    Strawberry Matcha Latte
    Timothy C.

I stopped by for a quick drink after dinner. It looked like a nice place to relax or hang out for a while. They have an electronic screen that provides estimated wait times for each person's order. The strawberry matcha latte I ordered was pretty good and what I expected.

Was passing by metuchen and wanted to have a quick Boba tea and tried this joint . First time and I was impressed with their interiors and lots of space to sit/ drink the tea. There are also a couple of tables outside .. I loved their concept of Photo Booth . Nice and innovative . Parking is the only issue because it is tough to get parking on the streets. Ordering was easy and almost alll teas are customizable.. you can adjust the sugar qty, select different bobs styles etc. boba costed 75 cents more which could have been included in the tea price . Restrooms available . Peach Bobba tea was really good . Hibiscus with no sugar and no ice was ok. Overall liked the experience

Very happy to find a spot that's open this late on a weekday evening. My friends and I didn't want our hangout to end, and Boba Tea Time definitely offers an environment suitable for relaxing and catching up. They have board games, art supplies and even a digital photo booth. Stayed pretty much close to closing time, and the staff were friendly not to rush us out. I got the strawberry smoothie with oat milk- it was on the pricier side, around $8, but the smoothie itself was thick and not watered down at all. Not sure what their boba is like but my friend said it was good. Would recommend a visit here. that's all, ty for reading :)

Atmosphere: 5 Love the fun, laid back vibe of this tea shop. Ordering is easy at the kiosk though since there is only 1, it may have a line. I love the greenery wall and everything is tastefully designed. In the back, there is a game room and two claw games. There is an order screen there too. Seems like customers can book the room for a fee of $20. I feel like this is such a great idea, but wish there are a few more things to do in there. Portion: 5 The tea portion is one size if I remember correctly. There's definitely enough to enjoy for a while. Pretty standard large size. Flavors: 5 I love the jasmine mojito. It has a nice jasmine fragrance. If you don't like your drinks too sweet, make sure you choose 0% ADDITIONAL sweetness. The menu is a bit misleading there because usually tea places ask what sugar level you prefer, but here, it's how much more percentage ADDITIONAL sweetness you want. Cute place. I've already gone back there again. Would recommend!

The aesthetics of this boba shop resembles the ones in SoCal. With a selfie wall, photo booth (no print outs), and a game room in the back, this is a fun place to hang out with your friends. You order on the kiosk. I was super excited for the many different drink options and flavors. I settled on their Fresh Banana Brown Sugar Milk Tea at $7.19. I was shocked that toppings were .75 cents extra. I wanted mine to be made with coconut milk and that was $1.50. I forgo any toppings given how pricey it was. My drink alone was $8.69. Upon first sip, the taste wasn't to my liking. It is also not supposed to be a slushy drink. My son had chosen another drink but I convinced him to order the Fresh Brazilian Limeade. The limes made it sour and the sweetened condensed milk did not counterbalance the zesty taste. We also tried their Cold Brew Brown Sugar Coffee. It was watered down and weak. THUS THE 3-STAR RATING. My son and I wanted to play some ping pong in the back room. Not sure how much they charge but I thought I overheard the cashier telling a customer that it was $8 for half an hour. No thank you. A sign outside on the street says...BEST BOBA MILK TEAS IN NEW JERSEY. Ms. Bobalicious will have to disagree. I never really give a shop another chance if they can't wow me on my first boba visit.

This place was perfect for my friends and I to catch up! They have so many game options, parking is available in the back and the tea was good! They charge $3 to play ping pong tho. I wasn't feeling that.

A good boba spot but there are a lot more boba spots in central jersey that are worth the drive within a 5 mile radius. I was excited to try this new spot on Main St Metuchen, it's a block away from Akihi (which is our go-to in the area). We tried their Strawberry Matcha milk tea, with boba and lactose-free milk. We've had his drink at other establishments and we left a bit disappointed. There was strawberry puree in the drink but the all that disappeared when the drink was mixed. There was none of the strawberry flavor at all. It was all matcha. Hopefully I'd chalk it up to kinks during opening month and hopefully they adjust their strawberry-matcha ratio. Also, one drink was more than $9 that's one whole meal that someone can get, and this is for one drink. This price point is too high for me, even if only $2-3 more than other boba places. Not worth it with central jersey being saturated with boba spots. Photo of the order and price is shared for clarity. Interior is clean, they have a game room and some photo corners. Parking is metered. Service was friendly. I'd maybe come back here if there was no choice because the drink was decent and not bad, it's just not something that I would pay $9.20 for one drink .

nice addition to the downtown metuchen area for a hangout spot! when I went, I had gone to Akihi first and it was packed in there and seating was scarce. Boba tea time in contrast was a breath of fresh air because it wasn't as busy and there was plenty of seating at the time (it later got busier but still some seats were open). I started ordering on one of their kiosks and an employee was nice enough to ask if I needed any help. They have a reward program through Snackpass, so you can track your order and get notifications when it's done. I got the strawberry jasmine milk tea with herbal jelly. Even though I got it with 0% addl sugar, it was still pretty sweet, so this place would be good if you like things on the sweeter side. I liked that the jasmine tea flavor was strong. I would've liked if the herbal jelly was cut into bigger pieces, as the texture felt a bit minced. The milk tea did start like, separating, since the fruit reacted with the milk, but it didn't affect the taste at all. I think the big draw of this place is the variety of activities available. They had a selection of board games, a photobooth (not print outs), claw machines, ping pong, shuffleboard, and darts.

I went here on a Saturday night with a group of friends. I was excited to try this place because of their vegan options for boba tea and their oil free fries! When we walked in, it was fairly busy. A few tables had customers enjoying their tea and playing some table games that was provided by the restaurant. We walked in back to find a room which you can rent. It had a full ping pong table and people were enjoying a game. This place was truly a place to come get some tea and relax for a while with friends. Since we had a big group, the owner kindly asked some people to move over so he could put tables together for us. Some ordered and others did not since we had just come from dinner. A bunch of us women saw a Photo Booth and we had to try it! They had signs provided and different backdrops to choose from so we chose one and took two pictures! The Photo Booth was completely free which was surprising because usually things like that are a charge. I then ordered my tea a the fries. The tea was so tasty! My friend had recommended this Taiwanese jelly to add to it and I did! It made it taste so good so thankful for that! After those who ordered tea received theirs, we decided to play a game. We chose Jenga! We played about four rounds of Jenga and then we decided to go to the next adventure of the night. Raymond, the owner, was so accommodating and kind. We truly loved this tea place and will definitely come back soon!

I was a fan of…read moreYifang so I was originally disappointed when I saw that they were no longer there but decided to give this place a try. When trying a new boba place I always try both a fruit tea and a milk tea so I can get an idea whether I would like it or not. The first couple times I went there I tried the Shingen Jelly Passion Fruit Tea and the Red Bean Milk Tea Latte and they just weren't my preference so I was going to just write this place off. I mentioned to a friend who lived locally that I tried it and she said that she loved their Strawberry Matcha and that I should give it another try. Glad I did! Their Strawberry Matcha Latte is the best I ever had. The strawberry puree they use is just delicious and unique. I've actually tried purchasing it on its own to add to my own matcha at home but sadly they don't sell it separately. It's so good that I normally buy one to enjoy the same day and another for the next day but unfortunately they will not make it no ice (I've asked and explain the situation) so the second day one is not as good due to the ice melting. This is probably my most frequented boba shop lately because I'm addicted to this drink. I've come here more than a dozen times in the last 3 months. The people working there are quite nice, they always with no fail mention to shake the drink before drinking. It is clean and they haven't made too many changes from when YiFang was there. I normally order on the FanTuan app for pick up so it's quicker. Parking lot is usually packed but because I order in advance I just park in the 15 minute parking out front and run in. Not sure if I will ever try another drink from there but maybe one day!

They refuse to have any interpersonal interaction with customers. They inform the customers to use the kiosk machine instead. Cleanliness: The store is clean with no garbage or debris left on tables, chairs, floors, or near the garbage can area. Pricing: The drinks and snacks here are decent prices from $5.00 and up. Ube Coconut Vietnamese Coffee: This drink was a little different and it just did not taste great. My friend stated that he was glad he added sugar, but he felt like this drink could have been better as it was not to his liking. Mango Matcha: I have mixed feelings about this drink as it tasted a little weird. One sip it tastes a little sweet and another sip it tastes a little bitter. I think I should have stuck with some mango drink instead. Chocolate Egg Pancake: Last time we got this item it did not have any chocolate filling inside of it. It was just a regular egg pancake but chocolate looking. They perfected this with the chocolate filling inside and it definitely tastes better now. Overall: I do not think I would come out of my way just to come here to get bubble tea. If I am in this area again next time, then I may give it another try with a different drink. They should also start to communicate with their customers because some customers love to interact with people.

We ordered their slippery egg chicken rice combo with Hong Kong style milk tea with aged tangerines, a slippery egg rice with pork chop, and also baked pork chop rice with curry sauce and cheese. The slippery egg rice was on point. The eggs were silky, moist and velvety , almost custard like in texture. It was also rich and savory. I like how the chicken was lightly fried without having too much breading. They used chicken thighs so it was moist, tender and well seasoned. The fried pork chop, which was similar to pork katsu, was perfectly fried with a crispy, well seasoned crust which adhered well to the meat. The meat was juicy and succulent. The curry had a mild kick which I liked and there were also little pieces of carrots and potatoes in it. The only thing was I felt there was a little too much sauce as I felt the rice was drenched in it, which made it a little too rich for my liking. The lemon tea with aged tangerines was my favorite. The lemon tea tasted authentic. One of the best I've had including the ones I've tried in the Hong Kong style cafes in nyc. The tea flavor is intense which I can tell it's not just from a tea bag. The tea was balanced well with aged tangerines which added more citrusy and a subtle earthy flavor. The drink is bold yet refreshing. I was told they have a slushy version so I would go back to try it next time. I really like that they had 3 boba options: Brown sugar, Strawberry, and Honey. On their website there seems to be even more but they weren't advertised so maybe they weren't available at the time. The other boba listed on their website are Taro, Black Sesame, Mango, Chrysanthemum, and OneZo Triple. What we ordered: - Passion Fruit Green Tea with Strawberry Boba - Taro Sesame Milk Tea I am a big fan of the strawberry boba and both drinks were pretty good. I would definitely return to try out other things. I noticed that they also have ice cream as well There is a parking lot but it shares it with the other businesses and the apartment complex so it was limited. We snuck in a spot for "future residents". Not sure how much it is monitored but we were fine even though our drinks took a particularly long time. I think there might have been some issues with the order before us. They did apologize for the delay.

As I searched for a bubble tea shop in the area, I found this shop. I thought oh that must be new…read moresince I know that area and have never seen it before. To my surprise this shop is actually in an apartment complex. That's probably why it's a little out of the way and parking can be a concern as it's a private area. The spots near the shop all have signs on them so I am not sure if I was allowed to park there. By the register, I asked if it was okay to park there and they seemed unsure as well but said it should be fine to park and leave within the hour. It may designed in a way where you live in the complex and can just stop in without leaving the property which I have seen for a couple of these newer apartment buildings. The shop itself is fine, clean, small amount of seating. I think this may be the type of shop where I just pick up or get delivery from instead of bringing a big group to hang out for some bubble tea. I had ordered a Sesame milk tea. It was essentially a milk tea but sesame seeds were blended through it. It was gritty kinda like how red bean bobas are but not like sweet bean paste. It had that sesame seeds taste that you get from burger buns with sesame seeds on them. I wasn't sure what I was expecting but I can't say that's what it was. Maybe others like that as it's probably healthier than tapioca balls but I just was not into it. This shop online, prided itself on making their tapioca balls in house. I didn't get them cause I just wanted to try the shop and the balls were all $2+ add ons for whatever drinks I looked at. I didn't dislike coming here but I think if I come back I would order something else, probably something more flavorful
