Gawwwsh I love Boba. Who doesn't? My mother and I came here with a moneymailer coupon, as we are cheap, and though it was expired (3/9) we were allowed to use it (3/15)! Yay! Automatic brownie points. We ordered two bubble teas, one laksa (spicy curry) noodle soup, and a wonton noodle bowl. The bubble tea came out very quickly. The first one, a classic Taro bubble tea was a tad bit sweet, but unlike other taro teas, it actually had the essence of Taro you taste when you're eating actual taro pastries, which was really nice. Taro Tea rating: 4/5! Tip: Taro in other places is generally just purple milk tea. You can attest the quality of a shop's bubble tea by its additives and whether or not you taste the true flavor of the tea. We also ordered a matcha bubble tea. Yes, like a lot of other people, I didn't know what it was, so when I asked, it was a strong green tea. We ordered it, and it was very strong and bitter. That might sound unappealing, but that's how it should be... real tea, cocoa, and coffee is supposed to be bitter! That's nature, people! Matcha Tea Rating: 4/5! However, the bubbles were sweet, which balanced out the matcha nicely, although it contributed to some extra sweetness to an already-sweet taro tea. The bubbles were nicely cooked, and harder than most other shops, but it's not rabbit-poo quality. For those who like numbers, I'd give the bubbles a 4.5/5 rating. Extra brownie points: although they will call the bubbles "extra", it's FREE! Yay! Other Info: I was spying around the area where they make bubble tea, and I saw, unfortunately, a lot of syrups... thus, I recommend you stick with the "Classic" milk teas in which you can't syrup (you can't "syrup" Thai tea, for instance) instead of getting "fruit" tea which would be probably pretty sweet. Also, a "small" is what would be a "regular" in other stores. It's 2.75 for a small classic drink, which is cheaper than most other stores. At last I made it back here. I stopped by Boba Mocha about a year ago before I moved here. I can't remember what I ordered then but I remember not being very impressed. My recent visits have been rather pleasant. They have booth-style seating along one side of the walls, bar-style seating against one section of the window, and 2-seater and a few 4-seater tables. Their Wifi connection/speed is a little above average for cafes. (It has its ups an downs in speed and connectivity.) You can order their Classic/Traditional drinks or Real Fruit Drinks in three different sizes: Petite ($2.99/$3.99), Slim ($3.99/4.99), Grande ($4.65/5.65), respectively. With this said, their petite size is equivalent to a regular at sweet hut. They also come with up to 3 toppings for free. I've been ordering their Jasmine Milk Tea with boba, basil seeds, and egg pudding. It has a nice jasmine flavor and I might even dare to say it is comparable to my favorite jasmine milk tea at sweet hut. The only thing I think could use some improvement is their boba balls. It's not hard at the core which is THE WORST type of boba ball in my opinion. However, it resides on the slightly mushy side. Their Snacks cost $3.75 each but they also offer a sampler platter where you can choose any 3 snack items for $9.99. I chose their Taiwanese Nuggets, Fries, and Samosas for my sampler. You can choose different flavors/seasonings for your fries (Regular, Cajun, Sweet Potato, Jalepeno, Cheese, or Garlic). I chose the garlic flavor, but I was rather disappointed when I got my fries. I was thinking it would be more garlicky, but they only sprinkle a little garlic powder for the seasoning. Their fries weren't crispy but rather soft. For my Taiwanese Nuggets, I chose their spicy seasoning and really liked that it wasn't very salty and actually had a little kick. The only thing that I found a little bothersome is it left a slight powdery flour taste/finish on my palette. I'm not sure if this has to do with their seasoning or their batter. I don't remember this with the taiwanese popcorn chicken at Sweet Hut. Although, it wasn't as prominent the second time I ordered it. Their Samosas were good but I still like Sweet Hut's samosas a little more. Their Fusion Entrees cost $6.99 which include items such as Burgers, Chicken Wings with fries, Beef stew noodle soup, Teriyaki chicken, and Japanese Curry with rice. I did not get a chance to try one of these, but it is definitely on my To-Try list for my next visit. I love that they have Daily Specials. On Tuesdays, if you buy 1 snack item, you get half off your drink. I was able to buy a snack and petite size drink for under $7. Thats a steal. Wednesdays are double stamp days!! A good way to get your free tenth drink rather quickly. Service and staff is pretty awesome here. The staff and owner are super friendly. Some places tend to underestimate this, but it really does make a difference. I found my little tush trotting down here the next day. During my first visit, one of the employees ask if I had a reward/stamp card so I don't miss out on my opportunity to get my 10th drink free. Boba mocha is a bubble tea cafe with fried snacks, ice cream, and various desserts. It just opened across the street from Walmart on p-hill, next to Aldi. Service: The workers were very courteous and fast. Drinks: I've only tasted the thai tea with grass and coffee jelly, and I loved it. It might be too sweet for some people because I tend to like all of my drinks on the sweeter side. Their grass jelly is slightly on the tougher side so it's harder to drink thru the straw. It has a harder texture than the one at snow mountain. Snacks: I've had the fried calamari with spicy mayo and sweet and sour sauces and the cajun fries. The fried calamari was sooo good with the spicy mayo sauce. I even took it home, and they were still tasty. The cajun fries were very good too. Lots of seasoning, and they pack a ton in their little chinese-looking take out containers. I'm not usually a habitual bubble tea drinker, but for some reason, this place makes me want to keep coming back for their thai tea. The thai tea is not as good as Thai restaurants, of course, but I just love having the option of putting coffee jelly in it. They also have White Windmill cookies and pastries for sale next to the registers. I bought a bag of green tea cookies, and I did not like them at all. I come here to study in the weekends sometimes, and I love Boba Mocha so much! I'm not a fan of tea or coffee, but their smoothies are so delicious here! The staff and owner are always kind which makes me feel very welcomed. The inside is well-decorated and clean, but if you're not a big fan of smaller cafes then you may not enjoy it. Personally, I don't mind since there's still a lot of seating + tables available for a single party or a group of friends. Let me start off by saying that I used a Scoutmob deal here, making 3 regular sized bubble teas less than $4 - a steal. However, I don't like the fact that I gave the cashier my phone to "use the deal" and an hour later, I get an email from Scoutmob saying "Sounds like Boba Mocha was pretty darn good".... what? I know Scoutmob prompts you to rate the place on scale of 1-whatever number, but thanks cashier, for rating your store super high when I didn't actually want to or say you could. Free false advertisement. She was nice though... I'm kind of a bubble tea junkie, and growing up in Georgia and now living in Manhattan, I think I've had my fair share of tea. I got the Thai tea with coffee jelly here and it was like, bright orange scary looking. The taste itself was okay, a little bitter, and not as good as when you get it at an actual Thai restaurant. Coffee jelly was same as any other place. My dad got the taro and my sister got the honeydew milk tea with tapioca. No complaints with dad, but he did mention that the green tea looked a bit on the orange side when they took it out of the cooler, and dad knows best! Tapioca tasted like nothing and was a bit too soft for my liking. The decor and atmosphere obviously isn't on par with Sweet Hut, but it's better than Quickly. Seriously disappointz... My girlfriend and I were in the area, and after dinner, we needed that perfecting ending. Something sweet, refreshing, with a little bit of chewy goodness. Being a frequenter of Quickly's, Sweet Hut, Kung Fu Tea and having tried many others, we wanted to try out somewhere new. Given the high marks of this place, we thought sure why not? I ordered the class milk tea and the gf ordered the thai tea. It had the looks of a good bubble tea, but the taste was... Too sweet. Not enough tea flavor. I will say that perhaps it was because we got there late (probably got there like 10:15PM when they close at 11) but I feel like all the sweetness sank to the bottom of the container and so we got all the sugary remnant. My milk tea was sweet but the thai tea was almost unbearable. My gf took a few drinks and couldn't drink it anymore. We seriously missed the ability to control the ice and sweetness at places like SH and KF. Lychee jelly was good but the boba was chewy at first but then soon started lose it's elasticity. I'm going to rate this honestly for this visit, but I am willing to give this place another shot. Boba Mocha is fantastic! Brought my boyfriend here for his first "bubble tea" experience, and the girl at the counter helped him through. Boyfriend: "I like Skittles." Girl: "Maybe you would like the rainbow jelly then?" After a few minutes, we were brought our drinks, with the owner (I think) explaining that "It took a few minutes because (they) had to go catch the rainbow." Oh how I love a place with a sense of humor! Up until now I had not experienced Rainbow Jelly, but when mixed with a Passion Fruit smoothie, it was just right for the boyfriend. Now he is obsessed, and we have been back a few times. We have not had any of the "snacks", which include taiwanese chicken nuggets and burgers, among other things...but if it is anything like the boba, I am sure it is excellent. I usually go for Thai Tea or Taro with bubbles, which are always the perfect texture. The place is small but has a warm, welcoming atmosphere and would be a great place to meet a friend or get a little work done with your laptop. I have been to boba mocha so many times since they have opened. For long time they have had scoutmob offer and yelp offer as well - I have used it so many times. But even without those deals, I keep going back to Boba mocha. Boba mocha differentiates itself from other asian cafe in the neighborhoods like Quickly and Lattea by providing more modern decor and good selection of cheap and tasty food items like burgers, noodle soups, curry laksa and desserts. I have tried most of them here, while it won't blow you out of your socks, most of these stands on it own for $6 and less. I have also tried their fish balls, salt & pepper nuggets, fried calamari and fried muhrooms! Except for their mushrooms, I like all other fried items. Of course, their drinks are quite tasty and on par with quickly's and even better than sweet hut in my opinion. The mango smoothie is one of the best - I was surprised to find out that they use real mangoes! Boba in teas or smoothies are just so good - firm but at the same time easy to eat, the way Boba God intended it to be! :) It's worth mentioning that they provide free wifi, so you either bring you laptop and study or work. Or just come with friends and play online games. It's fun to hangout here. And staff here are always very nice. Only thing is, when it's busy, it's hard to find a table to sit with your friends - the place is not big. 4 stars. read more

The cafe stands out from the rest through the menu, service, and atmosphere. The customer service is amazing at Boba Mocha. I've never been anywhere before that had such awesome staff. They bring the drinks and items out to you and they always make small talk with customers. The cafe is kinda small, but I really like the general atmosphere of the cafe. It can be crazy though during busy hours. Compared to Quickly, I much prefer Boba Mocha now. The bubble tea is amazing and the snacks you can get here are much better too. Thanks to Paul K. I finally found this little and new shop! Googlemaps directed us to Racetrac and the H-Mart plaza but as my quick tip states, it's actually across from Super Walmart. Customer service (5/5): I went with another couple of friends and my husband. We were warmly greeted by everyone there. They seem to enjoy their jobs. The owner/manager was around (I think?) and he was pretty friendly and wanted to satisfy customers - actually, all of them did. Mad props for that. :) Drinks (3/5): So I ordered the black milk tea with honey and boba (tapioca). I thought I would get the typical black milk tea but I didn't. After reading several reviews I expected that if I clarified black milk tea, I would get standard but didnt. It must have been the jasmine milk tea others wrote about. Honestly, I didn't make additional efforts to ask and clarify since I had read about this. In retrospect, maybe I should have. Anyway, the drink I received was okay. It wasn't black milk tea... It was really light (in color). I won't be ordering this drink again, My husband on the other hand got a mango smoothie (which was supposedly made with fresh fruit). This was delicious. If you're not lactose, I highly recommend it. The other couple got this as well... And loved it. The other couple ordered mango smoothie and taro. They thought the mango smoothie was awesome and the taro was too sweet (but they warned us in advance and helped make it right). Other snacks (3.5/5): We also ordered Taiwanese nuggets for $2.99 (sure the price may be subject to change in the future). My first bite was salty... However the rest were okay. They have some special flour/ for the nuggets. What was really good was the sipping sauces. I tried dipping them in ketchup, wasabi mayo, and sriracha mayo sauce (or something - it wasn't straight sriracha so my guess is sriracha mayo). They had honey mustard too but I didn't try. The wasabi mayo will be good if you like wasabi but I don't.. So I can't even be a good judge! Shout out to Scoutmob! For bringing me here. First impressions are very important. From the moment you walk in, you can tell that this place will be different from other bubble tea places. The store presentation is very well thought out. Everything seems new and very clean. It's definitely a comfortable place to hangout with friends or study. As you make your way to the counter, you can see the delicious desserts on display. The desserts are from a local bakery, but the hot meals (while they're simple) that they have are prepared in-house. Boba Mocha understands that it should focus on what it's good at and that's making delicious bubble tea. The bubble teas are delicious an the bubbles are a good consistency (not too hard, not too mushy). The prices are definitely competitive and justifiable. With all that being said, the thing that truly sets Boba Mocha apart from those other bubble tea places is its service. Overall I visit this place on a average of 2-3 times a week. When I go in I'm sure the people think oh theres that guy again. I am addicted to both milk tea and Thai tea and probably will receive an intervention at some point from friends and family, but until then you will see me there. My go to drink is the Thai tea and for my money nobody makes it better in Atlanta. The milk tea was a favorite of mine but the last time I had one it had a very overpowering tea leafy taste that I will chalk up to possibly a bad day or a new worker. I would also recommend both the mango and the strawberry mango smoothies on a hot day. My fav and really the only desert I would buy again is the homemade teramisu, its a little dry on the bottom where all the cake is but I find it very tasteful and creamy. Service For the most part service is pretty good it seems that the staff is very large and mostly high school students so the drink consistency could suffer a bit based on that fact. They always "try'' and that really all I want in customer service and they do a pretty good job of keeping the place clean. Snacks I find there choice of snacks very odd and strange, with that being said Ive heard a lot of good things about the Taiwanese nuggets, usually I go there only to drink and not to eat so I can not tell you first hand much more. Yes, there are a ton of different bubble tea and snack places in the Pleasant Hill area. Why should you come here? - Chicken Nuggets - by far the best chicken nuggets of all the places I've been to - beating out Sweet Hut, Honey Bits, Quickly's, etc. I can see and taste real chicken and it shreds like real chicken pieces. I love how spicy it can get as well. - Drinks - Prices are on the average to pricey side but they have plenty of choices and their fruit smoothies are delicious. - Wide variety of items. From bubble teas to smoothies to taiwanese snack food to meal worthy food like korean beef and rice, beef noodle soup, to bakery cheesecakes and other desserts on display, they got it all. I have to give a solid 4 mainly b/c the service is perfect. Parking - Boba Mocha is in a small strip.. sort of. Kind tucked away. It's across Wally World! But the parking is good here. It's not as big as H Mart's parking, but not as small as you think. I rarely have a tough time finding parking. I doubt this lot ever gets full... so you're good to go. Space - There are several tables/chairs around. I personally thought it was smaller, but when I walked in, it was slightly bigger than I assumed. Not a bad hangout/chill spot for post lunch/dinner. I should also note the wifi here is awesome! Never slow. Service - wow, great staff and manager. Super nice people and very good at recommending items. The manager here is cool & great. He always comes around and asks if everything is ok, BUT not in an annoying way. Which is good! Some places kind of overdue it or don't do it at all. I tried out Boba Mocha in the fall around Thanksgiving time and a few times after that. They were still relatively new and getting some things together but I think they had great customer service. The cashier was really nice and I think that definitely made the extra star difference for me personally. I'm not an expert on teas so I can't really give you a good breakdown of those. I thought they were okay. I tried a few of their snacks and I really loved the little fried chicken bites. IMO they might be better than Sweet hut's. Since I got it to-go, I wondered why they left the box open. The girl said so then it won't get condensation and stay crispy. Nice! One thing I didn't get is that I ordered 2 lunches. They include a little bit of rice, salad, and meat. The korean short ribs were delicious, but they closed off the box tightly and so the salad got warm by the time I was able to eat it. I wish they packaged the salad separately so it wouldn't get warm. If you're a big eater, the lunch will probably be a little small for you. But if you're trying portion control, this is a pretty good deal. I also like that they offer discounts, have a punch card, and around their opening they put out coupons in the Hmart parking lot. The boba tea was really good probably even better than sweet hut. And they also have more sizes and they were cheaper. with all the boba shops in suburban atlanta, boba mocha is a standout, with its high quality drinks, low prices, and impeccable service! not only does boba mocha have a TON of flavors, but all of these renditions are done remarkably well! the tea flavor is always pronounced, and they have the perfect level of sweetness for 30%. furthermore, literally NO OTHER PLACE in atlanta, and maybe even the us, will give you TWO toppings for FREE???? i remember the days when it used to be three, and i was really living the life, but two is just as great cause i only got the popping bobas back in the day cause i could. my go to now is oolong with no ice/30% sugar and lychee jellies and boba. to get all that for a 16 oz size for less than four dollars is UNHEARD of, especially since i know live in chicago where a mediocre boba tea will cost you at least 5+. also! boba mocha slaps with the snacks. they have so many, and idk if theyre good or not, but even having that variety is shakening. also! boba mocha's vibe is the perfect mix between comforting and H i P without trying to be too hard to be insta bait. the seats are so so comfortable, there's *booths* (!!!!!), and so so many boardgames that are all fun to let out some of that sugar rush. i could stay in boba mocha for hours at a time and feel like im at home (i love) so all in all, boba mocha is just..... the spot. there's no where else to be in duluth unless u want to play urself with overpriced chalky bubble tea or stale pastries. it's my reliable go to bubble tea joint, and i'll stand by it to the end !!! read more

Went here last night after dinner because they were on Scoutmob which is good enough incentive for me to try. I had the milk tea with coffee jelly and grass jelly. IMO, much much better than Quickly and similar to Snow Mountain, my personal favorite bubble tea spot but it's a little too far for me now. I also had the black cherry ice cream which I loved but my friend said it tasted like cough medicine. I still loved it. Husband had the honeydew smoothie and he said the flavor was good but it was too icy. He also had the green tea ice cream that he loved. Service was great, perhaps because they are new and wanted to be extra attentive. Restaurant space was very clean, plenty of seating to hang out inside or patio. Top 40s music was too loud for my taste. I will be back to try other menu items, especially the food. I will definitely stop by here when I'm in the area to get my milk tea fix. read more

Receive credit card including American Express with no minimum. very friendly service. they use tea instead of powders(Sweet hut, Quickly and most of stores I know use low quality powders) They also sell bakery from white mill and cheese cakes from cheese factory, I don't care but if you want one stop solution, it is good. free wifi read more

I've been quite a few times and I've always really enjoyed all the items I've gotten. My first experience was a bit off-putting (when the balls go up the straw and hit your mouth, it's a bit startling) but I have learned to enjoy it all and it's my favorite place to go get bubble tea and tea in general. My favorite part about this boba shop (besides the fact that it's a POKE STOP) is their cup sizes. XL IN BOBA? YES PLEASE. And for 4-5 bucks?! Double yes please! I tried out the milk tea boba (my standard for trying new boba shops) and I was very pleased! It was a perfect balance of black tea & condensed milk, with the boba being perfectly chewy just the way I like it. The atmosphere in the shop was also really warm & cozy, not to mention the staff there were super friendly! My friends and I stuck around and played card games for hours & we had a blast just hanging out there. If I'm ever back in Atlanta, I'd definitely want to come back here again. read more

The owner is extremely friendly. Prompt service. Clean cafe with a ton of plugs for laptop users. I like their black milk tea and green milk tea. Reasonably priced and variety of options including deserts that are outsourced from other well known places. Boba Mocha offers assorted boba teas along with different puddings, such as egg and taro pudding, Puddings offer textural contrast in your drink, so recommended if you like the chewiness of the bubbles, but want something different for a change. The matcha boba tea with taro pudding was good but not great. The same could be said for the other drinks I sampled. Overall, it's a novel concept, especially for people who live in areas where bubble tea is less available, but the execution is only slightly above average. The cashiers are really nice and helpful. They patiently explain the mixing and matching that you can do, and are very pleasant. Fair number of seating in a well-lit space for group gatherings are one of Boba Mocha's other draws. Tip: While puddings can be added to warm or cold drinks, it would be a waste to add to hot drinks since these add-ons will melt. A note to the owner: Fix that malfunctioning sink in the ladies room, please! So they have a sign that says "conserve water or the sink will leak," or something to that fact. I learned the hard way what that really means. After turning on the water to rinse my hands, I have about five seconds to get the soapy suds off before the sink leaks, releasing everything going into the sink onto the floor right below, and onto my legs and feet! Not cool! I felt bad about making such a mess, but it's not really my fault...At some point, customers will need to use the restroom, and they deserve better than this. 3.5 stars read more
