This is a small kiosk on the second floor. Usually it is staffed with one employee. I have come a few times and definitely think there should be 2 employees a day. One taking orders and the other making the drinks. Sometimes the wait can be very long, and sometimes the staff doesn't have the best energy which is understandable if it's only them and they have tons of orders to make. I have never had a problem with the drink itself but because it is a small kiosk they tend to run out of things a lot. I would recommend to come on a weekday but weekends try to go somewhere else because of how packed it gets. read more

Me and my girlfriend love Gong Cha so we decided to try the one here in Perimeter Mall despite the reviews. Definitely a small kiosk and it does mean they don't offer some of the special drinks or some of the food you'd usually be able to get at an actual location. We ordered a brown sugar milk tea with cold foam and a mango green tea with cold foam and both were delicious! Tasted exactly if not better than how we remember so we were happy about that. The worker was quick and nice with the order even being solo handling the kiosk. There was a line building up so just know there can be a wait sometimes but it's well worth it! Pretty good for a quick stop during your perimeter mall trip. read more

The Atmosphere: It's a small kiosk on the second floor. The Parking: It's inside the mall, so plenty of free parking. I'd suggest parking near the Urban Outfitters entrance. Was in the mall with my sister and we wanted to grab a quick drink so decided to try out the little aging Cha kiosk thing at the entrance. ***LOCATION*** In perimeter mall. Parking here is almost impossible, good luck. You do have to circle around like a shark to find a spot, but eventually you'll get one. There are plenty it's just always packed. ***ATMOSPHERE*** It's like an open stand type of setup right at the entrance of the mall. ***DRINKS*** The boba was good. I'd say like 7/10. It was nothing incredible but it was still good. I would get it again if I was in the mall, but wouldn't go out of my way to go in and get one. Gong Cha is a Taiwanese bubble tea place located inside Perimeter Mall, and I believe is the only bubble tea place around the area. The kiosk is located near Godiva, in the second floor. Gong Cha offers Milk Foam (their specialty), Milk Tea, Slushies, Tea Lattes, and Coffee. Their boba is cooked every 4 hours, and their tea is sourced from Taiwan tea estates. I have not tried their milk tea yet, I only ordered a Mango Tea with Jelly ($5) because thats what I was craving and it was pretty good. Service was okay. Give it a try. I tried the green tea Matcha yesterday while visiting in Montgomery Alabama and I thought I would do the same here but this does not taste the same here. The tea is very chalky tasting however when I went to change it to something else.... there's a big sign saying 'no refunds no exchanges" so be careful with you select to drink here. Gong Cha opened their second Georgia location inside Perimeter Mall earlier this year (spring 2019). Unlike their first location in Duluth, this location inside Perimeter Mall offers counter service only. There's no dedicated seating. This is simply a mall kiosk. You can find this shop on the second level of the mall right outside Kay Jewelers. Our experience here was better than our experience at the Duluth location. Our drinks tasted better and service was better too. Despite its much smaller size, this mall kiosk offers most of the same menu items as the larger store in Duluth. They include Gong Cha's popular drink Series such as Milk Foam, Yogurt, Milk Drink, Milk Tea, Creative Mixed, Ice Smoothie, and Brewed Tea. The only series I didn't see here that I saw in Duluth was the Coffee Series. Toppings include a nice variety of pearls (boba) and jellies as well as red bean, basil seeds, and regular and strawberry milk foam. Expect to spend $4.25 to $6.00 each for most drinks plus $0.50 to $0.75 per topping. Drink prices were about 50 cents higher per drink than what we paid in Duluth. I tried a black milk tea with black pearls ($4.25) and a milk foam oolong tea with no toppings ($4.25). The drinks were A-OK. I liked the simple black milk tea with black pearls better than the milk foam oolong tea. In addition to black pearls ($0.50), you can get white pearls, mango white pearls, and lychee pearls ($0.75 each). In the black milk tea, there was a decent balance of milk and tea flavor and the pearls were fresh, soft, and appetizingly chewy. I think they could do a better job with how the milk foam drink is served. Instead of a bubble top with straw hole (the kind of top that smoothies are typically served in), a coffee lid with hole for sipping would make more sense. That's how many competitors serve their milk foam drinks. Drinking a milk foam drink through a straw defeats the purpose of the milk foam layer. You don't taste any of it unless you lift your straw up and work around the top layer of the drink. It's not practical nor convenient. Sipping through a lid allows you to taste both the tea and foam layers with every sip. Alternatively, you can use the straw to mix the milk foam into the tea. I recommend doing that. The drink tastes much better this way, though then you lose the cool and unique look of the milk foam. They sprinkle matcha powder on top of the foam which is a nice visual touch. Service was good. The cashier was friendly. There were two employees working and our drinks were made immediately on the spot. The kitchen, complete with single-serving tea mixer, is all right there in the open. For the mall, I think this is good bubble tea and, as Gwynn N pointed out in her review, this is the best (and only) option for bubble tea in the immediate area. read more

I was craving boba while in Atlanta and of course knew Gong Cha would satisfy my cravings, but I was absolutely disappointed with the service and the product this location produced. This Gong Cha location is a makeshift booth in the mall that didn't offer any seatings. The atmosphere and presentation is not typical Gong Cha expectations in my opinion. I ordered Brown Sugar Milk Tea and had to repeat my order as the individual taking my order wasn't paying attention. When I received my drink, I noticed it was A LOT darker than what it usually is. It was more of Gong Cha's dirty brown sugar though this isn't on the menu at this location. I shook up my drink and took a sip and immediately was taken back by the taste. The boba was definitely old as it had a weird outside texture and hard on the inside. After three sips I took a lost and trashed my drink. Maybe the Gong Cha in other cities produce better, more consistent drinks compared to this location (I've been to Gong Cha in CA, NY, and TX and all have been consistent). I would definitely avoid this place and find a better boba place. read more

Had somewhat of a hard time finding this shop, because there were no clear directions of how to get to it. Nonetheless, I was determined to find it, so that I could map it out for everyone else lol Located on the second floor inside Perimeter Mall, between Godiva Chocolate and Kay Jewelers, this stand alone bubble tea shop has all your bubble tea needs! If you are on the ground level, go to the food court and head to the escalators located next to H&M. Once you are upstairs, take an immediate right and you will see Kay Jewelers. Pass the jewelry store and the stand alone shop will be located in the middle of the wing. (See attached images) I ordered a large Caramel milk tea ($5.00) with black pearl boba ($0.50) which came out to $5.88 after tax. I think I may have found my favorite bubble tea flavor! It straight up tasted like a caramel iced coffee (minus the coffee). If you didn't know it was tea, you really wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Every sip was like floating down a lazy river filled with caramel. You don't want it to end, because you're relaxed and enjoying every second of it! All of a sudden your inner tube hits what you think is a rock. You quickly look over and see it's just a scrumdiddlyumptious tapioca ball waiting to be bitten into and enjoyed as well! I am glad that there is finally a bubble tea shop inside Perimeter mall. Now you can sip on a delectably ice cold boba tea while perusing your favorite stores! It was convenient and I was craving bubble tea, so I got a lychee oolong tea with passion fruit popping boba. The tea flavor wasn't super strong, especially since I got mine half sweet. I'll give this Gong Cha 4 stars because of the lack of competition in the Perimeter Mall area, so this makes for a decent boba tea fix for me when I'm perusing around the mall and too lazy to drive anywhere else to satisfy my cravings. If there were more options in this area, I would probably say it would be about a 3 or 3.5 at best because there wasn't anything extra exciting about the selection they offer. I'm not sure why, but when I stopped by they didn't have any of their milk foam options, so unfortunately I wasn't able to try it out, so I decided to try the QQ passionfruit green tea which comes with black boba and lychee jelly. You can customize your ice and sweetness levels, and I chose 30% ice and 50% sweetness although I probably could have gone down more on the sweetness with this drink because it was still really sweet. Their drinks come in medium or large, and you have an option to order some drinks hot too I believe, but I've never really been enticed to try hot boba tea lol. It's located inside Perimeter mall in the wing going towards the outdoor dining area, so it really is a fairly convenient location for a quick boba fix, but when I stopped by on the weekend they were backed up with orders, and I've only seen a max of 2 people work this kiosk. If you catch them at a bad time you may end up waiting a while for your order even if it doesn't look busy at the kiosk because you can also place orders online, so you may want to go ahead and place an online order if you don't favor patience. My experience here was decent enough to keep me coming back if I really have a hankering for boba tea while I'm shopping around the mall, but I wouldn't say it was the most unique or one of the best boba tea spots I've been to. read more

There's FINALLY a boba place inside Perimeter Mall!!!! I have no idea why it took so long to get one inside this mall but i searched for this place for a good 15 minutes waking around. It's right by the new Zara store (the massive one) and Godiva. TARO MILK TEA I like it a lot. I get the Taro milk tea cold with egg pudding and regular sugar. I'm usually a very reasonable person but this little girl at the Perimeter Mall location needs training or to be replaced. She had the audacity to mess up my order and then proceed to tell me I need to speak up next time we order. The irony is, my fiancé could hardly hear her when she spoke. Maybe this is one of those cases where the person is unable to take their own advice. Either way, I'd like to reiterate that the owners of Gong Cha Tea should strongly consider providing her with customer service training or even replace her. As long as she is there I'm never coming back. The drinks were very watered down and then came with an attitude as a topping that was not requested. I would rather go to a standalone Gong Cha location next time, because I do think the fact that this one is inside the mall means lower quality. However, the customer service was good when I went, so that should be noted. I got the classic black milk tea with black pearls, less ice and sugar. So glad to have a boba tea shop at Perimeter mall because I work close to the area and don't have to venture out to Buford Hwy anymore! I love boba tea and every time I pass by a shop, I can't help but to stop in and get something :). I've ordered here several times and not once was I disappointed. Staff were all friendly, accommodating, and prepared the drinks quickly. Most importantly the teas have been consistent. I've ordered different kinds, from basic teas to fruit teas to milk teas. All were great. You can customize your ice and sugar level here like other places, which I appreciate as I don't like mine sweet. I get minimum sugar and it's more than plenty for my taste buds. I've only been here during lunch hour and there's never more than one or two people in line. It's a little kiosk upstairs, right behind the front main entrance of the mall. They also have a stand alone store in Sandy Springs on Roswell Road, across from Rumi's Kitchen, which is also great! read more

Got some drinks here with my mom. I got the matcha milk tea with half sugar, and she got the taro smoothie. They both tasted great, although even half sugar is very sweet so I'd advise choosing a lower sugar level than normal. The boba ("black pearls") had a great flavor and texture, but they weren't cooled before being put into our drinks which was a little weird. It's a little pricey if you get something other than the basic tea, and they do charge a little for each topping. It's great to see a boba tea place inside the mall! read more

For a mall stand boba place, I have zero complaints. It was two young teenage girls working here when I came. When I was walking towards the stands, I thought they would continue their conversation with each other, but instead the girls promptly greeting us and took our orders.
