They had so many cute, comfy, and surprisingly affordable pieces that I'm pretty sure I'll be going back to actually purchase soon. The workers were welcoming and helpful right when you walk in, which made the whole experience feel easy and relaxed instead of overwhelming. Also loved the little extras like the free snacks, and the two floors full of setups honestly make you want to move right in. Great experience, with really helpful employees and surprisingly affordable couches. We went in for a new couch, and were helped by Garfield, who I really appreciated showing us the used models before anything more expensive. He helped us move around the sectionals, experiment with pulling out the sleeper sofas, and rearrange the recliners. We didn't feel at all pushed into something we didn't want -- when we were on the fence about buying a bed there as well, he didn't push back against us deciding against it, and he didn't try to nudge us toward the more expensive electronic recliner. Garfield was transparent about explaining stuff like the financing and the limits on the warranty. We asked lots of cat-related questions (why I remembered his name, since he joked about it being a cat name) and he either gave us clear info, or freely acknowledged when he wasn't sure about something. The couch itself is working out great: it's comfortable, sturdy, and fits nicely in our space. Delivery was painless, occurring exactly when promised with experts who were in and out in about 20 minutes (especially impressive given they hauled our old couch away). In 2019, that old couch cost about $1000 and was incredibly poorly made; the new couch cost us $998 all told and has already proven to be much higher-quality and also more comfortable. Terrible delivery, assembly, and removal experience. I purchased two bed frames and two accent chairs from Bob's Discount Furniture . I also paid for the removal of two old bed frames one queen size box spring and my couch and living room coffee table . Bobs hires a 3rd party company to deliver and remove furniture. The name of the company that showed up was Ryder under the Felopes Enterprise LLC c/o Maria Lopes. The movers showed up u prepared without tools, I had to provide them with tools to disassemble my old furniture that they were removing. They left one of my beds half disassembled and put my mattress on the bed as if they were done. Turns out the bed is missing screws, slats are moving and not secure, legs are not all the way connected. They also damaged my walls, scraping and scratching pain and making holes and deep lines in my wall as they removed items. I called bobs to complain and submit a claim for coverage over the damage that was done to my home and how they left my newly purchased furniture disassembled. It's been weeks and I have had no luck with an answer or support. I had to pay someone to fix my walls and the 3rd party company Felopes Enterprise LLC c/o Maria Lopes // refuses to cover the cost. The people that delivered the furniture and were removing my furniture work for this third party company and during the removal they got stuck in one of my staircases with a large item that they were removing and actually called their supervisor to let them know that they got stuck in the staircase or in the hallway and when they got stuck it damaged the ceiling the walls and this woman came over to inspect the damage and then said that there was no evidence that it was her moving team that did this unbelievable do not work with this company and do not purchase from Bob's they will not hold themselves accountable nor will they assist when there are problems with delivery or furniture assembly . read more

Do not buy! Back pain from brand new furniture! tl;dr I bought the Bob's Renegade power recliner and double power recliner loveseat. When in the fully reclined position, there is a huge gap between the cushions where your lower back sinks through. I now have back pain I didn't have before. Despite contacting them within two days of delivery, Bob's refuses to give a full refund. If you are thinking of buying from Bob's, please read my full experience below. I hope it convinces you to shop elsewhere. I purchased two pieces from Bob's Renegade line and they were delivered Thursday November 21st. I sat on it that night with only the foot part reclined and it felt comfortable. I had also been to the store a few weeks prior to try it out. Friday night I sat on it for several hours and noticed that there was a huge gap between the cushions in the fully reclined position. I reached behind myself and could feel my lower back sagging with no support. The gap was so large I could easily fit my arm through. I do not typically have back issues, but my lower back was sore after sitting and still hurts. I feel I did my due diligence in trying out the furniture in person but would not have known to check this gap in store because I've never had this problem with a recliner before. I've had a recliner for years so I am familiar with how they come in two pieces but while my old one still supports my lower back in the reclined position, Bob's does not at all. While I understand that Bob's is advertised as discount furniture, I think that is more about how long the furniture lasts and not that it makes you actively uncomfortable. I submitted a contact form to Bob's on Saturday (two days after delivery) but had not heard anything back by Monday so I wrote to their text help line. Their initial response was "As you check in our return policy, we are not able to proceed with a return for refund on merchandise already accepted. I really apologize. I wish I could help you with your request, but unfortunately the system won't allow me to proceed. In this case, what I can do is set up a replacement for the sofa and the chair." I declined the replacement because this is clearly an issue with how the furniture is built. Bob's responded "In this case, we would like to offer you the option to proceed with a reselection process. You can visit our store to select a new item of the same price as your original purchase. If the new item is less expensive, you will receive store credit for the difference; if it's more, you will need to pay the difference." I declined this as well because the furniture is poorly designed and I am not interested in any other items from Bob's. I was clear that I simply wanted a full refund. I contacted Bob's first before writing this review to give them a fair chance to make things right but they said "I totally understand you, but unfortunately, I'm not able to work against Bob's policy." Bob's could easily refund me and resell these like new items in their Furniture Outlet and be whole. On the other hand, I am out a significant chunk of money and have a sore back on top of it. Then gave one date for delivery and it has now changed 3 times the date for delivery it's going to be almost 2 months and we still haven't received most of our furniture, they keep changing dates, after Sales person from this location promised and assured on time delivery. Most of my gripes are with their delivery service. It usually takes about a month for delivery after the purchase (understandable - limited resources, heavy stuff). Problem is that their first delivery was completely wrong couch, which we didn't realize until the guys left because of the packaging. After over an hour on the phone to reach their support (their automated system will claim that the estimated wait time is around 15 minutes, and then proceed to reduce the estimate by a minute every 5 minutes of real-world time). Originally they wanted us to wait another month to fix the problem, but after we expressed our frustration they agreed to re-deliver it today (2 weeks earlier). The couch they delivered this time is exactly what we ordered and looks beautiful, but while swapping it out for the old one they brought by mistake they left a giant half-inch-width gash in the middle of our living room floor, which will cost more than half the couch's cost to repair. read more

Bought the Laurel Arm Chair - when it was delivered the men brought the chair in and screwed the legs on once it was in the room. Trying to move it to a new space and I cannot remove the legs with any size or type of tool I own - see picture below for the case I have. Used all different screws and nothing works. Called the store and customer service and was told it was a standard screw that would easily come out. It is not - the screw is so far in the chair that it's hard to reach and when you can it has perfectly square head that doesn't come in a standard tool kit. Was not offered any solutions or help from the customer service team so I now have a chair stuck in a spot and still need to move it. Why would you install legs on a chair that need to be removed in order to fit through doorways with tools that aren't easily accessible. So disappointed, will never shop at bobs again. read more

I bought a dining room set for over $2,000. I had the one year warranty. After about 9 months or so one of the arms on the arm chairs started to fall off. The screws completely fell out. This happened right at the hight of the Covid 19 outbreak. Massachusetts completely shut down and during that time my warranty expired. I was tried to file a claim now and they said that they were not extending warranties since their customer service line were still taking claims, but waiting to fill them once they had reopened. How was I supposed to know that? I assumed that Bob's was completely closed. I mean they couldn't go into anyone's home so why would their customer service line be on. Eventually, after 2 hours of waiting I had to pay $80 to pay for a tech to come out. And they tried to give me mystery prices for the cost of any parts that might be needed. I pushed them on it though and was able to get the prices. I didn't want to pay $80 just for them to say that I need new arms that cost $100. I might as well get a whole new chair. They're customer service is terrible. I had to call 4 different times each call 1hr or longer to get someone to help me. And their warranty is a total scam. During a pandemic they should be extending them or freezing them or something. I've bought a lot of furniture from them over the years, but I won't be purchasing anything from them in the future. I have been attempting to get a hold of Bobs Customer Care team for the past 7 days. Each time I call I request a call Back which has never happened. My order was canceled on 29 April 2020 and my refund has still have not been applied to my account. The Customer Service here is a 1 Star at best. I understand the situation is fluid, however during this time they should be understanding as well and if a refund is not credited that is a sign they don't care. I would suggest going to Macy's to buy furniture, At least you can speak to Someone if you need help with with a piece of furniture or a refund. read more

We purchased two couches in early August totaling about 2600$. We knew that COVID was going to delay things and were OK with that - we didn't NEED the couches immediately and they were upfront about it. We were supposed to receive COUCH-1 in mid-September, and COUCH-2 in mid-October. September comes and goes with no update - via phone or email. I contact Customer Service in early October to get an update. They were running their old chat system then so it took over an hour and a half to talk to someone, which is actually longer than the browser timeout. So it took about 5 hours to talk to someone - the chat queue would reset every time the browser timed out. This was not a good start. After, finally, getting someone to talk to, we were informed that it would be over a month until we received either of our couches. COUCH-1 would arrive in early November, COUCH-2 more around Thanksgiving. We were, understandably, frustrated. Not only because it took SO LONG to actually get in contact with a person, but also because they weren't upfront with us when the delivery dates changed. Not trusting that this wouldn't happen again, I chatted in three weeks later to confirm that those dates were still the same. They were not. Now COUCH-1 would come in mid-November and COUCH-2 in early December. Again, we hadn't received any communication from them with an update until I asked directly. At this point I chatted in every week. And every week the dates for COUCH-2 were pushed back with no communication from Bob's outside of communication instigated by me. We received COUCH-1 in mid-November (right before I went in for major surgery) and were told we would be able to receive all of our couch December 22nd or later. However, they don't schedule deliveries that far out so they couldn't save our spot. I had to chat back (again, they didn't contact us) in closer to the delivery window, which I did from the ICU. Starting in December they installed their new chat bot, which definitely works much better, though there is no time estimate or queue position reference. I also started receiving text and email updates that were a nice change of pace but far too late to recover the trust that was broken. I was informed in mid-December that one of our couch pieces was going to be available on the 27th of December instead of the 22nd. We were bummed but ultimately just glad we were told. We kept our initial delivery on the 22nd, with a second delivery on the 27th. We were looking forward to having our couch for Christmas. Of course a few days before the 22nd we received a good bit of snow, which was a surprise for December but not out of the ordinary for New England. The streets had big snow banks but were clear within 12 hours. We throw out one of our two crappy couches on the morning of the 22nd with the plan to throw out the second after we actually receive the new couch. We didn't actually trust we would get it, which was, of course, the case. The delivery people came in a smaller truck than the first time and circled the block six times. Apparently there was "too much snow" in front of the house for them to feel comfortable double parking. We live in a house on a corner and the cross street had plenty of room to park the truck - however, apparently that extra 10 feet was "too far" for them to carry the couch pieces (or use a furniture dolly?). I argued with the dispatcher, she said she would see what she can do. They ended up just driving away and I didn't hear back from the dispatcher. I called into Customer Service and got in contact with a wonderful woman who actually wrote the dispatcher up on my behalf and rescheduled everything for the 27th. Apparently this was not the first time this had happened. We did not have our couch for Christmas. The delivery on the 22nd thankfully went pretty flawlessly. They parked around the corner (further than we actually suggested the first time around) and were in an out in 20 minutes. They didn't hook up one of the pieces of the couch correctly, but that's fine. We fixed it. I chatted back in to follow up on the refund we were promised on the 3rd or 4th? conversation we had with Customer Service. They offered me a 75$ gift card, which is less than 3% of what I spent. I told them straight up that I wanted that money directly applied to our finance account because we were NEVER purchasing from them again - after some back and forth they did end up agreeing. The whole experience was a nightmare and we will never purchase or recommend anyone purchase anything from Bob's Furniture. read more

8/23 I walked into Bob's in Dedham, MA late afternoon on Friday with 2 family members and was greeted immediately with a smile and introduction. The sales person informed me that he would be there to help if I had any questions. He did not harass or follow me around which was marvelous! I was looking for a livingroom set and ended up in the outlet showroom. I was welcomed there as well by Ishmael B. He was pleasant and open to my cousins' and my playful banter while answering our questions. It was during this time that another sales guy, Tony D jumped into the banter and was able to further share details regarding the set that I was interested in. OMG! Tony was AMAZING, also super duper funny, personable, and a great listener. He was able to determine my needs and was very credible. I would have purchased furniture that I did not need from him, and almost did exactly that! Come to find out, Tony was training Ishmael who was brand new! What TERRIFIC TEAMWORK! I'm a business owner and would kill to get Tony onboard! Needless to say, I purchased my deep red new sectional and ottoman chest bench AND I tried to poach both of them and gave my BUSINESS INFO since I did not have my cards on me :))) I'm doing some remodeling in my home so I'll be back (in my best Terminator voice) to get this modern/contemporary dining set that he showed me! I'm IMPRESSED to the max! 10 STARS! Okay so I just read all the poor reviews. I'm nervous and wondering, did I make an informed decision or did I get lost in the sauce of my salesperson?!? The red color looked amazing but almost right away noticed a couple of cuts in the bench fabric so they took a picture to send to "the boss" from my phone, which is how I got the number, haha! Well the joke was somewhat on me cuz they informed me that they could return a week later on Wednesday to replace it but I needed it for a cocktail party on the upcoming Saturday. The drivers left and the more I thought about it, I figured that I should examine the sofa and chaise in the sectional as well. Glad I did cuz there were cuts everywhere in between the sectional, in the back which was against the wall and at the bottom the stitching was unfinished causing the material to poke out awkwardly. I took several pics and called the number that the drivers called to report the additional issues and no apology, Just that they'll replace the whole set. Uncool, unreliable, untrustworthy and inundated with poor reviews! Called my sales guy, Tony who I still feel is terrific, apologized profusely and stated the issue could only be resolved via customer service, but that if I wasn't satisfied with the replacement, I'd get a full refund from them and they'd take the furniture back with them. I honestly feel that my delivery should be refunded and the bench complimentary. Whatever. I'll update this on Wednesday and certainly hope they do better and are willing to comp me at least for the delivery! If I could give them less than one star I would. I ordered $4,172.88 worth of furniture. The delivery men broke a glass mirrored fireplace in my order when delivered. They dropped it off the truck. I called up so they delivered another a few weeks later. The delivery men broke the second one too! May I add that they were different men. The first guys dropped it off the truck. The second delivery men dragged it on the hot top driveway with nothing under it protecting the glass. When I got my first bill they only deducted the $1,299.00 for the fireplace. I went to the Bob's Store in Salem, N.H. and told the that I needed a refund for the delivery fee of fifty dollars ($50.00) and the tax of eighty four dollars and forty three cents ($84.43). They said that it would take one or two statements before it was applied to my account. Well now it is almost a year later and my balance is one hundred and thirty one dollars and nineteen cents ($131.19) which is due in three days. I called wells fargo and explained the situation. The woman told me to call Bob's Furniture with this issue. So I wasted more of my time in which that woman from Bob's Furniture said "no we are not refunding the money because it is almost a year later. I told her "so you think you are going to *&#@ me? I will file a complaint with the attorney general. So now I have to waste more of my time filing a complaint and writing this review. Not to mention the Luxe Sectional I purchased for $1,999.00 plus tax of $124.95 plus delivery of $259.99 totaling $2,383.93 is a real piece of crap! All the cushions where your back goes were under stuffed and sank within the first few months. You can't add more stuffing because the cushions are sewn to the back. You know the "covid syndrome" where inferior products were sold so we the working class consumer got stuck paying for. At Bob's Furniture the delivery people suck along with the customer service people. They give you the run around constantly so that you do what I did and give up until the final payment is due. You knew that day would come when you would have to once again fight for your refund. Don't waste your time shopping here. If I could give 0 stars I would. Horrible customer service both in the store and in the "Customer care" Try out Jordans ANYWHERE BUT HERE. I came into the store to purchase a couch that I was ensured would fit up the stairs "No problem" The delivery guys showed up early Friday morning to deliver the couch within 10 mins of them being there they said they couldn't get it up stairs. After putting in absolutely no effort. - I waited a week for this couch to be delivered. Still no couch. Second trip into the store I was helped by a sales rep named Kevin G who had us pick out recliners so that they would fit up the stairs. After explaining the situation he tells us the delivery guys were probably just lazy because it was Friday morning and they didn't want to struggle getting it up the stairs but it wasn't Bobs fault because they go through a private delivery service..really? Maybe get some trust worthy delivery guys? On top of all of this he was extremely rude. As I brushed my hair out of my face he judgementally told me not to touch my face because it would "cause more redness" and then shook my hand, screeched EW warm hands and whipped his hands. You kidding me buddy? Real professional. Second delivery attempt: Damaged used couch....no apologies or rushed shipping to my house. Took ANOTHER week to get a couch finally. That was three weeks later and a horrible customer service experience overall. After being told I would get my money back from an in store employee for shipping and handling I was paraded around, left on hold for 40 mins and offered a gift card because its not in the company policy to give back refunds. I'm only giving 1 star because I'm required to give a star in the first place! When trying to delivery a table, the delivery person damaged my walls and floor. I have filed a claim to get my property repaired and have been getting the run around. When I call the number for Karen Mann (the person assigned to my claim) she doesn't answer. I've left several messages and she doesn't call back. I've emailed her several times to find out how to resolve this and she won't answer any of my questions. My mother and I was looking for a sofa for my apartment and she took me to Bobs. Covid guidelines were meet and I appreciated the staff but the one who stuck out was Vincent. Luckily when my mother and aunt, who came previously before, he went out of his way to help them. His effort was nothing short as of before and made us feel proud of our purchase. I highly recommend visiting, and purchasing. The prices are great. The only reason why its not a 5 stars because my item I have to wait for almost a month, which I was aware of. My mother and I went to Bob's furniture in Woburn, MA over four weeks ago for my mother to purchase a bed. The bed that my mother chose the frame was not in stock, but the bed was so they said they would deliver the bed but the frame would be delivered a few weeks later so my mother put down a deposit of $349. The next day day my mother and I didn't like the fact of receiving the mattress and then the frame three weeks later. So my mother ask to cancel the order for the bed and have her $349 fully refunded and was told by the store salesman it will take about 3 weeks and the refund would be handled by Assistance. It's now been four weeks and my mother has not received a full refund of her $349 and their constantly giving me an excuse that Assistance will be sending my check to the store. I would Not recommend Bob's furniture to anyone, their business practices awful. read more

I'd give zero starts if I could. I ordered a sofa/chair/ottoman set over a month ago. I selected to pick it up in store. I got a call from a customer service associate trying to schedule a delivery. When I explained I had "in store pickup" she gave me a bunch of reasons of why that would actually take longer to get my couch. I relented and agreed to schedule a home delivery and I gave her my address. Since then, I've had to call Bobs two separate times because they are using an old address on file and I keep telling them they need to update the address because I live elsewhere now. As of this writing, I was told I need to have my delivery canceled and rescheduled because they keep using the wrong address. I have been on hold for half an hour after saying this is unacceptable. If they do not deliver on Wednesday because of their continuous mistakes, I will be demanding a full refund. Regardless of how this turns out, I will never shop at Bobs again and I will make sure my friends and family never shop at Bobs either. read more
