    Honey Green Milk Tea
    Rachel W.

Saw this place from the road and decided to be spontaneous and pull in. It seemed to have decent reviews and I feel the need to know about nearly every boba spot in the Atlanta area. I almost always get green milk tea anywhere I go, especially if it's the first time, to establish a baseline. It seems like all drinks are one size (large) and prices are on par. They do charge more for no ice, which I'm not a fan of, so I opted for less ice. I appreciated that the green tea flavor came through, but I do wish it was a bit sweeter. There's no option to adjust the sugar levels, but even if there was, there'd be no need to lower the sugar. I couldn't quite understand the cashier, but I believe he said they don't add additional sugar(?) Could totally be wrong, but that would make sense given how it tasted. The boba itself is solid - good texture and adds a hint of sweetness. They also offer food here! Somewhat limited indoor seating but plenty of parking. All in all, I'd be open to coming back, but for my books this is a mid-tier place.

Cute space with delicious drinks! Location and Parking Located in Dunwoody next to Tiff's Treats, parking is plentiful and free. Venue and Atmosphere The shop is very clean with plenty of natural light. There are a few tables out front, and more seating in the rear down a short hallway. I saw someone working on their laptop, however, the shop doesn't have wifi. Just something to consider. Service Service was prompt, courteous, and efficient. Food and Beverages I ordered the strawberry mojito with mango popping. It wasn't sweet enough for my taste so I asked for additional sweetness to bring it to 125%. There was no additional charge for this and it was to my liking after the added sugar. I'll just keep that in mind for next time. Verdict I'll be back!

They have a self order system, ambiance is very chill & relaxing. Great customer service! Order their fresh cut fries & it was bomb. Their Matcha boba with crème brûlée foam is a must

I ordered the Thai milk tea with boba. Boba's texture is extra chewy which I prefer. Lots of parking out front and there are plenty of tables to sit at if you wanting to chill there.

I was looking for boba near the Sandy Springs/Dunwoody area and I decided to give this place a try! Boba Bar Tea House and Eatery is located in a relatively quiet plaza and is a bit on the smaller side inside, but there are some seats available. The interior was decorated festively (just in time for Halloween) and the service was pretty quick, although it was pretty empty inside when I visited. I ordered the Lychee Rose Tea and Popcorn Chicken with Dynamite Sauce. I got my drink with 75% sweetness and it initially tasted sweet, refreshing, and cool, but with some time the drink became a bit diluted from the ice and it no longer tasted as sweet as I wanted it to taste. I would probably keep it at 100% sweetness next time. The Popcorn Chicken was really good! It was in smaller pieces which definitely made it feel like a true "snack." I wish there was a bit more five-spice powder on the chicken, but it was still good. The dynamite sauce that I ordered along with the chicken was also good; it tasted a bit like yum yum sauce. Overall, this is a decent spot to get some boba and snacks/food.

This boba shop is fantastic! We ordered a few different drinks, and we could taste that they use genuine tea. The food was good with a reasonable price. I highly recommend this place for boba lovers.

Convenient spot for decent boba in Dunwoody! There's a good amount of seating in the front and some tables towards the back. This would be a good place to study or work remotely. There is a kiosk where you can place an order or order at the register. The drinks are not too sweet so 50% is the perfect sweetness level for me. The salted cheese foam was very good!

    Oreo Matcha Latte

I got the Oreo matcha latte with 25% sugar and I thought it was perfect in terms of sweetness. I don't like when my bubble tea is too sweet. I thought it was a little too milky and not enough matcha flavor. Also I wish the bubble tea came with the iconic plastic top where you can pierce your straw through it rather than the top they use. It looks nice but it's a little disappointing because I feel like that's part of the experience. Otherwise the place is really cute!

I stumbled in here, not realizing that the previous place had closed down and that they were doing a cool Grand Opening event, so I had to give it a whirl. Boba Bar Tea House isn't a tea-only spot, as they serve various snacks and even full dishes. Most items are Asian inspired. On the tea side, I got a lychee green tea with mango jellies. The tea itself was refreshing, and the green tea flavor came out and felt natural. I really loved the jellies, they are a good shape and were juicy. On the food side of things I got the popcorn tofu and a teriyaki chicken bowl. The teriyaki chicken bowl was decent, with some room for improvement. The dish itself was very simple, sliced chicken on top of rice covered with teriyaki sauce and some broccoli. In general, the taste was good but needed something more. I'm thinking that if the chicken itself was seasoned more or more teriyaki sauce was added, it would've been even better. The popcorn tofu was the star of the visit. It was fried to perfection and the seasoning and outside crust tasted salty and delicious. It seemed to have a little five spice, giving the item some extra complexity. I think the ambiance and decor of Boba Bar is well thought out. The restaurant is bright, lively and fun. There is plenty of seating and it is very comfy. I could spend a lot of time there. All of the staff were super polite and helpful. I don't see myself coming here strictly for a boba or strictly to grab a meal. However, if I wanted some comforting Asian food and a drink at the same time, I'd make my way over to Boba Bar. I think they'll have a lot of success!

    Danielle M.

I think Boba Bar deserves a perfect 5 star rating if we're judging off the boba alone. I loved everything about our orders - many topping options, larger sizes, nice cups, and of course delicious and unique flavors! This was the first time I have ever seen anywhere have Oreo Thai tea and Oreo matcha tea. Both of them were amazing and looked aesthetically beautiful. Whenever I'm in sandy springs I'm making sure to stop here.

    Caramel Creme Brulee Milk Tea

Cute little Boba Bar Tea restaurant that's a great touch to the Dunwoody neighborhood especially on a Sunday afternoon. I appreciate that you are able to customize your tea sweetness. I ordered the crème brûlée tea with 50% sweetness and it was tasty! The price point is high as my one drink was over $8 + tip. There is a bit of a wait for the drinks to come out. Overall, I'd come here again with friends to try all the different flavors!

Boba bar is such a GEM in Dunwoody- I'm super happy a boba shop considered opening on this side of town where it's more rare to come by. Tucked away in a small plaza next to Tiff's Treats, Boba Bar is a small cafe with a very welcoming atmosphere. I had the Dirty Thai MT, which had an amazing ratio between expresso + milk tea, and even better- it wasn't too sweet at all and the boba itself was nice and chewy, not too hard at all. Additionally, because I was heading to work, I also had the popcorn tofu which came with a side of house made ponzu sauce as well as kimcheese fries- both came in two amazing portions and were made fresh to order (they were still pipping hot by the time I made it to work). Happy to see a boba shop in the Dunwoody/Sandy Springs area, highly recommended and I can't wait until my next visit.

So happy Dunwoody finally has a legit boba spot! Food and drinks r great! Just wished they opened til 10pm bc everything closes early in Dunwoody.

Parking is free and always available in the big parking lot shared by all of the businesses in Abernathy Square. No matter which employee has been at the counter taking orders and making the drinks, they've always been quick, efficient, accurate, courteous and helpful with information about the drinks. A variety of teas, lemonades and smoothies are on the menu, which is displayed on easy to read monitors on the wall behind the prep area. There are two benches to sit on in the well lit space while waiting for your order, and no tables or chairs are available, so there's no opportunity to sit and work or visit with others. While you're waiting, you can walk a few steps over into the neighboring Japanese restaurant and decide whether you want to expand your drink break into a full fledged meal. My favorite boba tea is the Bubble Milk Black Tea, with 30% sweetness and less ice. In the many times I've had boba in drinks here, the boba has always had a good consistent chew. The drinks are in firm plastic cups with snap on lids, so the little ones can accidentally (or purposely) squeeze the cups and there won't be too much damage done to your vehicle upholstery on the way home, although if they drop or throw the cup on the floor it'll most likely be game over. I was pleased. I really like how they thinly slice the pork belly too, really bringing out the seared edges & fat. I always get the poke bowls too; you may 1 flat price based on how many proteins, and practically unlimited toppings. Always fresh and made in front of you. The bubble tea: they brew the teas, you just need to ask them which ones are brewed but I've always gone with either the Taichi original or Taichi green tea or the jasmine one. I like to get zero sugar and just get boba balls which are slightly sweetened. If you're Asian, that might hit the spot for you. 25-30% sweet is also available and that's not bad too. Lastly; this store has good seating options; there's a big section in front of the registers, and there's also a more private section on the other side. To date it never seems overly crowded or populated inside (surprisingly, considering the food is so good and consistent) ....so I'm usually able to eat in peace & quiet. I really like this place and it's probably one of the places I actually go to "regularly" due to a very good intersection of healthy-food quality, price-value, and quantity.

On the other side, I'm not sure it was worth it especially with all of the absolutely incredible bubble tea spots around ATL. First red flag: they couldn't make the drink I originally wanted hot or with less sugar. I'm assuming this is due to their process, which most likely involves a whole lot of powders and pre-mixed things that aren't made in-house. There were a lot of mix-ups with the ordering process for just one drink, which I'd likely attribute to training. I begrudgingly went with the Taro milk tea. In all of the confusion with the first drink, I forgot to order it with less sugar and quite literally almost fell out from the sugar rush. To be fair, the cashier did not ask about any customizations (other than M or L) as I'm familiar with them regularly doing at bubble tea cafes. I had already left by the time I realized it, and I definitely won't make that mistake again. The taro was definitely pure powder... an unnatural, red-purple color. Unbearably sweet! Ugh. Oh, do yourself a favor and order extra boba. They said the milk teas automatically come with it, so I didn't bother to ask for more. But I could have probably counted on my hand the amount of tapioca pearls that were in that drink. I swear I'm not a person obsessed with huge portions, but it was just disgraceful and completely undermined the fact it was bubble tea! My drink was in a hot cup which isn't transparent, so I didn't know there was barely any in there until I unexpectedly ate them all on the fifth sip (of a LARGE drink, by the way). Probably won't return unless I'm desperate for a tapioca pearl fix and don't feel like driving farther. Bubble Tea is in the name people! You'd think it'd be better quality. Cute interior though. No pictures were taken for the drink unfortunately -- I was lowkey frustrated with my visit and it was too cold outside at the time. Didn't even bother.

It's a fine place to sit and chat, though I feel bad for others who want to visit because again, the parking here sucks. I got their black sesame latte float with a matcha and sakura (seasonal flavor) swirl. The sakura was sweeter than anticipated and not floral, which was a bit disappointing since I didn't like it alone or mixing with the matcha flavor. The black sesame portion was fine. I like the nuttiness of black sesame in general, and I would've loved if they used more for a stronger flavor. The flavor was subtle, and with the ice and soft serve on top, got easily diluted.

Very tight. It was probably cute when they opened but it felt a little muted/old to me.
