But the times I order in person the workers are so nice and respectful! Highly recommend to anyone trying out their shushes and milk teas! The ambience of the small shop feels like I'm actually in the 21st century, while incorporating cultural inspirations. Only really annoyance is with the app. The place is open but I can't use the app for the first 30 mins of it opening, which is a minor inconvenience.

They barely put any simple syrup, and it never tastes or looks the way it should. The kids working there definitely don't want to be there. Not sure who to bring this issue up with, I hope someone can show them again how each drink is made. I even asked cor 120% sugar lol and when I tasted it it had 0%. I did 120% because last time I did 100% and it tasted like 50%. I thought hmm maybe if I do 120% it would taste like 100%. Anyways I'm just venting because now I'm drinking coffee at 12am instead of drinking my mango green tea. I am going to return the drinks tomorrow, I think I've had enough wasting my money on Kung fu tea. There's no one there "managing", I'll just go down the block to vivi's. Will probably avoid this place in the future.

As of lately, this has become my more frequented place for boba. Tonight, I was craving the…read morepomegranate burst so I went to give that a try. It comes already with crystal boba which is my favorite. So it's supposed to be a combination of pomegranate juice and jasmine tea. However, I don't really taste the Jasmin tea that much. It was also ordered at 30% sugar but still tastes pretty sweet. All in all, I probably would not get this drink again but there are other drinks that I enjoy a lot

Before HeyTea came along on 86th street, Jooy Tea Shoppe was top tier. And maybe it still is. Their…read moredrinks - not all but some - are comparable to HeyTea's, especially the matcha and mango drinks. I've been drinking their watermelon slushee often because it's free when you spend over a certain amount on one of the food apps. I get the least amount of sugar and it kind of tastes like watermelon juice. It's very refreshing but I wouldn't send it out to compete with the other popular tea chains. This place not only sells drinks but sandwiches and small bites. Their crispy chicken sandwich is recommendable. The sauce is yummy and the chicken is usually juicy. I usually get the combos so I can takoyaki or curly fries with the sandwich. Recently, I tried their egg waffles, which seems to be a newer offer here. They have very enticing flavors, but it's kind of pricey considering it doesn't come with ice cream, like some other egg waffle shops. I tried the pork floss with seaweed but it tasted too fishy. I also tried the mochi biscoff flavor but the biscoff is not very obvious. It is softer and chewier than the pork floss and seaweed, and I think it's because of the mochi. I prefer my egg waffles crispier

Mushroom and chicken boxed rice - lots of chicken bone shards and too little pieces of Chinese sausage slices. Mixed rice noodle with fish ball - the fish ball option was something I requested for over the phone when they notified me one item that I ordered ran out. The fish ball was really tiny and on the harder side. Really not good quality fish balls. The rice noodle was not silky and smooth. The sauce was the worst part. Not enough sauce and too watered down. The flavors that's usually in the sauce were very subtle. Pork floss cheese loaf bread - the slices of bread were thick and fluffy so I was impressed. The pork floss cheese could be better. Not enough pork floss. Sounded better on paper Steamed Custard bun - it was a big bun so I excitedly ripped it apart but I found some weird charcoal color particles in the custard filling when I did that. Not sure what it was but in case it's a dead insect ripped apart, I threw out the whole bun Ham and cheese bun - just ok. I've had better at other bakeries. But again quite impressed with how fluffy the bread was Cha Siu bun - too oily on the exterior

The person that called me was very nice when they let me know about the replacement. The fried rice tasted hard. The curry fishballs tasted too watery, and they need more rice in the claypot rice dishes. We enjoyed the dumplings, the tea eggs, and the rice noodles. I've been in this bakery in the past - it's always very bright and airy. We will call in earlier next time.

Why should you travel?…read more -It expands your horizons. -You learn how to avoid prejudices. -You get a better world view on issues and people. -It is healthy for you. -It expands your imagination. Why do I travel? -To try new food. -To go somewhere I have never been before. -To see a world you cannot see from the air. -To see amazing sights. -To make new memories. Why does this matter at all to a Yelp review? Well, it does. Because thanks to my travels, restaurants and cafes like this one make me prepared and ready for what is to come. Two trips to Canada and a trip to Paris prepare you for what you could expect at a creperie that also happens to sell waffles and frozen yogurt, and a few other things, but mostly dessert. Vancouver prepped me for the waffles. Quebec and Montreal prepped me for the crepes. The US has prepped me for the frozen yogurt. All this prepped me well when I ordered a sweet crepe and got a superb symphony of sweet flavors. Fantastic and fresh banana and strawberries, a very fresh Nutella topping, and a binding agent in a crepe! Next time I will order a savory and a sweet to see how it all goes, and maybe a waffle or two for good measure. Of course this is all putting it back, back in the New York groove, which this carries so well. I will be back here, which thankfully requires little travel on my part.

The paninis were delicious, and the berries were fresh and sweet, but the açaí itself had clearly gone bad. It tasted fermented, like spoiled berries, and it was obvious that it was no longer fresh.
