We took our Acura for an oil change and received a free tire rotation as well and they cleaned the outside of the car.

When we got there, no one came out to check up on us and ask if we needed anything, so we went inside. When we got inside we asked about a car, the lady said she'd look, but five minutes later, she comes backs and asks what car we wanted again. We waited again, but we could just see her sitting down inside doing nothing. The customer service was horrible. read more

This service department has been nothing but frustration. For a month, I was told they would accept my insurance approval for a windshield replacement. After calling, emailing, driving to the dealership, and doing exactly what I was instructed, they suddenly changed their story and refused it. I received inconsistent estimates, no returned calls, and even a condescending comment asking if "money was the issue." My brake concerns have also been brushed off without real diagnosis. The communication, professionalism, and customer care have been severely lacking. I would not recommend this dealership based on my experience. Seth the service manager is the one who made the unnecessary comment and then told me to give him "grace"... I've given grace for a month and your comment was passive aggressive and provocative. Hello future BH Acura customers, I experienced a bait and switch scenario with Bob Howard Acura last month and I feel I must alert future BH customers. The parchment interior I requested didn't exist because the Car Gurus description didn't sync with their actual stock. BTW...Bob Howard still shows the same SH-AWD MDX I was trying to buy last month on Car Gurus as still being available??? It also shows the MDX as being on the lot for 175 days?? ? That can't be true because I tried to buy that car last month! All that said, as long as you are open to another color combination, they are great. Seriously, I saved significant cash on the MDX price and BH gave me more money for my trade in. Fortunately, the real interior color they had was my second choice color, so, I purchased the car anyway. Note: I would have bought it if they would have just told me up front. BH gave me a good cash deal and followed up with the TX registration & title transfer calls I had. That is why I gave them 2 stars. Dell, the director of sales, reinforced the longstanding theory that used car dealers are shady, unethical piranhas who will do anything to steal your money. My son just turned 18 and saved long and hard for his first car. We see a posting at Acura, and I call to speak with Dell. Dell said another customer was coming down at noon, so I left work early. Dell assured me first come first serve, so we arrived and test drove the car. We shook hands on the deal and began purchase paperwork when suddenly Dell came back stating the other people arrived to look at the car, and if we wanted the car, we needed to pay more. I wanted to walk but my son was so disappointed I agreed to pay more. Dell then comes back again and said the other buyer matched, and I had to pay more. I said no, and they refused to honor their word and refused to sell us the car. 2 other salespeople who observed the events could not believe how shady their boss was. Our 2016 Acura MDX broke down while on the way to the OU football game and we thankfully made it to the dealership. Anna Moyer in the service department went above and beyond our expectations. Not only did they look at the car since we weren't customers (buying a car from them) she was able to see what was happening and came up with a loaner car! I spoke to one of their salesman and told him that I saw the 2009 Toyota Camry on CarGurus listed at $5498 with 132,000 miles but that the same car (we compared the VIN#) was now listed on Bob Howard Acura's web site as having greater than half the miles (65,000) and nearly $3000 more in price. The sales guy asked me to email the Sales Director and I did. However, instead of addressing my concerns they promptly updated CarGurus with the lower miles and higher price. He finally wrote me back stating that the only thing they could do was go by the miles that were actually displayed in the car. I told him that I didn't believe that was correct... especially since they first listed the car as having 132,000 miles. I inquired as to if they were fully aware that the car had greater than 65,000 miles on it? I told him that if they were fully aware that he car had more than 65,000 miles on it , then in my opinion, they were choosing to engage in false advertising. I said that at the very least, I considered it unethical and said that I expected better from a "Bob Howard" dealership. I explained that I would hate to have driven 6 hours for a car expecting 65,000 miles on it and when I got there it had more than double the mileage and was $3000 higher. This dealership and service department makes it challenging to feel like even a semi luxury car owner. They play price games with their buyers. The price will constantly fluctuate and is never what is indicated online. We ended up buying 2 Acuras out of state and 1 at an Audi in town. The service department is comparable to a low end dealership. Besides an unappealing small waiting area with tea color coffee, customer service from the moment you call to pickup time lacks and professionalism as employees argue in front of clients over minor details making it uncomfortable to check out. When calling in for appointments, sometimes it goes through to this local acura but mostly connects to a call center, both with less than helpful condescending service agents who try really hard not to be helpful. We were told the call center picks up because the local advisor won't. We have tried to bring in certified vehicles and warranty extension repairs as notified through mail but the service advisors try not to honor them and act as if a National Acura notice is not their business. The suvs we own have glitchy computer systems and not the smoothest rides at times to the point where it feels dangerous as it hesitates before accelerating. I have considered taking it in to get evaluated but after my last oil change maintenance appointment where they didn't even complete the taks of rotating tires or wash the car as listed on the package we paid for. This place is not customer friendly and will cut corners. I will never own another Acura after the experiences encountered at this Edmond location. read more

On 11-21-23 my wife and I went to Bob Howard Acura to look at a used car. We ended up purchasing a 2013 Acura TL-SH AWD with approx 82k miles. Our sales rep was Timmy who was nice. When the purchase agreement came out we noticed a $1500 charge for ceramic coat, tint and interior protectant. It was at this time that we were informed that even though they weren't installed yet, every car gets those items and thus it was not negotiable. Absolutely not negotiable, if we wanted the car we were going to have to buy that package. About 4 weeks later I make my first trip to TAG. It is at this time the TAG office sees that the paperwork is missing something from my name. The suffix, I'm the III in the line of my family name and is part of my legal name. Drivers license, birth certificate and social security card all contain the III on them. Without the distinction of III its not legally me. The very nice lady at the office says we need to contact the dealership and have them send us a same name change form notarized and we can get this fixed. I contact Bob Howard Acura (Greg in F&I) and he informs me they will contact the lender and get it to us. This process takes 3 weeks to complete. We get the form from the dealership and it is at this time I ask them if they are going to pay the late fees because the registration is now expired. This is when they inform me that I should have caught the mistake when I bought the car. They admit they should have caught it but put it back on me that I should have been the failsafe against these type of errors. I won't go into how insane this is but I'm sure most reading this will agree with me that this is insane. I don't buy cars everyday, these people sell cars everyday. Anyways they inform me that they won't do anything to compensate me. Not a free oil change, a car wash, a bumper sticker, a fresh scented tree to hang from my mirror, nothing. So I proceed to bring this up to the sales manager, pretty much same response. Sorry we missed it but you should have caught it. I did reach out and left 3 messages for the manager Ray or Roy to speak to us but apparently since we only bought a used car he didn't have the time to call us back. On my next day off I proceed to the TAG office and end up paying an extra $33.00 in late fees. During this time about every other day I would have to stop and put air in the tires of at least 2 to sometimes 3 tires.I ended up taking the car to one tire shop who told me it was a bad sensor/valve stem $65 repair. Problem still not solved after that repair. After eventually getting frustrated with putting air in tires every other day to everyday as it was getting worse. I took it to another tire shop and they took the wheels off to check the tire/wheel, balance and it was discovered that 3 of the 4 factory wheels were bent. You could see it when the wheel and tire was on the spin machine that checks for balance the wheel was not round. All this to say I will never buy another vehicle from Bob Howard anything certainly not the Acura dealer. The treatment I received after buying the car was that of a fly by night buy here pay here kind of place. They sold the car and didn't care after that. Customer service was completely lacking. I will NEVER buy a car from BOB Howard Acura, service my car at Bob Howard, or even get parts from Bob Howard Acura. Anyone who asks where or how i got the car i will tell them unfortunately Bob Howard Acura, and then i will add that unless they wish to be treated like the scum of the earth used car pond scum don't go to Bob Howard. They will in all likelihood never see me again. Now I should mention we own 2 cars the other being a newer BMW purchased from Jackie Cooper BMW. Whom we love BTW. They are just awesome. However at the time they didnt have any used cars in our price range that I would want to buy, so we didn't go there. I regret that everyday after having to deal with a subpar dealership that lacks, the caring, customer service that Jackie Cooper BMW offers its customers. The service department used to be AMAZING! We've purchased and driven Acura's from them for more than 20 years, but the service department has gone down the tubes! This last visit was unbelievable. I understand they had way too many scheduled, but then call and reschedule people so they get the proper service! When they called to say car was ready, it was about an hour later that we picked it up. And then still had to wait another 30 minutes to get the car! As we're being handed a quote for a part we need replaced, there's a 2nd line that says there's a nail in one of the tires that can't be replaced AND THEY SAY NOTHING! When we said we didn't know we had a nail, they just said "oh, forgot to tell you about that" AND THEN JUST SENT US AWAY! What?!? So, um, hopefully the tire doesn't blow or go flat?!? WORST ACURA IVE EVER BEEN TO! If your vehicle is paid off DO NOT BRING IT HERE! They will do everything in their power to destroy your vehicle just so that you purchase another vehicle from them! I've never had as many problem with my vehicle or an Acura dealer until I came here. I've also heard NUMEROUS complaints from other people that have been to Bob Howard Acura. I hate to say they are prejudice or anything because it might not only be me that's experiencing the hate. Like I say...The other people I've talked to were not black but even though they had a bad experience I don't know if it was as bad as mine. Luring and baiting at least by their 'used car' folks! I was contacted by these guys for a 2021 Volvo S60 that I have for sale. From my VIN, I was told that the price range would be $30k-$32k, subjected to 'imperfections'. Upon inspection, what are the imperfections? "It needs a tire, road rash which is when the tire rubs on the rim. And some small scratches"!!! Maybe a total of $500? I was offered in person $27k!!! Then they went "way and beyond" to offer $27.5k! REALLY? I am in financial services and lending for eons. And, I was told that 'used car prices fluctuate'! REALLY? By $5k in 2 weeks? This kind of 'luring and then try to deceive' is unprofessional for a dealership group that has multiple brands. It is not that I didn't get my car sold to them. It is the 'luring and baiting' behavior that is unprofessional and totally disgusting. I have texts to support everything that I said here. read more

I had to replace my windshield due to a crack ; it was supposed to take one day after making the appointment; I was given a loaner for the day--I returned the loaner based on what I was told at the end of the day and was told because of a scheduled conflict it would take an extra day. I returned when I was told the next day and to my surprise there was an additional $500 added to the invoice of which I had to pay to get my car. The explanation I was given was "that is your deductible that the insurance company will take out of your reimbursement; when I submitted my claim, the insurance co. reimbursed me for all on the invoice except the additional $500 added to the invoice; they reimb. all but the deductible and the added $500 . When I called the dealership, they explained that they couldn't do anything but they would let the Gen Mgr know and I would hear from him. That was two weeks ago and so far nothing has been done. I was advised to notify the Better Business Bureau, so that is my next step. The car I have is not a dissapointment but the practice in the service department SUCKS. read more

I've visited a number of dealerships in my 40 years of evaluating and buying cars and I must say this experience was one of the worst I've ever encountered. I had extensive communications with a salesperson - by email, phone, and text - before visiting the dealership about my expectations upon my arrival from Tulsa and not only were those not met or completely ignored - but the situation was worse after I arrived! First, my salesperson who assured I'd be "dealing with him" didn't even bother to show up and say, "Hey!" after two HOURS at the dealership. Not a peep. In person or even by text. Instead I was passed off to another guy - whom I actually liked - that is until it was obvious he was a victim of the dealer customer manipulation we've all grown to hate - and the reason why outfits like Carvana that bypass that noise - are thriving. It started with the $1000 for the "required" nitrogen in the tires and window tinting - every car gets them he said - which even a cursory Google search will tell you is a HUGE markup profit for dealers who do them and a total waste of customer's money. Us older folk will remember when dealers did the same with the supposed "undercoating" on new vehicles. It's all just another way to squeeze more money out of hapless, captive, in-the-moment-of-new-car-fever customers. I had come to the dealership approved for outside financing and told the original sales guy that. Zero indication that was an issue - until we sat down at the negotiating table and was told the price of the car was based on Acura financing. That's bull butter! I called my local Acura dealer and they laughed. Of COURSE outside financing was accepted! I should have got up and left then, but my hand-me-down sales guy was a nice kid so I thought I'd give him a shot with Acura financing. The first monthly payments that came back were nearly DOUBLE what I'd calculated with my own financing so we were clearly not even in the same universe. It was at that point I knew things were going further sour and suggested a break in this silliness for dinner. He went to supposedly get a business card. Five minutes later? No show. Here we go again, with the dealer psychological, waiting game, power play nonsense. I'm sure the kid was being coached what the next tactical move was to attempt to seal the deal. So I left. As I pulled away somebody - I suspect it was the sales manager - tried to beckon me back. Or maybe it was my original salesman that disappeared for two hours. Sorry. Not interested now. I'm outta here! What a huge waste of time. Except for the test drive. Funny thing is I LOVED the car and it sold itself - it was the dealer that ruined the experience! Next came the apologies by text and email - coupled with the blame game pointed my direction because I supposedly had agreed to a deal - which, of course, was nonsense before knowing all the TERMS of the deal! If you are up for paying for things you don't need on the vehicle, no room for movement on the price of the car, and the financing smoke and mirrors? Then this is your dealership. Otherwise? I suggest you go elsewhere. read more

BEWARE! Putting a deposit on a vehicle does not guarantee that the vehicle will be yours. I learned this the hard way at Bob Howard Acura in OKC. I put a deposit down on a vehicle and when it came in, it was sold out from under me. The sales staff and management has no integrity at all. The exhibited very unethical behavior and were not the least bit apologetic. It's unfortunate that they are one of the few Acura dealerships in the area. I would expect better treatment of customers from a luxury brand. Sure didn't happen with Bob Howard. I wonder if all their dealerships operate unethically? read more

I have never been more disappointed in your dealership than I was today. I had an appointment for service at 1:30pm, and advised that I would wait. When I arrived I was told that my wait would be 3-3.5 hrs. What? Why? I have an appointment. Well, due to walk ins, I would have to wait. IYour service managere said the same thing with a smile on his face after I complained that I HAD AN APPOINTMENT! I drove 25 minutes to get there only to be told I have a 3.5 hr wait. Thanks but no thanks!!!! That's like saying you can buy a car, but you have to wait for the engine! What good is it, and why wasn't I told about this before I drove all the way over? If you're a woman taking your car in for service, make sure you ask about all your warranty information BEFORE they service your car. Twice I've had a bad experience. This time I called ahead to make sure my oil change was covered under my contract. They told me indeed it was. AFTER they changed the oil and rotated the tires they informed me my contract doesn't cover it any longer. read more

We are updating our review of Bob Howard Acura. We heard back from the gen manager, Ray, offering to attempt to rectify the situation and get our business back. We asked Ray for our original deal at 2% and that since it was Christmas time we wanted to do as much over phone or email as possible. Although we could not get 2% we did get closer, so we bought the car. No surprise, the financial salesperson we previously dealt with was no longer at Acura! However, JT was still there! and reviewed the car with us. I was very pleased! The new financial salesman, Colby, was professional and well versed, answering all our questions. I went to look at a used Honda for my daughter after finding it online. The vehicle was still there when I arrived but a gentleman was looking at it. Because I had an appointment they wouldn't let him test drive and/or buy it. I ended up driving it and purchased it for the online price. Acura Yelp review The change in staff in the service department is a long awaited change for me. I've been servicing my 2014 MDX since day one here at BH Acura/Kelly/Edmond. Trying Service advisor after service advisor you finally hired someone who LISTENED. Unfortunately he was the service manager's (Eric Collins) buddy & left when Mr Collins left. I met the new staff (Josh, Tony & Cort) yesterday & they seemed to be more focused on top notch customer service rather than just collecting a paycheck. I've gone to this dealership twice now, first time, they didn't have the 2019 RDX yet but the associate that was helping me was pretty good and knew his stuff but wasn't pushy. Talked to the manager and he was telling me that the 2019s would be coming in around Mid summer, both had my contact info and never called, finally had the chance to go back up to see the 2019 and test drove it. The associate, after being told by me that I had already talked to someone seemed a bit uninterested but still did his job, after the test drive, once again I met another manager and we started talking about color options and he told me that a silver rdx (a-spec) was arriving and they would call to let me see that...again no call. My choice is between this and a Mercedes, currently the other dealership has been wonderful compared to the follow up at this one. read more

I purchased a 2016 Acura TLX, and found the buying process to be easy and friendly. My sale rep Bradley Rector was knowledgeable about the car, and when he didn't know an answer to my question he asked for help. They didn't pressure me or use those annoying sales tactics, they treated me with respect and made me feel comfortable. The Sales Manager Patrick, wasn't pushy and was willing to work with me to make a happy customer. The negotiating was easy, not a lot of back n forth. The only issue I had and I'm ok with it, is that they went to about 6 lenders to get me the 1.99 financing, so now I have 6 hard looks which will hurt my credit score. I was ok with it since I got that really HOT financing rate! But, it will bounce back up after 2 payments. I would recommend this dealer for all future car purchases. read more

In my 30 years of purchasing cars I have never had a worse experience and I don't even have a car to show for it. It pains me to even give them 1 star but that is the only way I can leave the review. Mr. Wood will respond to this (as he does all of his negative reviews) and give the appearance that he cares and would like to rectify the situation, but let me assure you we have emailed him and left multiple voice messages for him and he does not respond. We visited the dealership on April 10, 2021 and looked at the new Acura MDX. We test drove the only one there, discussed packages and options and asked the salesman what the sticker price/ MSRP on the one we would want was. The one they had there did not have the features we wanted, so we couldn't just look at those giant stickers they put in all of the windows of new cars. The salesman (JT) went and asked his sales manager (Amir) sticker and came back and told us MSRP on them was $65,000. We ended up leaving for a while to look at one more car that I wanted to check out before making a decision. In the end we decide on the MDX and returned to the dealership. We agreed to pay FULL MSRP because cars are hard to find right now and I wanted the specific one they had arriving soon. We had them throw on a few little extra things and got a satisfactory amount for our trade in. Everything settled, we gave them $1000 to hold our car for us when it arrived and we left. Fast forward to a few hours later...I was on the Acura website admiring what I thought I had just bought and noticed they blatantly lied about the sticker price of the car. MSRP is actually $62,175. When we questioned them, they claimed that all of the dealers are marking them up this high because they are in high demand. I have contacted dealers in Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas and asked their price and not one of them has lied about MSRP. When confronted again JT told us that he mentioned the mark up several times that day and we were aware of it. I am an intelligent person as is my husband and I assure you we both have great hearing....this was never mentioned. In hindsight I should have taken 2 seconds to look it up but it was the one thing I didn't think they would lie about because they are actually stuck to the window when you buy a new car. At this point I still need to buy a car and we have been trying for 3 days to get our $1000 back, so we can move on to a dealer that treats people better. We can't get one person to return our phone call and haven't even been able to get a human voice on the phone in 2 days. So if you are in the market for a new car, run don't walk to anywhere but this dealership! read more

We purchased a 2015 TLX at Bob Howard Acura recently after finding it on TrueCar. We are from Kansas City but took a chance that the 5 hour drive, the car and the dealership would be second to none as we've found Acura dealerships to be in the past. This TLX is our third Acura and must add I still drive my 2001 Acura CL everyday with zero issues since I bought it in 2002. Taking that into consideration we thought we'd stick with the brand and upgrade our 2006 TL. Our salesman Shae Georgeson, did an excellent job as he walked us through the process of buying a car from out of state. He also made us aware of an issue with a "ground effect" piece that they needed to repair prior to releasing the car. After that was repaired Shae made the buying process go smoothly and the next day we were on our way back to Kansas City. About 2 hours into the trip the part they had repaired started to come off again. We did a temporary repair so we could make it to Kansas City. These "ground effect" items are not covered by the warranty so I was a bit concerned about being from out of state and service "after the sale". The next day I contacted Shae who got with his sales manager Steve McKinzey regarding the issue. As I hoped they had me take it to a local Acura dealership and covered all expenses. Thank you to Steve and Shae for their "after the sale" customer service...even when you're from 5 hours away. We love our new TLX! Beautiful car! read more
