I've been to The Red Bridge Bistro three times now, and every single visit has been outstanding. The service is always exceptional, the food is consistently delicious, and the cocktails are some of the best around. On my most recent visit, I sat at the bar with a few friends, and Alex and Zach absolutely made the experience. They were attentive, welcoming, and struck the perfect balance between genuine conversation and excellent hospitality. I wasn't sure what I wanted to drink, so Alex recommended the Lavender 75, and I'm so glad he did. It was light, refreshing, perfectly floral, and paired beautifully with dinner. Throughout the evening, both Alex and Zach were constantly checking in, making sure my drink was full and that we had everything we needed. Their service alone is enough to make me come back. As for the food, I order the Pot Roast Sliders every single time because I truly think they're one of the best dishes in Cicero. They're packed with flavor, incredibly tender, and the portions are generous enough that I always have leftovers to take home. This visit I customized my meal by skipping the bun and adding mashed potatoes instead, and wow...it was absolutely incredible. The Red Bridge Bistro has become one of my favorite restaurants. PARKING: 5/5 A lot of free street parking, which we used, as well as it appeared that parking lots were available to the south and west of the building as well as across the street. SERVICE: 5/5 We made a reservation, but arrived early and were still seated promptly. Kristi and the other food runners were awesome at tending to us, answering our questions, and very personable. AMBIANCE: 4/5 The space tends to the darker side with a tall divider wall separating a dining space from the decently-sized bar area that also includes booths and tables for dining. They also have a large patio space to the west of the building, where they have a trailer serving beverages and live music available. Only real negative was the the door to the patio space was right next to our booth in the northwest corner of the bar area, which allowed a brisk breeze in each time it was opened. FOOD: 4/5 The Bavarian Pretzel ($13) is large and decent. It's served on an upright pretzel holder, heavily salted, and served with a beer cheese that seemed a tad runny and a spicy maple mustard that seemed more sweet than spicy. My wife ordered Blackened Fish Tacos ($17), which come as an order of 2 with cabbage and onion and a side of chips and salsa. She said the tacos were very tasty, the chips and salsa were just OK. I ordered the Blackened Fish Sandwich ($17), which was served on a hoagie-type roll with lettuce, tomato, and onions along with a pickle and side of house-made chips. The fish sandwich had good flavor, and while I appreciated that they made their chips, their flavor was just OK and I couldn't easily access many of the crumbs that scattered through the bottom of the basket. OVERALL: 4/5 Food was good to very good. For the prices charged, the value was not as good as we would have liked. *They do appear to have a happy hour Tuesday-Friday 4:00-6:00 that offers half price on the wings and pretzel as well as some beverage specials. read more

Discovered Red Bridge Bistro in Cicero, Indiana this week. Enjoyed it so much came back again--twice in one week! Red Bridge is located at the corner of Byron and Jackson Street in old Cicero in a remodeled red brick building. The accessible entrance is on Byron. There is some street parking on both streets and a dedicated parking lot in back. The restaurant is on one level with ample space to walk and access seating. The space is tastefully and minimally decorated with booths, high and low tables, and a large welcoming bar. The bar features some THC drinks, beers, mix cocktails, and had a selection of bourbons. We were welcomed by hosts and servers. Tonight was fried deviled eggs that were lightly breaded (panko?) and piped with creamy deviled yokes. We haven't tried everything obviously but the stars, for us, are the burgers. The burgers appear to be about 1/3 lb and made with ground brisket, ground short rib, and ground sirloin well seasoned and cooked to order. Seriously, best grilled burgers we've tasted in many years. NOTE-there is a vegetarian burger option on the menu called The Innocent Burger. The house made chips were crispy and pleasantly seasoned. Too full, we opted to take home the bread pudding. (Will let you know how it travels.) Service was welcoming and efficient. Entree prices start around $15 and go up to include higher end steaks and such. Local businesses are a favorite. Had a great experience! I ordered the sliders which were wonderful. I also enjoyed a happy hour cider which was a great deal. I subbed a side of mushrooms for the chips and they were so good!!! Of the four of us in our dining party, three of us went for the breaded pork tenderloin. It's fine; not my favorite breading. The breading is more of a corn meal texture than flour, which makes it crunchy but tears up your mouth. I prefer a flour and saltines crust. As a reprieve, it's a tenderloin and not fritter which is my preference. The exterior is plenty crunchy with a dryer inside. The potato medley was good. If I went back, I would skip this. It didn't seem like it was worth the next $3. Our server was very attentive. They have full bar, where we were seated. It was very loud in the bar. Oof. Hard to talk. The Sun King Wee Mac was on the menu but swapped out for Osiris which was a personal disappointment. We will be back to try something different from the menu. read more

So excited to have finally tried this new spot in Cicero. First of all; Great job on decorating the place. Classy but comfortable. Definitely like the vibe. Service is super friendly and attentive. Great suggestions and just the right amount of attention. We started w a pretzel and I have to say it was good and even better w the cheese and mustard dip. I had the tenderloin and it was very good. Crispy and fresh. I opted for the potato medley for my side and it's a fun combo of various tots and fries. We also tried the chicken bbq flatbread which was full of flavor and had lots of cheese. My hubby and I got a last minute reservation for a Saturday night out! We made the trip to Cicero from Carmel to check out Red Bridge! Started with the Maple Smoked Old Fashioned--very yummy, a little sweet as expected but I enjoyed it. We also had the pretzel. OMG-delicious. The mustard sauce was my fav. I had the pot roast sliders. Again, so yummy. Hubby had the fish n chips. Light breading, very fresh. The tartar sauce was smooth and tasty. Cole slaw was crunchy and not over sauced. The potato medley was a nice alternative to plain "chips". We then had the triple chocolate cake for dessert. It was very chocolatey but a nice cap to a wonderful meal. If I could give 20 stars, I would! Our first experience here was amazing from arrival to departure with leftovers and a few extra carryout items because we wanted to try even more items on the menu! We sat ourselves at the beautiful bar area where we dined in comfy, cushy leather barstools and watched the IU game on the big screens. Our server, Kaleigh, was an absolute delight -- so friendly and provided wonderful recommendations. She deserves 100 stars! While we dined in, we enjoyed the fried deviled eggs, jumbo shrimp cocktail, pot roast sliders with potato medley, prosciutto chicken served with mashed potatoes and asparagus, mac & cheese side, and an expresso martini. I seriously cannot remember the last time I had such moist and flavorful chicken. The pot roast sliders are a definite yes for me as well as their au jus, which I'm very picky about. I love that you can upgrade your side for burgers and handhelds from house chips to a potato medley that includes tots and fries (reg, sweet & waffle) dusted in magical deliciousness; the $3 upcharge was completely worth it. To take home, we ordered the Hoosier tenderloin, the corn chowder and the triple chocolate cake. As I write this, my mouth is watering thinking about that yummy cake! This isn't going to be much of a review since we didn't actually consume anything here. The place looked great from the outside on Friday night. They had a big 9utdoor patio with a cool shipping container that they had converted into a bar. The inside looked clean and modern. We walked up to the host stand and were seated right away at a table in the indoor bar area and given menus. There were servers and bartenders zipping around. The food looked good (the giant pretzel really caught our eye as it zoomed past us to a table in the dining area. But then nothing. Nobody came 5o our table for almost 10 minutes. A bartender took the order for the table right next to us but didn't come to our table. She 2ent straight back to the bar and started making cocktails for the table she just took an order from. So we left. (I get the feeling this is a townie bar as it definitely seemed like the bartenders/servers knew most of the patrons.) read more

This was our first time here and it will not be our last. The service was great. We had at least 4 different people stop by and check to make sure everything was good. The ambiance was very laid back. Like could be a good date night spot or a family dinner out. My wife had the pot roast sliders and said they were fantastic. I had the breakfast burger and it was also delicious. And the kids cheeseburger is a full sized cheeseburger so your kid shouldn't have to be sneaking food off your plate! Really great experience! This is a new place that opened a couple of months ago, the remodeled interior is nicely done. The Corn Chowder and the Tomato Soup were very good. I went with Pan Halibut with the Asparagus and the Medley Roasted potato's. The Halibut was excellent, asparagus was prepared perfectly with the roasted potato's crispy on the outside soft on the inside. The wife went with the breaded tenderloin. It was served with house made potato chips. It comes with grilled onions, pickle spear, tomato, shredded lettuce and a homemade sauce all on the side. Third time here, first two times I'd give a 4-5 but not this time. Do not order meatloaf. Dense, dry, flavorless (also came out like warm). Brussel sprouts side were good. Whipped potatoes okay, had to add salt and pepper for better flavor. Service at bar sub par this time. Wasn't checked on one time after got food. Sat for over 10 minutes after we were done eating before someone asked if I wanted a box. To be fair to this place, I didn't leave a good review the first time I was here which was very good. Ate here last night for date night with another couple. We all loved it. Atmosphere is fantastic with live plants and brick walls. Wear your running shoes and eat fast! Make sure to skip all the talking so you can get out on time! If you want to enjoy a nice Friday out with some friends make sure you can get everything in 90 minutes. There are apparently time limits on tables. We arrived around 5:30 Friday evening the hostess asked how many and if we had a reservation. We stated no, we didn't know you took them. She said well can you be done by 6:45? We all looked at our watches and kind of laughed, then another lady at the hostess stand said you can't say that, you'll have another table free for the 7pm reservation. As she's speaking I was looking around and even went over to the bar to check that side out, there were multiple tables open while 3 had reserved signs on them. On my way back to the host stand, the hostess was seating our party of 4 in a booth on the bar side. Waitress comes over takes our drink order, we order a couple appetizers and enjoy our beverages from the bar. We order our entrees and enjoy another beverage while catching up with friends. We are in the midst of eating and multiple ppl come over and ask if they can take anything away yet.. no we are still eating... we are finally finished with our meals offered dessert and we declined. Then a gentleman comes over and asks us to leave because they have a reservation that needs our table... we all look at each other confused. We weren't finished with our bar drinks yet and he stated we were WARNED we only had so much time. This is the most bizarre thing I've ever! Why are you making paying customers who have spent over $200 for dinner leave? We clearly weren't done and would have ordered more had we not been told to go. He stated again we were WARNED and told at the door that we only had until 6:45. I said no that was not the conversation that took place. He stated they have reservations every 90 minutes, so if you want to stay longer than too bad you will be asked to leave. He kept apologizing for making us go and said he was trying to make it up to us by buying a round of beer... no there is no making this up.. you don't treat customers that way. This should have never happened in the first place. If you don't have tables don't seat people and if you only take reservations then let people know when they walk in and if you are holding tables for a reservation for 7pm at 5:30pm then tell your customers there is a wait or a different time they can be sat. DO NOT ASK THEM TO LEAVE WHEN THEY ARE ENJOYING THEIR DINNER! Poor management and poor customer service. read more

Buckle Up! Your meal has a time limit, so eat and get the F outta here! This was ridiculous! We arrived at RBB around 5:30 w/ no reservation. Upon arrival, multiple seats were available and open. The young ladies at the hostess desk asked us "Can you be done by 6:30p?". And we laughed, and asked "Do what?". They replied that they have someone who has reservations and we'd need to be done by 6:30p. A more mature female employee overheard this and told us we had nothing to worry about and told us to take our time. We didn't think any more of it and proceeded with our evening. We oredered appetizers, then after appetizers, our orders were taken for our main course as if we weren't being rushed. After we finished our meals and continued to buy beverages we were even asked if we wanted dessert. We declined dessert and were swiftly approached by an older male manager who stated, " Im sorry to rush you guys, but we have people who have a reservation ahead of you and we need this table." We were shocked to say the least. Here we are spending hundreds of dollars at this place, but we apparently are on a time limit. We confronted the man and asked that if we are being rushed out of here we should get some sort of compensation. Had we known this is what was going to happen we would've went somewhere else all together. He then stated, "Well you guys were warned by the hostesses when you arrived that we had people with a reservation." Then just tell us you can't seat us rather than rush us and put us on a time limit to where you basically tell us after our meal to Get Lost! He comped myself and a friend for 2 beers (1 each)...not even close to making up for ruining our evening. He also wanted to argue with us that we have had well over an hour to eat. Again, I had no idea there were now time limits on an evening out to dinner! Our waitress however, did her job and we compensated her appropriately. I will never spend another dollar at this place, and I encourage all of you to never visit this place or spend your hard earned money here. So disappointing and insulting! read more

We had lunch here and loved it! Downtown Cicero is really cute. We had the soft pretzel as an appetizer. The mustard and cheese sauces were amazing. We then had the nachos and the Caeser salad with salmon. The nachos were unique - with each chip individually covered with toppings so each bite was delicious. The salad was fantastic and the salmon cooked and seasoned perfectly. The restaurant was lovely - clean and nice but not overly fancy. You can probably wear just about anything and fit in here. I can't wait to come back and sit at the bar and the patio - both look very nice. They have mocktails and cocktails I want to try as well. What a great addition to this growing area! The patio seating wasn't open when we visited but that's going to be a game changer in good weather. No matter...the inside was very tastefully done, service outstanding, and food was amazing considering the reasonable prices. The West Coast Burger might have been the best burger I've had. Do yourself a favor and get the potato medley as a side. My wife had one of the salads with salmon on it....wow.
