When you walk in the front door, the case straight ahead is filled with Slavic desserts, while the one to the left features other European specialties. The left side of the building is dedicated to coffee and retail baked goods, while the right side serves as a sit-down restaurant. This is a genuine European style bakery, and there's also plenty of covered outdoor seating if you want to enjoy your order outside. I drank a medium roast Guatemalan coffee, which is known for its unique flavor profile and high quality. Apparently the Guatemalan is one of the most sought-after coffees in the world. I thoroughly enjoyed it and found it to be full-bodied with rich flavors. While I didn't get a chance to try their baked goods this time, I plan to on my next visit. Bottom line... After paying for my $8 affogato (can't put a price on good gelato) I was given the most generous portion. I will never forget watching that gorgeous lemon gelato fluff up.
