Usually smaller planes and higher fees, but worth the convenience!! Just one restaurant next to the terminal and nothing once you go thru security. Usually have to walk out to the runway and it lets you off on the runway when you land.

Shout-out to Andrew, who came out and greeted us warmly, informed us of the transient parking location (in front of the FBO, west of the fuel pump). We chatted for a while, explored the airport and came across the free bike area. We are planning a trip back soon to take advantage of the bikes to enjoy a day down by the beach. A beautiful airport, well kept and friendly staff - which can be hard to find these days. Can't wait to come back!

Mohamoud was an excellent driver - he was punctual, promptly reached out to me when I landed and very polite when he picked me up. He was a safe driver and the ride was smooth and plesant. I work in New York City and travel back and forth to San Diego and have used many shutle/sedan companies over the last few years; he was one of the best drivers I have had. (I suppose trains like this stay this clean and pristine because San Diego hasn't got Chicago's awful weather). I took the Coaster to Old Town to meet a friend for dinner before I went to the airport on my way out of town. Service operates primarily during weekday peak periods, but there is also limited weekday midday, Friday evening, and Saturday service. Special evening service is provided when the San Diego Padres play Monday-Thursday evening home games. The only thing that bugged me is there was no one to collect the ticket I bought at the station before boarding. This was 100% honor system, and I suspect it's widely abused to the disadvantage of the transit authority, but maybe they save more money than they lose this way by not employing conductors.

This railroad station in Downtown Carlsbad serves the Coaster computer rail line between Oceanside…read moreand Downtown San Diego. It has a single side platform for the single set of tracks that go through Carlsbad. Overall, I think this is a very nice station. North County Transit District buses also stop here, most importantly in my book, Route 101 that runs on Historic 101 between Oceanside and UTC in La Jolla. There are over 400 parking spaces at the station, which is a short walk to restaurants, coffee shops, retail shops, and more. The Carlsbad Village station is not the historic Carlsbad station that was used by Santa Fe Railroad until 1960. That station still stands about 1/10th of a mile south.
