This is more towards my recent experience here. I came on a Monday and I saw 3 people behind the counter. We got 2 drinks and waited but it was until 10 minutes in we found out it was 1 curly haired guy doing all the work and the other 2 girls were just chilling doing nothing. I don't know if the 2 girls didn't work there or not but if you are behind the counter then do something or don't be by the work area. This sucks cus this place is usually consistent. My friend and I heard about this new bubble tea shop in our area of NJ. The atmosphere: It is quiet in this bubble tea shop and is a good studying place for students. Staff: They seem friendly, but they do not greet you once you come into the store. They do thank you when you are leaving though. Pineapple Green Tea: It has some pineapple taste along with the green tea. It tastes a bit strange but I would have preferred a Mango Green Tea but they did not have any. Thai Ice Tea: My friend said these tastes OK compared to other locations. They can make this drink taste a little better than it does now. What a great find for a new boba spot in central jersey! I've been on the lookout for a good matcha strawberry boba that isn't out of this world with their price range and Cozy Tea Loft gets it right! This is their Christmas special - which I hope stays in their menu. Lychee gel, strawberry puree, coconut milk and a small bottle of matcha to pour it into your drink. We ordered their earl grey milk tea and their torched brown sugar tea as well and these were great! DoorDash and Uber eats won't allow you to change anything or request something simple (no cheese foam, no earl grey milk tea on their menu) so I had to call the store itself. The lady said they do not to it that way but she was understanding enough when I explained there wasn't an option to add "no cheese foam" and to order a simple earl grey milk tea so she took my order over the phone. This simple gesture of customer service made me bookmark this place as one of our go-tos now in the area. The boba was a good texture, with it being soft but still bouncy. I got 50% sugar, which was good for me, but I think I could've gone even a bit more less sweet. - I personally didn't like the raspberry ice tea that much, but my bf really enjoyed it. It's made with black tea and has pieces of raspberry and blueberry inside. - I like the takoyaki; it had a good amount of octopus and was creamy inside, although not very crispy. - The decor is nice, but the place is lacking ambiance/vibe. - Service is very good and the barista was very friendly. She gave us recommendations, offered a taste test when we were unsure about the sugar levels, and gave us a complimentary topping. The best bubble tea shop in the area. I got the assam milk tea with pudding for my first drink, and although it was a cost ($6-7) the milk tea is fragrant and deeply aromatic. The size is standard among all the new tea shops--it's that large skinny cup that's made of hard plastic. It's not a fake shallow flavor that some tea shops mimic real tea with, but it is authentic tea leaves brewed to perfection. 30% sweetness is sweet enough. Cozy Tea Loft serves high quality tea. Came with my family and we all enjoyed our drinks. I ordered the Taiwanese pineapple tea. A select few places in NYC also have this drink. The Taiwanese pineapple is not too sweet and only a little tart (think of the famous Sunny Hills pineapple cake flavor); it pairs really well with the green tea. Other drinks my group got were the classic Assam milk tea, which I tried and found the tea really stood out, Japanese brown sugar milk tea which has a nice balance, and mango green tea.
