing chunks in our drinks it raised my concern and I checked the expiration date and the drink expired 5/5/2021. I'll be contacting the city for inspection and if I have any hospital bills you'll be hearing from my lawyer. read more

Ownership changed a couple of years ago. A married couple own it and they also own the restaurant next door which used to be "Home Cooked and Authentic Mexican Food." Now it's Mediterranean food. When the wife is working, she is outgoing and pleasant. When the man who used to Host at Linn's is working, he is outgoing, friendly and fun. But when the husband/owner is working, YIKES! He's mostly outside chatting to another Middle Eastern man and/or smoking cigarettes. We go there frequently when in town because it's convenient for lottery tickets, soft drinks and beer. And, as I mentioned in my previous review, their wine prices were excellent. Now, though, we hate to see that he's the one working. He has been disinterested; he has been inattentive; and he has been downright rude. Yesterday, we were owed eight cents in change and he didn't give it to us; just sent us on our way. Today, he owed us a penny. He didn't give it to us, just sent us on our way. If he cheats every customer out of a nickel (let's say), that adds up. It speaks volumes about his moral compass and business ethics. A couple of years ago, I was making a purchase when another customer asked about the restaurant next door. Without disclosing the fact that he owns it, he said something like, "It's excellent. Great food." Wish I'd had the courage to say, "Well, as the owner, you would say that, wouldn't you?" but I let it slide. Yesterday, my hubby checked out the prices of the wines. They are much higher than they were before. But we know of a gas station in Paso Robles that has great prices. We bought seven bottles of Estancia 2018 Pinot Noir last week for $14.19 a bottle! If the gas station at the other end of Main Street sold lottery tickets, I don't think we'd step foot in Bob & Jan's again. Yes, as others have mentioned, he's more interested in talking on his cell phone than paying attention to his customers and he is rude. read more

I got bait and switched for my online order. I ordered Fortaleza blanco still strength from here on Monday. When I received my order it was the blanco which is less expensive and less difficult to find, fine mistakes happen right? When I reached out to ask about it I was told by the owner that they didn't carry the still strength only the blanco and that he didn't even know there were different options. I found this hard to believe but accepted it as mistakes happen. I had asked about returning them and he told me that I had to return everything or nothing bc he had given me such a good deal on the bourbon I bought (only $10 over msrp) and that he was losing on it so I could take it or leave it. I didn't want to deal with the hassle so I decided to keep. I went on the website today and it looks like they adjusted the products and the prices meaning, that he didn't want to honor the lower price he had listed on the website so he just sent me the wrong product. They are showing both products in stock as well now. Bad and dishonest business that's not to be trusted. I hope it was worth it for them to tarnish their reputation for a few extra dollars. read more

Stopped in to find a nice beach picnic wine from a local winery and found the clerk (who I am certain is the owner) very gracious and knowledgeable of all Central Coast vineyards and especially the Edna Valley. We purchased a nice Chardonnay and received complimentary glass ware and a corkscrew. The owner was very proud of Cambria and surrounding vineyards and we really appreciated his sincere enthusiasm. As good as we could have asked for in a corner liquor store near our hotel! The store is fairly big, about the size of your average convenience store. As you walk in, you'll see liquor and spirits on the left wall and wine over on the right, with a couple of aisles in the center that have snacks and candy, disposable cups and party supplies, and a few basic toiletries. There's also a large display case of mini travel-size bottles up at the front counter. Cold cases in the back have beer, malt beverages, chilled wine, and sodas and mixers. I'm not a beer drinker, so I didn't pay much attention to the beer, but they had six-packs of ciders and Mike's Hard Lemonade and that type of thing. We were looking for a red and they had a decent selection of local CA wines at reasonable prices. There are quite a few options under $20, although they do get pretty spendy if that's what you're looking for. They also had some displays of sale items (mostly weird flavored vodkas and the like). There's another fancy-schmancy wine shop nearby that seems more oriented to tastings and wine by the glass. This is just your basic liquor store and it's a convenient, reasonably priced option in Cambria. read more

Went to buy a bottle of whiskey and had a price label and sticker price of $199 but when i went to checkout the rude cashier and owner were talking a foreihm language amongst them and then wanted $299 for the bottle? They are crooks and were attempting to price gouge me. I left and will never go back again. read more

Bob & hand bottle shop has the Best prices and absolutely hands down the cleanest and nicest liquor store!!! We hit up a lot of liquor stores here and had to just walked out because it was dirty, rude or overpriced. read more

Staff is friendly, they have great hours and on the East side of town - only place to get necessities.... and booze !

We're visiting from out of town and hubby wants some beer for our short stay....but come on $40 for a case of standard Bud Light and a small jug of O.J. REALLY! We've stayed in Hawaii and bought beer for less. read more

Dude behind the counter was cool enough, but I wasn't to happy with the beers they had on deck. Being called the "Bottle Shop" I was hoping for an array of good beers, but found the opposite. BUT I now know they were talking about the hard stuff, because there stockpile was stacked. read more
