The new breakfast stacker, mom really liked as the food was all in one place and easy to eat.

Defiance, Ohio very nice today. Took my mom for "brunch" and the service was great and the food was awesome. They have really made the experience special. Having a Mimosa for brunch elevated the whole experience.

Met my brother halfway in between us, in Defiance, and had lunch at Bob Evans together. Food was typical menu. Trying to eat healthier, I had grilled chicken and two veggies. Broccoli, I only got two florets (not full spears, just the florets, and not large ones), but they seemed to give me a few extra baby carrots to maybe make up for it. Food quality was good and taste was as expected. Hostess seemed somewhat rushed and super busy, despite the place not being overly crowded or any wait/line - maybe she was doing extra duties. She was still friendly. Waitress was young and seemed somewhat inexperienced, but in today's staff shortage, it's understandable. She did fine despite seeming new. Overall, the restaurant was clean, well kept, food and service were decent - I wouldn't hesitate to go again. If Bob Evans is your thing, this is a decent one.

Why a late line when at least half the restaurant is empty? Not enough staff to serve or cook? Ridiculous!

I don't like that but the staff is completely rude and disrespectful, borderline hostile. They will go out of their way passive aggressively, and it is an unimaginable recurring event. I've been to this restaurant almost 20 times probably this year, with friends and family, and business colleagues, and it almost turns out the same time every time. The restaurants policy is not to share food, so even if you feed your four-year-old child some of your eggs, they will charge you for an entire separate entrée of food. Mind you, that is an entire entrée food you did not receive... But got charged for... I am extremely stunned that lawsuits have not blossom from this location. I'm ashamed to have eaten there so much, honestly. One of the major concerns I have with his restaurant is accountability and integrity. It's not just one employee or event, but it has been handfuls of employees and dozens of visits. I highly recommend you think twice before visiting this restaurant, or at least visit with low expectations. And please, check your food before eating it, three times this year I've had multiple friends order the chicken and it was uncooked, and they got food poisoning. I really think someone needs to report this restaurant to the health department, they are clearly in violation. And perhaps a better business bureau because the moral compass they are currently embracing is very embarrassing.

This is not the type of restaurant that you'd expect in a coastal fishing village. My four star rating is based on the above and value. As pictured, the cuban sandwich and onion rings. I prefer battered rings, but these were breaded and seasoned. They were the best breaded rings i've ever had. The cuban sandwich was traditional with ham, pulled pork, cheese and pickles. It wasn't pressed, but that didn't affect the taste, just the appearance. The servers were very attentive and refilled my iced tea three times. Very clean eating area and restroom.

We chose Habor Hook & Grille. This restaurant sits right across the street from the harbor, hence part of the name, and the food pics looked appealing. It was almost 9pm on a Tuesday night, so there weren't many people. It was rather dark when we entered, so I inquired if it was too late to get dinner and we were told the restaurant was serving until 10pm. The restaurant and bar area was a large open area with very high ceilings. There is an outdoor area for seating and what looked like a bar area as well. I asked about daily specials and our server told us there weren't any due to the Harbor Hook & Grille just implemented a new menu with several new offerings. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We ordered the Calamari appetizer (served with a thicker marinara sauce), the Harbor Cubano sandwich with fries, and the Tuna Poke Bowl. Tha Calamari was good, but could've used some additional seasoning as it was somewhat bland. The Harbor Cubano sandwich was also good - roasted pork, sliced ham, Swiss cheese, dill pickles, and mustard. There wasn't much mustard if any, so our server offered any of their sauces - a garlic aioli was selected. This sandwich was served with fries. I am not sure if it was because we arrived so late or what may have happened, but these fries were somewhat mushy and limp. They may have been sitting for a while or undercooked. The Tuna Poke Bowl, in my opinion, was the highlight of our food selections. The flavor of the tuna, cucumber, carrots, radishes, and pickled onions were topped with a spicy sauce that paired very well with this dish. All-in-all a decent dining experience. I would've gone with 3.5 stars if available in Yelp! scoring.
