The Business class seat was amply sized and had a good amount of leg room. There were also easy to access electrical outlets next to my window seat. While I don't love sitting backwards, I did like the view from the big window. The seat next to mine was also empty, so I had plenty of space. Lots of cool ocean and town views from the right side of the train! The included snack amenities included OJ, bottled water, coffee/tea & danishes. While the conductor indicated that snack boxes would be delivered at noon, no such boxes ever made an appearance. The bathroom was okay, but nothing spectacular. Overall, the ride was efficient and pleasant, and it was much better than sitting in traffic for hours and dealing with driving hassles or flying up. Peace.

We traveled up the coast and while the seats going up weren't quite as nice as the ones on the way back, the overall experience was still so good. Way more relaxing than flying--comfortable seats, no airport chaos, and actual room to breathe. My little one was completely obsessed with the window views--watching the waves roll in and the beaches pass by was such a highlight. I even got some quality quiet time and managed to read a book, which never happens. Overall, such a fun, easy, and scenic experience. Highly recommend for a day trip if you want something convenient but still feels like a little adventure.

We paid $32.50 in cash for round trip tickets for 2 adults and 1 child, easily accessible via the vending machine and not too difficult to understand. The ride itself felt smooth and was a nice scenic route to see sights such as the Del Mar Racetrack and of course, the Pacific Ocean (be sure to sit on the right side for a better view). Seats were not too bad, even had rows facing sideways available and appeared clean. The train passengers seemed nice and I didn't feel too uneasy, it was a comfortable train ride, felt like we were coasting on the Coaster.

This rest area has a lot of potential to be really wonderful, with its amenities, a nice park like atmosphere, and an ocean view. Outside, there is a place where you can buy drinks, and there is also plenty of parking. Inside, it is quite clean for a public restroom facility. It's just a simple stop along the way, but it's comfortable enough when you need a break on the road.

Living here (with my parents :] ) has been a great time. Gotta love it. The only downsides are the amount of tourists and commuters who have started using RSF as a shortcut to get to work on the weekdays and the beach on the weekend. Seriously annoying. Another is the number of old rich people. They are snobby and are horrible at driving their Bentleys. Other than that, it's tip top. I'd recommend living here if A: you have the money and B: you want to live in one of the nicest communities in America.

Quaint little downtown area with lots of huge residences and bad a** cars. If you ever get a chance to roam the hills, do so... Just be mindful of the curves, esp at night. The houses are crazy big... A friend showed me Janet Jackson's house in the hills somewhere, as I'm sure lots of celebs also have homes in this area. So jealous......
