My son and I always order the honeydew smoothie no boba 2x lychee jelly where as my daughter orders the fresh fruit mango smoothie no boba also 2x jelly. The bubble drinks, bubbie mochi ice cream and macaroons all tastes good. Staff is always friendly when I come in. Store is clean. I always go once a week to order for myself and my kids but I always go before the kids from both Ilima and Campbell get out or else it'd get pack really quick. They have different varieties of flavors. I haven't tried other flavors because I just like my honeydew flavor. This place is convenient because I live in Ewa, also it is very reasonably priced (which is a good thing when you have to buy for not only yourself, but your kids as well). The only thing is that the tapioca isn't consistently good, some days its perfectly cooked, and other days its undercooked. Also, I feel like their blended drinks taste a little more watered down than other places. My kids like to get the honeydew drink and every time I take a sip, it tastes like they didn't put enough powder in the drink. Also, the lady working at the front has NO personality, I've actually only seen her smile one time in all of the times I've been there, and it was at a customer who was clearly either a regular, or whom she knew personally. Made the drive out to Ewa Beach last night to do some Pokemon hunting and to try Boba Cafe, since my kids love boba/milk tea drinks. Walked into this quaint, nicely painted shop, clean and tastefully furnished. I went up to order at the counter where I was met by a woman, whom I'm assuming is the owner as she was directing her workers around and scolding some patrons who seemed to be friends of one of her male workers. I don't think she was purposely being unfriendly, but it's more like she had no personality. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and what items were out. However she was somewhat condescending as if I should've known everything. I had said it was our first time there, either she didn't hear, didn't care or didn't understand. But then again, maybe she just doesn't have customer service skills, I don't know. I purchased two large milk teas with mochi (mocha and chocolate with black tea) and one medium honeydew milk tea made with green tea and boba) total was a little over $13. Our receipt looked like the number 9 was written on it. We could hear another female at the other end of the counter yell out number 57, coconut. We didn't react because the number seemed very different than what was written on ours and because we didn't order anything with coconut. The same no personality female that we placed our order with steps up from behind the counter and motions to me and say, " your order." She didn't look happy, and I told her about the number on our receipt and that the other female said coconut. She said no she didn't. While i had three separate groups of customers tell me they heard coconut too, but hey, the lady said I was wrong. So, we went up and got our drinks. We decided not to stay and drink our teas there as it started to get packed in there and once you get your drinks, you get the feeling they want you to leave, even though there are tables and chairs there. I don't plan on going back. The drinks were the average drink, they weren't bad, however to pay anything and be treated in the manner she treated us, wasn't worth the drive. And I'd rather spend my hard earned money where it is appreciated or at least greeted with a smile. read more

Our very first visit was not great in terms of quality, but I know sometimes things aren't as perfect the first time around. We came in for the first time towards the ending of January 2019 at about 8pm at night. I was so anticipated and excited as I love bubble drinks. I ordered the Matcha blended and the flavor was pretty good however it was hard for me to really enjoy my drink due to the ice blended texture. I have try other places so in comparison to Boba Cafe the texture of the drink was too chunky and hard to drink from the cup or sip through a straw. I absolutely love boba but unfortunately their boba was mostly hard and tough/hard to chew. My daughter ordered the Pineapple Smoothie and she said her drink was pretty good, however she experienced the same issue with the boba, it was hard/tough to chew. This is my honest and truthful review. I don't like to give poor reviews especially because I can tell that this place has a lot of potential, but I feel that sometimes honesty helps to improve quality and service. read more

I came here with my girlfriend to get some semi late night boba and since this place opened up we said why not go. Sadly, I am very underwhelmed. I got three different drinks; Mango Green Tea, Honeydew Smoothie, and Black Milk Tea. The honeydew smoothie was alright, tasted like an average powdered honeydew smoothie. But unfortunately, the Mango GT was 3/4 empty! I ordered it with no boba inside or ice, but still! If I wanted it with nothing else inside but the tea then I expect it to be full of it! Last but not least, Black Milk Tea, the taste was definitely NOT fresh and was more of a powdery type of taste. I've been meaning to write a review for this place. Heard of it thanks to Bretman Rock, a few months ago. I've tried a a few different drink. 1.) Mars Special - This is my "go-to" drink. It's Ube & Avocado mixed, with ube ice cream on top. It is on the more rich side. Me and my kids (5yrs & 2yrs) usually share the large. 2.) Strawberry cheese cake - I'd rate this 3/5. It was a bit more on the sour side. I actually didn't like it much, so I put it in the fridge. It was better the next morning, but still sour for my tasting. I wouldn't recommend it. 3.) Vanilla birthday cake - I've only tried it once this past week, and it's my new favorite! :) It wasn't overly sweet. Basically it was a vanilla smoothie, topped with ice cream, frosting and sprinkles. I wish they would've added a little more frosting, since it is called "birthday cake". The hubby said it was a little chalky for his tasting. My husband likes the taro and ube flavors as well. Prices are so-so. We usually spend $12-$14 for 2, depending on what we add on. The only reason why I deducted a star was because the lady/owner/cashier comes off a bit strong. Not mean, but not exactly nice. For example, I was telling her I wanted a "vanilla w/ birthday cake toppings", and she just insisted "what?? you mean birthday cake." I was thinking "geez, it's not exactly on the menu, so i'm describing what it is....." Anyway, after I got my drink she said, "see, now it looks like a birthday cake." My experience coming to this new Boba café has always been good. One thing you'll notice when you get there is the parking. There's tons of parking available, and even on normal business days, parking will always be available. The cafe is located deep in Ewa Beach, next to Buger King and Olina Intermediate. Upon entering the store, you'll notice how clean their facility is, and are always greeted by either the owner or employees. That is always a breath of fresh air, because some if the Boba places we've visited before barely even make eye contact with you. Their menu is basically the same as it is in other shops, so if yiu already have a favorite Boba or tea drink, they have it available. One thing that keeps me coming here is that they are located in my community, and we don't have to travel t9 Pearl City or further to get our Boba fix. Price are fair, and if you like to add toppings to yiur drink, they have them available for an additional $1. They also have mini French Macarons as a topping option. "B, I got that bobaaaa." Anyone else know what I'm referring to? Lol, probably not. But I'd been wanting to try this place since seeing it on Bretmanrock's Instagram. Boba Cafe though? The name is so basic. From the outside, it looks pretty basic. The inside looks basic too. Even the menu looks basic. But looks can be deceiving, and in this case, the basic-ness was very deceiving. Luckily I did my research- I went on their Instagram (bobacafe.ewa) and saw all these pictures of colorful, fun looking drinks. They also mentioned a secret menu. So when It was my turn to order, I of course asked the lady what was on it! The secret menu includes: cookies and cream, ube-be, blue hawaii, birthday cake, blueberry cheesecake, and more. I stopped the cashier and ordered when she said "blueberry cheesecake" because my indecisive butt would have been trying to decide all day. The drink: blueberry cheesecake smoothie with boba and ice cream on top. OMG. It was smooth, creamy, and delicious. It had the perfect consistency and the boba was the perfect texture (not too soft, not too hard). Along with a poppin' secret menu, they also offer a large variety of toppings, from different bobas, ice cream, sprinkles, flan... The list goes on. Let me tell you, I am a boba connoisseur. I don't tolerate the powdery drinks with flavorless, hard tapioca balls. I don't do basic when it comes to boba. But Boba Cafe sure impressed me! Their secret menu, toppings, and quality of the drink get 5 stars from me. It's worth the drive to Ewa Beach and I'm excited to try more drinks! read more

So there's this quaint little boba shop deep in ewa beach that just opened up. It is located in the same parking lot as Burger King. Right next to Ilima intermediate. Parking hasn't been an issue when I've gone, since there is a good amount in the area. Been here a handful of times at different hours of the day. I think the best time to go would be when they open cause the wait isn't that long. Worst times I'm pretty sure would be after school since it is walking distance of the school. Recently they've added a few new items to top your drink with. They have tiny Macarons ($1) and I believe they have cookies as well. Just found out about this place, and came here twice in 3 days. Not even ashamed about it cause it's that good lol! SO. FREAKIN. GOOD. Oh my gosh. It was so thick (which I like) but a little too sweet. The woman working at the register said you can request for it to be less sweet, I think. This drink isn't something I would order all the time, only because I don't want to get diabetes in my 20's. My friends tried some other drinks, I think the fruit loops smoothie with a bunch of toppings. That one was okay, but I liked my other friend's better. She got the matcha smoothie with ice cream, cookies n cream crumbles & a coffee macaron. That one...was amazing. Second time I came I got a milk tea smoothie with ice cream and cookie crumbles. It was alright, but the milk tea flavor wasn't the best in my opinion (I drink milk tea like it's my job). Boyfriend got the taro smoothie with ube on top. That one was soooo good! My friend got a raspberry smoothie with ice cream, sprinkles, and a raspberry mac. That one had a nice, different taste that I wouldn't mind ordering myself one day. Been here couple times since my boyfriend lives within walking distance. Service is fast and has a variety menu. Sometimes the owner is nice, sometimes shes just not in the mood but hey, as long as shes not being rude, I dont really care. Drinks are good, nothing different from other places. This is my favorite place to satisfy my boba cravings. Great to go to with friends to hangout and chill. I love that they're open until 11pm pretty much all week except for Sundays when they close at 6pm. So throughout the weekdays even if it's quite late I can swing on by and get a treat. But my favorite drink is definately the birthday cake boba. It usually comes with an ice cream scoop, birthday shell, sprinkles, and a macaroon. You can always add anything else they have that suits your taste, which is great, but I like mine the way it comes. The boba is nice and chewy and the blended part is sweet and creamy. I tried it for the first time a while back and I'm obsessed with it! I even surprised my brother with one on his birthday and he really liked it too! Our "go to" place for smoothies with boba on the island. My wife and I have sampled boba smoothies all over Oahu and believe this place to offer the best boba drink and the best value for your money. The smoothies are thick and full of flavor unlike the others we've tried that seemed a bit watered down and more expensive. I almost always order the honeydew smoothie with boba while my wife tries different flavors. She seems to favor the seasonal pumpkin spice smoothie and the ginger bread smoothie. She also likes the Thai tea, wintermelon and Vietnamese coffee smoothies on the regular menu. There is also a "secret" menu available on Instagram for those looking for something out of the ordinary. The folks are friendly, especially the proprietor affectionately referred to as Auntie Boba. They have slushes, smoothies and variation of teas along with variety of toppings including ice cream, tapioca balls, lychee jelly, coffee jelly etc. The large size drink is more than enough! The Boba here is bit runny and they put a lot of the brown sauce that is from the boba which makes the drink a bit bitter. Whoa - talk about avocado flavor! I would equate this smoothie to a drinkable guacamole with boba. I am not a fan! I ordered the lemonade slush with mini boba for my BF, and that was delicious!
