I am so glad this place is conveniently located right here in Ewa Beach. I walked in and was immediately greeted. I ordered a large lychee smoothie with boba balls that cost 4.00 and added lychee jelly for .50. The prices are not only very affordable, but it there drinks incredibly delicious! There generous amounts of boba balls & lychee jelly left me wanting more. So..... Later in evening I went back with my family, for dessert. This time I had the fresh fruit smoothie "Avocado" with boba balls and rainbow jelly and this too was incredibly delicious! Although I frequent the Ewa Beach area a lot, I've still only been here once. I've decided that this is just not my cup of tea (literally). This Boba spot is known for their smoothies. I'm not that kind of gal. If anyone knows me it's either tea, alcohol, h2o (yes, in that order). Besides, eveyone knows it's the milkshakes that bring everyone to the yard, lol. As I digress, back to the boba at hand. We come to this building at least twice a year to visit the dentist above. On one of these visits I gave in and bought a mango smoothie for my son with boba. I tried a bit to see what the (non)T-ea was about, and I really was not impressed. It was tart! Like pucker your lips and glands tart! I know that mangoes definitely have seasons so that might have been the reason why. An off season mango, depending on the type, can definitely be lacking in the sweets dept. Otherwise, I don't know how else that drink could have been so darn tart. As far as the boba (tapioca) goes, it was alright. I'm definitely a perfectly cooked and sugared, nice and chewy boba lover. When you know, ya know, right? Boba that's been sitting a while is just the worst. And boba that hasn't been cooked enough is just as awful. Just like an al dente pasta, boba has to be that "al dente" just right chewy. The boba we had, old-ish. It wasn't a crumbly, hard old. It was just not a chewy, somewhat hard-ish kind of old. Bare with me, I know I'm sounding like a nuttty, self proclaimed boba connoisseur. But I love boba, and this one was just "meh". I know I will end up giving them another chance, but to be honest, I'll be using my kids as testers. Parking can be a challenge. Getting into the lot I feel like is a bit annoying too. First Timer at Boba Cafe and to be honest it was a little overwhelming. However,I love the drink that I ordered which was from their Secret Menu (not listed in store, but ask the owner or follow them on Instagram). It was the MARS SPECIAL which is a purple concoction of UBE, AVOCADO (you can substitute it) and HAUPIA. I also added a vanilla macron just because for an aesthetic for my photo and I just wanted a macron to go with it. The owner suggests that they do many customizations of the drinks too, which is awesome but also pricey if you keep adding things to the drinks. Other than that I would come back again. read more

I ended up getting a peach smoothie. Thankfully it was good so I didn't complain. The birthday she'll was sweet but not necessary. My daughter ate the macaron. I noticed the macaron was on the smaller side compared to other macarons I've seen served here. Price: I paid $6 for a regular size fruit smoothie with the extra toppings. The extra toppings cost $0.50-$1.00. Boba is included when you add on any toppings. Menu Board: The menu board has been revised since my first visit. I can certainly see why this place has a following. My kids love it and they have plenty of options of both drinks and add-ins. They also have an impressive selection of non-dairy drinks. I've only had one drink here, although I've taken the kids a few times now. Unfortunately, I was not impressed. I always order a Thai Tea smoothie boba and Watermelon smoothie boba (occasionally), and it tastes great! I can confidently say that their drinks are very consistent. After you order they will give you a receipt with a number and that's like a ticket for you to give to them at the pick-up window to confirm your order. Customer service is on point, they were really nice and patient during my ordering process. I love how you have an option to add ice-cream, and other toppings to your boba drink, if you're a regular customer it makes it convenient to change up your drink instead of sticking with the same thing each time. The environment is bright and spacious. It's easy to maneuver around. There's a counter table with high chairs next to the pick-up window for you to wait. This is our go-to Boba place. Conveniently located in Ewa, easy parking and opened late. There are SO MANY options. My husband and I love to get the taro and fresh strawberry smoothie with boba. It's AMAZING especially during strawberry season. They have a good variety of flavors, toppings and mix-ins making the possibilities endless. Service is great, even when they're swamped, which I find very impressive. There is a wait sometimes but it's definitely worth it. Call ahead if you're pressed for time. Hit and miss sometimes. I feel like sometimes I want to give them an X and sometimes I want to give them a golden buzzer. The boba is great, I like the different combination you can get; the problem is after awhile it gets a little expensive then most of the places I have been too. Maybe it's because they are close to a school and are trying to teach the younger kids about Money. Service hit and miss. Sometimes you are greeted with a smile and sometimes it's "you know what you want?" Well just smile and place your order. Wait time varies if they are really backed up. It seems there is always at least one cashier and one person making the drinks in the back and another person at the front making the drinks. So three people total but it takes some time. I want to say because I get a complicated drink that it takes time but you would think since it's on the menu and they constantly make it there would be very little wait. Ooh well. After school, you may have a longer wait. Remember they are teaching finances to the kids and sometimes I feel me. Three stars for ample parking and no restroom. This place is great! Came for the first time on a Monday night and I love that they're open til 11pm even on weekdays because sometimes I really want a late night boba/smoothie and everywhere else is always closed. Located across the street of Longs Drugs and McDonalds, and right next to Burger King in Ewa Beach. We got a Taro smoothie with boba ($3.50) and a plain Lava Flow ($4.00). Let me say that it was one of best blended drinks we've ever ordered from a boba/milk tea/smoothie place. Even better than some places I've tried in Cali. Unlike some places where they barely fill the cup or put 3/4 ice, the drinks overflowed to the lid and it wasn't watered down, but perfect. Their boba is the right amount of sweet and chewy. Normally I don't get boba in my drinks because it's a hit or miss, but I'd get theirs next time because it was good. 3rd time here and finally making a review. 1st time I came I looked on yelp beforehand to look at all of the drinks. Glad I did because there's so many choices and looking at the menu didn't help me narrow down what I wanted. I ended up trying the lava flow smoothie. It was pretty good but for my taste, needed more strawberry walls. 2nd time I got the strawberry cheesecake smoothie which I LOVED! I love cheesecake and the drink tasted exactly like it. And now I tried a mocha smoothie which was okay.. tastes like they use soymilk? The only reason I said it was okay is because I love getting a mocha shake from another boba place. But it wouldn't be fair to compare.. it still tastes great it's just not my favorite. I think next time I'll try the blueberry cheesecake smoothie :) We love that this shop is open late for our late night cravings. And customer service was always great. This place is like a standard if you live in Ewa Beach, everyone goes there. And I mean everyone. Pre-COVID, make sure you have at least 30-1hour for waiting for your boba! I like that they are a local business and they are extremely friendly! Its a family-owned business but they take forever to make the drinks. Sandwiched between Burger King and Ilima Intermediate in Ewa Beach this place, as you can guess, is always busy after school. Their prices are reasonable and some of the cheapest on the island. They also put more emphasis on the fruit smoothies than most tea places. With an extensive menu there's lots to choose from to customise your drink. The space itself is large with very comfy loungy chairs and tables outside on the sidewalk. During the scorching summer heat it's a great place to cool off. This is an outstanding spot to get Vietnamese coffee. I just discovered it fell in love with the place! This coffee is stronger than Starbucks and blows it away! PROs: finally a local place in the neighborhood that has good old fashion Vietnamese, slow drip coffee. They also balance it out with sweet condensed milk which is the proper way to make it. The place also has different options for smoothies and teas. Parking can become an issue if you come during peak hours. All ingredients taste fresh and homemade. CONs: probably not a real downfall, there's just always 50 high school kid sitting around the place after school. Just goes to show how popular the place is. Came here 20 minutes before closing and the lady behind the register was very pleasant. It was our first time here so she made suggestions since they were out of what I originally had wanted.
