Breakfast! First impressions are the place is clean and the staff is friendly. The coffee is fresh and hot... The server was friendly and made excellent recommendations. Amazing pancakes , fluffy and served hot, the butter melted instantly and the sausage links flavorful. I have frequented this restaurant more than a few times over the past month. It's one of my dad's favorites. If you grew up in Ohio then you know Bob Evans. It's a staple. The ambiance is typical Bob Evans. Every time we have come the staff has been friendly. We never waited long for our food and the food has always been delicious. I knocked off a star only because I think they could do a slightly better job wiping down the tables and seats between customers. But, the silverware, cups, plates, etc, have always been clean and spot free and the food has always tasted fresh and not like it had been sitting around. It's definitely made to order. read more

We were sat after we gave our party name & number of guests and waited for AN HOUR. We saw MULTIPLE groups come in AFTER US get sat. Where to begin. Let's start with starting over or close this restaurant entirely. Most recent meal, the fish I ordered arrived STILL FROZEN on my plate. Sent it back, this time it came back swimming on the plate from the fish having been apparently thawed in the microwave and sent back out to me on the same plate. The rolls were hard as hockey pucks. The biscuits and gravy we also ordered. Halfway through that, my husband pushed it away. He said something wasn't right. It didn't taste right. He just gave up on it. They never appeared, all the while in the back of the house-a lot of goofing off. Is this place under new ownership or something? Is it asking too much for your people to care what goes out to the customers' tables? My husband had terrible diarrhea the entire night. Who is hiring these managers, and why are they hiring either complete idiots or people that just don't care, about anything? This experience has led me to ask corporate to pay them a (secret) visit, as well as the county health department. P.S. Our table was one of only two occupied tables at the time, about 3pm. Great experience over all. Walked in a waited a little to get seated (checkout lines were long and so we waited), got seated. Got out drinks taken care of, 5 mins later out order. It was great. I had the western omelette and biscuits and gravy. Hubs got eggs sausage links and French toast. Took about 15 mins to get out meals. The worst part was the sudden call from mother nature. Bathrooms were the issue really. Filthy. Unsupervised kids left presents around and on the seat. I get it sometimes parents don't know that their kids make messes in the bathroom, I've been there too. Very busy, manager older gentleman wearing a half mask incorrectly. Coleslaw minced and lightly sweet- entirely unremarkable. Banana bread side dry and plain. Side rolls were much better- soft, chewy, yeasty. No butter or condiments with my to go order. Honey butter fried chicken had a nice mildly sweet savory flavor but was more like a chicken fried steak patty of chicken than fried chicken with a bone proper. I have been here many times and always enjoy my meal and service. I tried the fresh berry french toast today and it was amazing. Our server was very friendly and very accommodating to my one year old. They provided a high chair seat that sat in the booth with me. Last time I was there they had cute little pig and cow stuffed animals. I really wanted to get my boy the pig to go with the cow he already has but they didn't have it anymore. read more

The reason I will never eat at Bob Evan's! I asked my waitress if I could have a very small spoon of their chili so I could see if I like it or not. The waitress said sure no problem. She soon returned empty handed and told me that the Manager said it was against company policy. So much for "Everybody is somebody at Bob Evan's" What could be the reason behind their policy? I ordered carry out breakfast that should have been 20 min and turned into 45 min. Missing meat, overcooked eggs, blueberry pancakes, 2 on top had blueberry's and 2 on bottom were plain with a few blueberry's sprinkled over them, no butter, no syrup. Stood at counter 10 min before anyone even acknowledged me then when food came wrong they acted like I was asking too much to fix it. Then after they took the bag to fix they still brought it back with no meat. Manager would not comp but did say I had a $20 credit in my name there as if I want to return. By the time I get my food and get out of there I have to take it home and recook the meat and heat up the rest of the cold food. This used to be a standard shopping day starter. I visited on 4/10 and while the food met the usual expectations the restaurant was filthy. One of the servers was complaining that all of the floor sweepers had broken handles, a child vomited one table over and it took the severs at lest 15 minutes to begin to clean it up. The toilet in the men's room was clogged and had overflowed on the floor, when I told the cashier about it she said they knew already. I don't know if this is new management or not but in a restaurant with only 3 tables of customers you would think the could do better. read more

I've been here several times since moving to Ohio. It's good down home food. Their biscuits and rolls are delicious and their menu is delicious. I have not had anything yet that didn't taste awesome. Their chicken broccoli alfredo is actually the best I've had. They don't skimp on the brocolli and it tastes fresh. Delicious warm comfort food. Their knife and fork sandwiches are hearty and tasty. My husband ordered the roast turkey dinner and I place my order. We ask the waitress to serve the rolls with the meal. She later comes back and says the stuffing is on the truck so we ask for extra mashed potatoes. She serves our food and Bob asks for the cranberry sauce she goes and comes back and said that's on the truck too. We ask for our rolls and a side of green beans instead of cranberry sauce. I am getting very disappointed in this restaurant. Tried placing a to go order by phone as I don't do online ordering. Phone system is down and has been for days according to the staff. The last 3 or more times we ordered take out they screwed up on our order. How hard is it to put the pot roast on the pot roast hash, or the gravy on country fried steak, or blueberry sauce on double blueberry pancakes? Normally I enjoy this place and the staff is typically pleasant. I went in to pick up my order and the hostess/cashier was scratching her face, rim of her nose, and ran her fingers through her hair. She then proceeded to get rolls to complete my order. When I told her that I did not want her to get my rolls (telling her what I witnessed her do) she started to argue with me. Told me "I used tongs." I then shared that her behavior was unsanitary and gross as she still touched the inside of the container, the tongs, then the inside of the drawer and she was not to place the rolls in my bag.
