After finishing the RunDisney Springtime Surprise 5k race on a Friday morning, I looked on Yelp for some breakfast restaurants that were open around 7 A.M. One of the first restaurants that showed up on the list was Bob Evans! It's been over 20 years since I've gone to a Bob Evans! I used to go here all of the time on my family vacation trips growing up! We got there right as the restaurant opened, which turned out to be perfect timing! After waking up early for the race around 3:00 A.M, it was nice walking into a calm, quiet restaurant before the breakfast rush really started! The team members were friendly and helpful. The food at Bob Evans really hits that classic comfort breakfast spot! Big portions, hot coffee, eggs, pancakes, sausage, potatoes, all the things you want after running a 5K at Disney before sunrise! Some of their breakfast items included the following Big Griddle Stacker Farmhand Biscuit Sandwich Platter Steak Tips and Eggs Country Fried Steak and Farm Fresh Eggs Cinna Biscuits and more. I ended up trying their Cinnamon Roll French Toast Combo with extra crispy bacon! It was two thick slices of cinnamon roll topped with cream cheese icing, powdered sugar, and whipped topping. I did ask for extra cream cheese icing. It was also served with butter and syrup. My husband ended up getting the biscuits with bacon, ham, potatoes. The meal took about 15 minutes to prepare before our order came out. It was super fast! I really enjoyed the Cinnamon Roll French Toast. It was sweet, but delicious! I'm still trying to find a breakfast spot in Las Vegas that has something similar to what Bob Evans has on their menu! The bacon was delicious too. I prefer my bacon extra crispy! My husband enjoyed the breakfast combo platter (biscuits, eggs, bacon, potatoes, ham) Even though we were there right at opening, the service was quick and the food came out fast! I was hungry after the race and it was a perfect breakfast! Convenient and good portions! Definitely a solid choice near the Disney area if you're looking for a breakfast spot before going to the theme parks! read more

On this beautiful Sunday morning, I visited Bob Evans for a hearty breakfast. I was warmly welcomed and seated quickly by the hostess. The restaurant was already filled with diners, with more people steadily arriving. It was a bit difficult to make up my mind on what to eat, as the menu had so many all-day breakfast options. When the server was ready to take my order, I ordered a cup of decaf coffee with milk and the Double Meat Farmer's Choice, which consisted of my choice of hash browns, scrambled eggs, brioche French toast and bacon. I substituted the sausage links for extra bacon. The food arrived within minutes and was nicely prepared, especially the French toast. In my opinion, if it had just a touch of cinnamon, it would've been perfect. The entire meal was thoroughly enjoyable and filling, all set within the restaurant's relaxed atmosphere. The server's cordial demeanor and attentive service only added to the positive dining experience. I look forward to visiting again soon. read more

Get it! You're welcome in advance! It's delicious. My husband enjoyed his double blueberry hotcakes. The blueberries are cooked in the batter and on top of the hotcakes. My son really enjoyed his chocolate strawberry hotcakes. My husband and son both liked the sausage links, scrambled eggs and hashbrowns with their meal. I devoured (maybe not devoured, I have good table manners) my strawberry hotcakes with caramel drizzle. They were phenomenal. My hashbrowns were okay. I heard from word of mouth that this place was good, but I left super disappointed. Only reason we stopped by because we was near the area during our stay in Florida. The food had zero flavor and the plate was overfilled for no reason. I forgot the name of the meal, but it came with two thick slices of turkey, two slices of ham (I swapped the ham for extra turkey), pot roast, and two scoops each of stuffing and mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were so thick and gluey, it reminded me of the stuff they used to serve in school couldn't even finish it. I hate wasting food, but I had to leave most of it behind. On the positive side, the waitress was nice and the food came out quickly probably because the place was nearly empty. Overall, not a place I'd come back to. read more

Man if you miss the turn, you have a 5 mile detour due to Disney. That was pretty annoying. Out of my entire trip, this was probably the most disappointing meal. This was the first time I ever tried a Bob Evans. The food was okay. But the pictures on their menu were what sold us. We were like wow everything looks good! Nope. The service was so bad. I think our server tried but he seemed like he was slammed and couldn't keep up. We were missing items. We couldn't ever find out server. We didn't get any refills. If it was up to me, I'd give this place 0 stars. This is by far the worse experience I've had any bob evans. The only thing I won't complain about is the server. It was out of her hands and she was very friendly. I had ordered biscuits and gravy and upon receiving the dish, the color of the gravy was so dark you would think they added soy sauce. Both my sister and I tasted the dish and it was super salty. I've never had any issues with their biscuits and gravy but today it was beyond salty like could not get past it. I'm not one to send food back but I just couldn't, I don't blame the server at all because it's not her fault but there was no apology from the manager or even offer to change the dish to something else. Also the coffee was tasted like nothing. The steak tip omelet had caramelized onions but our was burnt to a crispy where it was black and tasted bitter. We just dealt with it since we didn't want to complain again. And for some reason it felt like a sauna in the restaurant. Even the servers were saying it was hot yet nothing was done about it. If I could post zero stars, I would. Long story short, went there on a golf trip with 5 other guys before a round on a Saturday morning. Got a bad impression from the start with 2 homeless people loitering outside the front door, a hostess who looked like she was homeless herself with a dirty filthy shirt on and a miserable look on her face. We were seated, and waited at least 5 minutes before we were asked if we wanted coffee. Waitress had a bad attitude like we were bothering her. Entire staff looked miserable. Waited an incredibly long time for just absolutley horrible food. I mean, how do you screw up breakfast? My omelette tasted like plastic eggs, completely watery inside, with crumbled sausage that didn't even taste like sausage. Everybody else's meal was terrible. Everyone left at least half the food on their plate. I really wasn't expecting much from a Bob Evans. I know it's a chain but we were on vacation and we're unfamiliar with the area. We ate at Perkins right next-door the day before and it was good. We just decided to try something different. We went back to the Perkins the next day and what a difference in food quality service appearance. Like night and day . Four stars for Perkins , zero stars for Bob Evans. As soon as we walked in the hostess says we are in a 30 min hold. You can put your name in and come back or wait. We chose to wait not knowing what a 30 min hold meant. Each person that came in same thing was said. She did explain to one woman that the kitchen is backed up so they aren't seating anyone. We still waited it was about 30 mins then we were seated. Our server John immediately apologized and explained the kitchen is backed up but as soon as our food is done he will bring it out so it is hot and fresh. He was super sweet. He brought us our drinks and I asked if he could bring my boys some banana bread so they have something to eat while we wait. He said of course no problem. We waited almost 90 minutes for our food. The place was empty at this point. When we got there half the place was full and it was large parties. I understood that it would take a bit longer but 90 mins is ridicules. You can see they had I my half the kitchen open. As a courtesy you would think they would have done something. But nope we even got charged for the two slices of banana bread for my children. It was o my 2.95 of seriously my 9 year old children waited very patiently for their food and it would have been nice to have them been given it for free. When we checked out I asked the women at the counter if they were offering a discount she said for what it's spring break they are busy. We are locals not tourist so guess they just lost a repeat customer. It was very disappointing. She didn't even apologize. The only person that apologized was our server. A manager should have been going table to table apologizing to everyone. Had someone other than our server came by to check on us and offer us something while we waited (obviously nothing from kitchen but there are other options). Great children's menu. I might be bias but this is a go to for me on my trips. This particular is my favorite with great staff. I wish i would've gotten the name of my server as it was my first time being served by her (African American lady) but she was a sweetheart. She made us feel like family. Just left and I already want to go back! I am originally from Ohio so I've been to Bob Evan's many times in my life. I've been in Florida for 10 years and often crave that back home taste. From the second we walked in we were greeted with laughter and jokes similar to going to your favorite aunts for a home cooked meal on the first nice weather day of the season. Ohioans know. Our waitress was Yolanda aka the favorite aunt! She was fast, friendly, extremely helpful and warm! Food was cooked to perfection, everything was hot and fresh! Everyone was attentive and friendly and we even left was fresh biscuits which definitely made my day! Nothing like a Bov Evan's biscuit... It's been awhile since we have visited but the food is still delicious and that's what keeps bringing us back. In this particular morning they were pretty busy but we only had a short wait before we were seated. Our server Rosa was the queen of multitasking. She took drink orders from two 4 tops and a two top without missing a beat. My coffee was piping hot and fresh, definitely one of my top Restaurant coffee places. Sadly my besties iced tea was a bit cloudy but he was able to switch to coke without any issue. Our food came out quickly despite how busy they were and everything looked and tasted great! I ordered the breakfast biscuit, which is a biscuit topped with an egg of your choice, white gravy, sprinkled with sausage crumbles and shredded cheese. I chose homefries on the side. Nothing like a great breakfast to start the day and that's just what you can get here at Bob Evan's. I have been visiting for years and was sad when they closed the one nesr my house. This is now there closest one to me and it is conveniently located just before the Disney exit! Today I stopped in and was quickly sat at a table. I ordered my favorite omelette. The south of the border. Loaded with a ground beef, and tomato filling, the topped the more beef and tomato, cheese, sour cream, and pickled jalapenos. Full of flavor, a bit of a kick, and always hits the spot. A great omelette that keeps me coming back to me and time again. Service was not lacking, but it did not blow me away either. She helped me and stood at the counter talking the rest of the time. Including complaining about staffing. We came here because our friends are from Ohio and this is one of their favorite restaurants. We're glad we did. We came on a weekday morning and they were not too busy. We were seated immediately and looked at the menu. It featured fairly standard breakfast items similar to what you'd see on a Cracker Barrel menu. I had a Western omelette. It was very good and very filling. My wife had an egg on a biscuit and she loved it. We live in North Carolina and she'll tell you that Bob Evans makes the best biscuit she's tasted. Our friends had scrambled eggs along with biscuits and gravy. He loves their biscuits and gravy. Service was very good. We had complimentary dinner rolls that were warm and soft. The restaurant was quiet and comfortable, and our waiter was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. I appreciated that this location appeared clean. My pet peeve with the Bob Evans restaurants in my area is that the booths and seating areas are not usually thoroughly cleaned. And the worst part is the food and trash under the tables. However, I didn't notice that at this location, and that was refreshing.
