The chicken meat was mostly pink or dark, not a good, tender white- which made me wonder if it was canned. There was a savory flavor that I couldn't pinpoint but overall was super bland. It needed some thyme or garlic or paprika... something! I think there was supposed to be grapes in it? But all I found were purple skins. I ended up pulling out most of the meat. The greens were crisp at least! The hot chocolate was really good and hit the spot, definitely creamy. I ended up with an aching, crampy stomach within an hour of eating this food. The exterior looks nice enough and the spacious interior is comfortable and pleasant though not elaborate. We were seated right away and our server attended to us quickly. She did a very good job during our entire visit as she was efficient and attentive but not intrusive. We had our 3-year-old granddaughter with us and they were able to accommodate her with no problem, which was greatly appreciated. The menu offered plenty of options. They seemed at the core to be a Greek Diner with several characteristic offerings you'd expect from such a place. But they also featured plenty of American Midwest-style comfort food as well. My wife tried the Beef and Noodles special that took us back to the type of thing we ate as kids. She ordered that in part because it was something our granddaughter would eat, but she also enjoyed it as well given her proclivities toward such dishes. I opted for the Greek portion of their menu with a Famous Gyro Salad. It was also a very solid choice with good Gyro meat and fresh vegetables accompanied by equally fresh pita. It was all very good. I'll also note that the coffee was decent, which I can't always say for these types of diners. The prices were very reasonable. Overall with food, drinks, tax and tip, we were able to stay at about $14 - $15 per adult. This is not bad at all for dinner by today's standards and I was quite happy with the value. We would not hesitate to try this place again should the opportunity arise.

I had the broccoli and quinoa burger topped with Robin's special sauce (she described it "like Thousand Island, but better" and I agree) and the Reuben. My friend had the egg salad and also got a grilled cheese. The cheese was locally made and you could tell the difference. I'm glad I got two sandwiches because there is no way I could have picked a favorite. Robin also shared that she sources eggs, honey, maple syrup, and whatever else she can locally. It definitely makes a difference. The hummus and veggies were the perfect appetizer to munch on while Robin made our sandwiches. I gotta say, the dill pickle hummus will probably reappear one night in my dreams. So good and so memorable. A couple of other quick hits: the peanut butter cookie (with PB frosting!) and a cup of Dandy Blend to wash it down. I also love that she serves filtered water and offers a variety of alternative drinks like kombucha and tumeric drinks. I might not be passing through Napoleon anytime soon, but I might make a special trip just to eat here again!
