My son came into this store last night and bought Ube latte and Thai tea with boba drink. The total bill was $14.55. Service was fast. I like my Ube Latte 50% sweetness, they made it the way I like as usual. My son had dinner and ice cream beforehand, so he couldn't finish his entire drink. He was only able to drink half of it. It's weird because I never used to like Boba Guys. Recently, I gave it another shot at this location, and now I keep coming back. I really enjoy their Classic Black Tea with boba. They are very generous with the boba, sometimes, a bit too generous. I always ordered my drinks for pickup, so I usually don't interact much with the employees until recently. Like usual, I placed an online order for pickup, but I was running late. I didn't think much of it, but when I got to the usual pickup spot, my order wasn't there. I asked one of the employees. He just said that my order has been sitting here for a little while, so he wanted to wait until I was there to remake it for me so that it's not watered down. That was very nice and considerate of them, and I appreciate it very much. Overall, I really like the drinks here, especially the Classic Black tea that I always order. It's been quite some time since I've reviewed Boba Guys. I think I've eased up on them a bit as prices of boba seem to be going up for other places and now we're all at roughly the same pricing these days roughly $7 a drink which is kind of mind numbing to think of it. Will it stop me from buying boba? No, but it's always shocking. They have a kiosk to order at if the boba-ristas are busy. But I do see them sometimes take a break if there's a line that starting to form due to the kiosk being used which is nice. I like that they're aware. They did move some of their merch or additional wares to the middle of the store which makes a bit sense since it's a bit empty in the middle and the seats and waiting areas on the side. It's still pretty clean and aesthetic since it opened. The long lines are not there any more which is great for me when I'm needing to buy drinks. Wait time for drinks are still on par. The last drink I got from them was a hot Matcha Latte with House and Honey sweetener. I don't recall seeing % of sweetness but I just checked the online menu and it's there. Well whatever I selected was way too sweet. Perhaps next time I should be more aware of the sweetness level option and make sure to select 25% as I saw that the suggested % was 50. It was pretty though and full of matcha flavor. Had I known Boba Guys had a rewards system I would've signed up already as I ordered 3 drinks. I just signed up for their rewards now and sadly start without any points. Oh well! I kind of wish they promoted it while you're ordering so you can get your points already. I went to Boba Guys at Santana Row and decided to do one here at Bishop Ranch. I really like the ambiance here with all of the decorations they displayed here with a mini shop. It really fits to today's modernity. The menu displays calories including the toppings, which is good for calorie tracking. I also like the animal that's being displayed on the boba cups. The boba doesn't really taste too sweet. You either can get the drink warm or iced with other toppings you wanna include. Black Sugar Hojicha (5/5) I love hojicha almost as much as I love matcha. It did taste like a normal hoji latte, I didn't get boba, but I was so glad it wasn't sickeningly sweet. i'm probably one of the very few who isn't a fan of Boba Guys. i hear so many good things about this place but I'm just not a fan. My first time trying was years ago in SoCal and was not a fan of their jasmine milk tea. it just tasted off. the blend of tea that they used was not very good. I did give Boba Guys a couple of other chances at different location and i ordered different drinks each time. And each time, i thought it was just okay. there are so many other boba places with better tea and better boba texture. Their classic black is alright -- i normally don't order black tea, but if i end up at boba guys i will recommend their classic black over their jasmine green. I thought it was just the SoCal location that the tea was off but having it tried in San Ramon, yeah it is the same - not good. Okaaay, I get the hype! And I know I'm late to the hype, but I see why folks love Boba Guys. This location is conveniently in the City Center Bishop Ranch shopping center. There's tons of parking here and lots of other shops and restaurants so you can make a whole day (or at least a few hours) out of your visit. On the weekends, the plaza does get quite busy as they often have events, which means that this Boba Guys location also gets quite busy. When I recently stopped by on a weekday evening, though, it wasn't busy at all and we were able to take our time with perusing the menu and making a decision. We asked for recommendations and the staff member recommended the Black Sugar Hojicha. I've never Hojicha before, but based on his description, it sounded like something I might like and sure enough, it was delicious. He knew that this was the first time I was trying it, so he offered to make something different if I didn't like it. But it was not necessary, I enjoyed it! They also have quite a few goodies, merch, and snacks for purchase along with their drinks. There is some seating in this shop but there's also plenty of seating outside in the plaza. Boba Guys often has seasonal drinks too. One of my favorites that I've had before is the sapin sapin drink, a nod to the Filipino dessert. Definitely worth a visit if you're craving boba while in San Ramon! read more

If you're coming for the first time: it is located in a shopping center so there's lots of choices for parking. There's a few tables and some seating inside. My boyfriend ordered the Black Sugar Hojicha (oat milk) w/ boba & I ordered the Horchata (oat milk) w/ boba. The boba was slightly overcooked in my drink, a bit too soft for my liking. Not too much flavor in my Horchata, almost watered down. The Black Sugar Hojicha was pretty amazing. I loved the juxtaposition between bitter/roasted taste of the Hojicha & sweetness of the black sugar. If I were to come back, I'd probably order that. My boyfriend enjoyed his drink as well. I was in town this past weekend to enjoy the San Ramon Christmas tree, lighting and nutcracker dancers. As it was outdoors, we brought our pup and enjoyed walking around at all the stores we were famished, but needed to start our evening with a Boba-tizer! Tell me you haven't and we'll all know you're lyin'! The decor is monochrome, black, white, and wood, which I like a lot throughout the store with hints of greenery here and there. It was closing so the floor looked a bit run down but fairly clean presentation throughout the store. Lots of teens and families coming in last minute to get their drink orders in. The store staff were super kind and gave good recommendations on their seasonal flavors, in addition to their most popular drinks before I ordered. They have a pretty extensive menu with flavors incorporated from around the world. However, I always go back to the OG Korean Banana Milk Boba! I asked for it without ice and it was sooooo easily gone in 5min. They have a new app that they advertise on a plaque so I signed up for that and got 25% off my first drink, they also have merch available for purchase and I really wanted one of their black sweatshirts with the Boba Welcome Mat Logo but they were sold out.
