The staff here doesn't belong in the service industry, poor unprofessional service, none of them take pride in their work. Empty tables everywhere still hadn't been cleaned, it was just filthy. Floors were dirty, when they did clean tables it was with a rag that had been sitting on a table, previously used over and over. When a new customer came in, they would grab the same dirty rag and rush to clean another table. Our food took 35 minutes to come, when we placed our order there were 3 occupied tables. And to top it all off, my daughter got food poisoning from the chicken fried steak. I would recommend you eat anywhere in Wabash but this restaurant. read more

There needs to be a serious reset of the reviews on this restaurant. Most of them are over 2 years ago and have little reflection on the current quality of the food and service. 4 of us went to dinner here at the Bob Evans in Wabash. It wasn't too busy and we were sat immediately. The waitress took orders for drinks and left us to look at the menu. We all ended up with multiple choices that sounded great. If you are looking for classic American food, this is a great choice. They serve breakfast all day (which is a big plus for me) and then they have classics like fried chicken dinner, turkey dinner, and some great looking salads. All of our dinners were fantastic. None of them had an item that we would skip if we went again. Fried chicken breasts were boneless but perfectly fried with excellent flavor. The roasted turkey was succulent, thinly sliced, and wonder. As for sides: 1) the mashed potatoes were smooth, buttery, and perfectly salted, 2) the corn was tender and sweet, and 3) the green beans and ham...yum. As I said, it is time for a reset on the ratings of Bob Evans here. If you go, please weigh in on what you think. If you are managing this restaurant, take the lead and start engaging with comments. I typically don't write about chain restaurants, but I have had the same issue multiple times when ordering takeout. They say 30 minutes, ends up being almost an hour. Missing multiple items. They say that management will take care of it/come talk to you, and they do nothing. We will never be going back. read more

Restaurant needed cleaning,food on floor, they use to have variety of coffee creamers when I asked she said they only had the one kind they were out.My pancakes were stuck together when I tried to separate them for my eggs they tore apart.Had to ask for refill on coffee. Bathroom was dirty to on floor.Maybe they should teach employees to be nicer to guest after all that's how they get tips and why they have a job. read more

Surprised no one has covered this place. Party of 4. We arrived 15 minutes before primetime. (you know a/k/a 3:45 on a Sunday for the blue plate crowd) Probably not a good time to review service standards as it seemed as though we rented the place. A fairly fresh refurb is evident - spiffy and polished. Promptly seated, quickly attended to by our server. Waited no time on fresh decaf. 2 of us tried out the new farm house meals (dolls), 2 others got the old standbys (guys - surprised? you shouldn't be). So there's a table of Chicken Noodles, Chicken pot pie, Sausage Chili and Sausage gravy w/ eggs, home fries and biscuits. You know what?... that above average standardized comfort food can hit a sweet spot. Our food was just as anticipated. Predictable comfort food promptly served. No quibs. Bob Evans is usually a good bet. Tonight, this one failed. Party of 9 plus a baby. In town for a funeral, so maybe this was just a bad night. Young inexperienced waitstaff was OK. 5 out of 9 orders were messed up by the kitchen. They were out of banana bread and carrots. The grilled chicken was raw in the middle. The wildfire chicken salad was maybe 1 or 2 ounces of chicken on a bowl of iceberg lettuce. The advertised corn, tomatoes, tortillas, and red onion were very scant. The bean soup was extremely salty. Wow, I didn't realize how hard a salad would be to make. I love the wild fire ranch chicken salad and this is third time I have gotten home with my order and Bob Evans has failed to give me what I ordered. First time it could happen, the second time I was really frustrated, and after today I for sure won't order from Bob Evans again. The correct salad I ordered included corn, scallions, cheddar cheese, tortilla strips as well as bbq chicken. The only thing my salad had correct was lettuce. Seriously, this is absolutely pathetic. How is a salad so incredibly hard to get right? If they are messing up a simple salad I can only imagine how screwed up the rest of their orders are. What a waste of restaurant space. I remember my first experience with this place. Me and my mom were going there. I had chosen this place. I ordered some random stuff from the menu and mom ordered some random stuff as well. And my GOD, it was insanity. They kept screwing up our order, and what was supposed 15 minutes was soon an hour. And when our order came, it tasted HORRID. It was Gordon Ramsey's worst nightmare. I took 3 bites and i felt sick. Went to bathroom cause i felt like i had to throw up. I did, and not because the food, but because the state of the bathroom. Some guy had explosive diarrhea and didn't flush. It had appeared a 4 yr old had smeared his sh*t all over the walls. i ran out and went outside and hurled into a vent. That was around 2016 or 2017. Now we got to 2018. Me and my mom and my grandma. This time it was better. The order was right on time, the food tasted great, and the bathroom was currently being cleaned. It appeared that they got new management as the old manger from before was a lazy-a** f***er. All in all, it was great the second time, and horrid the first. We usually love this Bob Evans but tonight was terrible. Iced tea was old. Had to ask for silverware. Items made with peaches are the special this time. We asked if they were fresh peaches or canned. She assured us they were fresh. My husband wanted the special salad with peaches and was informed they had no grilled chicken only fried. It was 6:30 at night. My husband ordered meatloaf which arrived warm not hot. I ordered the peach brioche. When it arrived the peaches were canned. The syrup glaze was cold. I ordered a side of bacon.
