I feel betrayed by this office. This is NOT the level of professionalism I have come to expect from a corporate company with a reputation like ALLSTATE The office is efficient and surprisingly callous when it comes to increasing your premium over 300% Bob, will tell you (not very confidently either) how much corporate sucks and how stupid the laws are but how he has no choice but to enforce the rates "approved by California" and somehow he thinks that's justifies an astronomical increase. He seemed to be well versed in California Insurance law so I inquired about consumer protections and rate increase limits, and suddenly he became ignorant. Bob disappointed me with his disparaging comments about Allstate Corporate, I'll be contacting them later this month as I am too busy moving to take the time a correspondence effort like that would require me to coordinate at the moment. But stay tuned, I won't go quietly into this void. Thanks for calling me back so quickly it only took you four hours Bob, pretty impressive for an agent so useless in the overall scheme of things. For the record: Allstate corporate policies and rates are not Stupid, but how the rules can be bent to justify this sort of abuse deserve investigation. Bob Souza is not correct to implement such an outrageous price hike on any policy. Tripling a monthly payment is by far a painful and masochistic action. I hope your office, friends and community are proud of the business acumen you maintain behind closed doors. read more

The team was amazing until I need to cancel my policy after I sold my condo. When you need to cancel? Good luck! Instead of canceling my policy, I was harassed by emails and phone calls. While I was on Allstate's condo insurance policy, I asked for a quote to bundle auto insurance and I heard back within 30 minutes! I worked through several options with the team and they were patient and quick to respond to all my questions. I sold my condo a couple months ago and needed to cancel my condo insurance policy. It was impossible to get a hold of the team then. I contacted the main Allstate number and was told only my agent could cancel my policy. The Allstate customer service email said the same thing and they cc'ed Bob Souza on the email. I followed up with Bob separately to let him know AGAIN that I needed to cancel my policy. A week later I got an email from Bob: "did we miss your payment?" URGH. Just today I got calls from Allstate three times to make payment on my policy that I've been trying to cancel. After pleading my case that my agent, Bob Souza, has ignored my repeated requests to cancel, I finally got someone on the line who said he could cancel the policy for me. Hopefully this will be the last I'll hear from Allstate. read more

Insurance sucks massive schlong. I'm really fortunate to find the one agency in L.A. that doesn't fleece you for stupid things. I really dig this company. I got a daily extension for complete coverage on a rental. They pro-rated for a daily policy. When I got lazy/stupid/plain forgot and let that go into a full month's rate, they automatically billed me for the full 6 month extension. Freaked out, I was wondering about this extra cost, only to discover it was because the month had ended they threw the minimum balance to cover the full cost of the extension. Anyway, I called corporate...big mistake. One lady I spoke to sounded like my kindergarten teacher on Xanax. Equal parts patronizing and stroke victim, mostly slllllooooowww...I'm a busy (-ish) guy. This is aggravating. Another guy I was passed off to was chuckling in between sentences nervously like some crackhead. Sample: "So what's with this extra charge?" I sez. heh-heh "extra charge?" "yeah, extra charge, the minimum balance leaped by three times as much" "three times as much" heh-heh And so forth...(yeah, even I got bored of writing this. When I called my local office, I was FORTUNATELY, hooked up with Corina (hope I spelled it right). She not only cleared everything up, she followed up days later to make sure I was refunded an overpay. What a professional! She took the starch out of my collar and I've renewed confidence.
