This oldie but goodie relocated from Marina Grocery / 168 Market at Warm Springs Fremont. It was the first boba shop that served their milk tea using fresh tea leaves before it became popular. Tea Island has always been the affordable and steady boba shop for me. While other stores are charging at least $7 per beverage, Tea Island stays budget friendly. This location is nestled inside Ranch 99. Grab and go, not a place to hang out or get work done.

I saw this newer spot on Yelp and decided to give it a try! I knew from other reviews it's located inside the 99 Ranch so that was helpful to know before-hand as it might have been a bit tricky to find otherwise. The stall itself is a bit barren and looks like they could still be moving in fully, but it was clean and works for the purpose so practicality-wise it was perfect. There was just one person working, I assume the owner, but it wasn't busy so it worked out fine and she was very nice, recommended drinks when I asked and was efficient making them. The drinks themselves were good, a nice clean and true flavor. The boba/tapioca pearls were not bad but not amazing. I will definitely come back though if I want simple, clean milk tea flavors!

My favorite boba place that I drive to Pleasanton for! It used to be in the Marina/168 Market in Fremont, but reopened in Pleasanton. I've been going to Tea Island since I was a kid. Yue is the nicest and super fast at making all drinks. She brews actual tea leaves for the milk tea. which gives it an authentic tea flavor. My favorites are the Jasmine Milk Tea and Lychee Green Tea. Tea Island is a grab and go boba shop located in 99 Ranch. It's in the corner near the bakery. She takes Venmo/Cash. Highly recommend stopping here for a quick refresher! :)

Again this is the best boba place ever. I've been coming here for over 14+ years. I've had boba from my homeland Taiwan, and I can say without a doubt this is better if not the best boba and tea I've ever had. Yue is the best! Keep in mind it's only her working so if she's on break just ring her or come back in a couple of minutes because obviously some people are on a break if they aren't there. She is amazing, best service ever. I recommend getting jasmine milk tea or peach oolong milk tea or any of the fruit teas, 50-75% sugar is actually not that sweet (I get 25-30% usually all other boba places) and no where can compare to the authentic tea she makes and she makes the boba everyday!

Uses FRESH tea leaves per tea order and does not have that stringent taste. Love this place because it's fresh and I can taste the tea. This is the place I compare all other tea places to and I try milk tea in every city/country I visit (if possible). Fresh tea drinks for $5.25 (without boba). Yes, this is the place that used to be in Fremont. This is inside the Ranch99 bldg. I used to go to this place when it was in Fremont, the service is excellent, she's fast and has never messed up my drinks no matter how busy it is.

The drinks here are great and pretty cheap for such an large drink. the staff made the drinks super fast, too!

This boba shop caught our attention because its so convenient in 99 Ranch AND the prices are great! We did some shopping, had dinner then came back for our boba fix. The service was quick, the drinks were really good and you can't beat the prices. We had a variety from a frapucccino icy drink, warm tea with boba, taro and lychee. They were all good sized and so yummy. We will definitely be back to this gem!

Wow, what a hidden gem, within the 99 Ranch Market. My oolong tea was fantastic. Prices are the lowest you will find anywhere in the Bay

It's a small shop but it didn't feel crowded while I waited for my order. I got the dragonfly smoothie which is a tropical drink. We've loved coming here…read moresince we moved to Pleasanton 4 years ago but have noticed more frequently they'll just be out of smoothie ingredients here and there and sometimes just ALL ingredients altogether. This has happened 3-4 time in the last 6 months. Random zero operation days that they'll just be closed during advertised hours of operation. Staff used to be much friendlier; most recently we get the inattentive worker with AirPods in that barely acknowledge us. Our latest visit we came around lunchtime with plans to enjoy a refreshing smoothie at Delucci Park. The smoothie was very watered down and almost tasteless... I walked back from the park to see if they would remake it and the door was locked with nobody inside. Something has definitely changed about this place in the last year or so, and unfortunately, not for the better.

I was looking for a tiny cafe/coffee shop with specific items for my temporary special diet and ChaiAum had it here. Lots of public parking spaces on the huge lot conveniently located. It's nothing fancy, but very casual, cozy, soothing with a good music soundtrack, and it had two good sized public restrooms available. Nepali Himalayan flavors/East Asian Indian owner Rani. We sparked each other with common topics and she was very inviting and polite as we chatted. I knew I had to try them out. Good service as needed. Toss your own trash. For this type low key casual tiny cafe/small business, it's actually legit and good quality here. Good menu options. I had the delicious avocado toast on sourdough. 5/5 outstanding. It turned out very fresh and perfect for my tastebuds. Simple and good in presentation. I ordered a hot cup 12oz. Organic Golden Tumeric Ginger Tea and ended up with a large teapot to enjoy. Perfect taste. Loved it. I purchased a bag of organic chamomile flower herbal tea leaves from the gift shelf with my order. Soothing. Inexpensive. All beverages/pastries/teas/coffees/boba drinks looked good and I'm sure they taste very good too. Overall experience was very good. Again, not fancy and not luxury here. Plenty of seats and tables indoors and outdoors. All positive. Himalayan food items are worth trying. Amazing. Looks like a place worth stopping when convenient in Pleasanton, CA. Nice. Thanks to Rani.

Must try spot in Tri-Valley!…read more I'm from San Jose and ever since moving to Dublin, I've been searching for a banh mi place that measures up to what I grew up with in San Jose. I found it! Banh mi dac biet - bread was crunch and fresh, pickled daikon and carrots were larger and not too sour or sweet, good meat portion, sandwich was moist with the mayo and pate! Banana pudding matcha - not too sweet, fresh bananas on the bottom, creamy top and earthy matcha! Kid friendly spot with a fuse ball machine, games and even a Tesla motorbike! The owners were super sweet, I'm definitely coming back again! I can't wait to try the other drinks & banh mi's next time!

Peanuts in the banh mi.....? Good thing I don't have a peanut allergy. :X…read more There were only a couple of peanuts, so my hunch is that maybe scooping utensils are being shared for different condiments in the kitchen and the peanuts accidentally slipped into the sandwich. Either way, there are zero ingredient descriptions of the banh mi in the menu displays here so no warning about the peanuts if the addition is intentional. The banh mi itself was just okay. Decent baguette crunch. I got the grilled pork version and the pork was tasty though a little tough. There was something overly gritty in some parts of the sandwich and it might have been pate not being spread smoothly and evenly. Little to no pickle taste in the daikon and carrots. Also got a matcha bubble waffle. Bitter burnt on the edges. Green passionfruit tea was pretty standard and it hit the spot on a warm day. Eh, overall wouldn't say it's a place you'd go out of your way for.
