Regular Black Milk Tea with Boba
Ken C.

Heard from my friend about this place that was pretty good, brought me one online a regular bubble tea and when I went myself yesterday to buy the same thing, it was something totally different. See picture. The one from grubhub from the same store taste way better and was in a different packaging. Let's talk my experiences walking into the store. Went in around 3pm Sunday saw this old old lady whose English was really bad, can't understand how to work her own system charged me $11 for a (one) large warm bubble tea. Told her that can't be right, she said it's the way it's suppose to be charged. Then I ordered another cold black milk tea with boba even when the menu said it was $3.75 she tried to charge me another $10.40 for it, which then I decline the warm drink and took the colder one instead. See picture. Lost receipt but their receipt was not itemized. It was basically whatever they type into the register. It didn't have their name or whatever. At the end I actually got 2 drinks, the cold and warm one I told her I already cancel the warm and I don't think she understood me. The whole experience was weird.

This is my siblings and I to go spot for boba when we can't get out of the island! The few times I visited the store, it was the same man who helped me with my orders. He was super friendly and even accepted the 20% off Yelp check-in! An FYI: repeat the orders again (when ordering multiple drinks) at the end to make sure orders are correct!

Cold fighting juice

This was a delicious juice, I also got a protein shake and that was super tasty. I would come here again

Came here spontaneously for a bubble tea craving, cute hidden spot around the corner. Almost couldn't find it because the entrance isn't actually ON Forest, but on Burnside Avenue. Check-In gave us 20% off and the man who worked there was really polite. Something to note though is that is bubbles ARE different from the bubbles used at chain bubble tea shops like Coco or ViVi like another review mentioned, or but I still liked them! I ordered a Thai Milk Tea with Boba and my dad ordered a Taro Milk Slush with Boba. Might try something different next time. Good in-store service. Thank you to the shop owner.

Finally there is a bubble tea place that is closer to my house and it taste amazing! I always get the fruit teas in bubble tea places so I tried lychee fruit tea with lychee jelly. My other friends tried the Thai milk tea with boba and peach yogurt. I tried both of their drinks and that were so good. I fell in love with the peach yogurt drink. It reminds me of Yakult yogurt drinks and I love those. So next time I will be trying other flavors of the yogurt drinks. They also have pokebowls but I was too full to try it but I will definitely try it next time. You will see me a lot!

Passed by the area and saw a new opening of boba tea shop so decided to give it a try. It's rare to see an Asian boba tea in Staten Island so I am surprised by the quality of the drink. It is comparable to any chains in Flushing or Chinatown. I tried the Hawaiian poke bowl this time and it's pretty good. Will come back next time and try another bowl. Gotta support the local!

J4 juice!

Love this place! Fresh juice with a lot of different selections. The customer service is impeccable. Prices are inexpensive too. Just perfect

Thai Milk Tea with Boba

I ordered 2 Thai milk teas and 1 taro milk tea. The Thai milk tea was good but the bubbles had a weird consistency for all drinks. I recommend vivis

Came here after a pool party with friends and family. Was thirsty so came across this bubble tea shop in Staten Island of all places. I ordered the jasmine green tea and it was really good ! The prices are much better and it's a great option for those who don't wanna venture out to Fort Lee or Chinatown. The drink was refreshing for this hot day and it had a great ambiance. I highly recommend for those in the area !

I tried the toffee chocolate chip which was a delightful twist on the tried-and-true formula. It was definitely loaded with toffee. The cookies are pretty big and cost about $5 per cookie, so it was hard to justify trying more than 1 flavor. The taste is good, but I wish they were a little smaller/cheaper to justify the indulgence. There was also a menu board slide show where I briefly saw an image of a sundae, but it never came back around, so I didn't end up ordering it. There was a pretty extensive drink menu as well. There wasn't really a lot of seating, but they pack up well to go. I would come back to try some of the other flavors and menu options.

The feta and spinach pastry, tuna salad and egg salad croissant were all very flavorful, but they overly light with the filling, where the ratio between the pastry and the filling were way too imbalanced (which you can easily see in the photos). For how much potential they have, if they add just a bit more filling to them they can easily become one of the top cafes in all of Staten Island. I hope they take this to heart for I really want them to do well and continue to become successful! Thank you for reading and best of luck! (:

The morning of our event there was snow on the ground, and Danielle, one of the owners, personally called early to confirm everything was still on. She shoveled herself out and drove in from New Jersey to make sure the coffee bar was set up and ready. That level of dedication and professionalism truly stood out. The coffee bar itself was a huge hit. They offered espresso drinks, cappuccinos, flavored lattes, oat milk options, and iced selections -- all made fresh to order. The quality was excellent and truly café-level, not just standard event coffee. The iced lattes were especially popular with our guests. The setup was polished and professional, the baristas were friendly and efficient, and it added such a fun, elevated touch to the brunch. If you're planning a wedding event, shower, or special celebration, I highly recommend Beans & Leaves. Exceptional service, delicious coffee, and a team that genuinely cares about your event.

One table had a group of senior women catching up; another of two kids enjoying their waffles; and a third of a customer enjoying her solitude with a book in hand. Interestingly, even with the low music, the acoustics made it difficult to hear the person I was with. There was so much chatter in the space! Still, I enjoyed my time. This was my first visit, so I asked the cashier what he'd recommend for toasts. What was suggested were the avocado toast or the ricotta with fig jam and arugula toast. I went for the latter! I paired it with a hibiscus/cranberry tea called Angel Fall Mist, apparently a fav among customers. All in all, the meal was delish!!! The fig jam was not too sweet and was complemented well by the ricotta cheese. $9 for the toast plus tax came out to $10.89. The tea total was $3.27. Pretty affordable, I'd say! If you're in the neighborhood, I highly recommend it!
