This shop always has the most cutiest niche items. We have been coming off and on for years, we started the yearly recently with the Christmas ornaments and the Disney figures. It's pricey but it is expected with a Hallmark store, I've never come thinking things should be cheaper. I love this store! They are the perfect stop for a unique gift and now they offer tons of custom Bakersfield items as well, like mugs and T-shirts! My favorite item is the Tyler candle! Online order to pick up in store is not what it appears. Be very careful when ordering to review and make sure that while inventory says in store that it may auto select to ship to store which means you can walk right in and buy the item but you cannot cancel your order and the store will not return your item in store. You are required to pay the shipping to return the same item you could just walk in and buy. The morale of this story is to just shop in store don't try to buy online unless you want to risk this. Plus the ladies in the store aren't super friendly. read more

My daughter and I love this shop. There's always super cute clothes, toys, and other gifts. I have found one associate to be extremely nice and helpful though I don't know her name. I've read other reviews of people complaining about bad customer service, fortunately I have not run into this issue and I ask for help if there is no one around. read more

My absolute FAVORITE place to visit during the holidays. I've been an avid Hallmark ornament collector since birth (thanks, Mom!) and a bit of Elitism when it comes to greeting cards. Remember that commercial that showed the recipient turning the card around to see if it was a Hallmark card? Yep, that's me! Bobbi's has been an especial treat during the holidays when their store is decked out with beautiful Christmas trees, ornaments and loads of decor. The shop is quite full of items which can sometimes make navigating rough. And with all the little fragile decor items it can make my fumbly self a little nerve wrecked. Keep note if you have a very hands-on child. Bobbi's also has on-site printing which is nice for sending a large selection of cards or invites. I've had everything from my sorority bid day cards to Christmas cards printed here. Each a great experience. read more

Can't believe I've never done a review for this place! I absolutely love Hallmark! I will definitely get lost in this store for hours. They have the cutest cards and they don't only have cards here... They have tons of cute gifts, wine glasses, home decor (wall art, plaques), candles, picture frames, books, toys and so much more. They even carry Dewar's chews at this store!! I can always find the cutest things for birthdays, holidays, anniversaries, weddings, showers... You name it they pretty much got it. The store is located in a nice little shopping area where there is ALWAYS parking and the workers are always helpful. I went in this store a few minutes ago. I'll first say, they have some cute items. The reason I'm writing this review is, because of how rude the staff is. When I say rude, it wasn't anything said directly to me. It was the fact that although the store was not busy, not one staff member greeted me, spoke to me or was in any way approachable. I went in to buy some harvest items and looking for unique things. I had a few questions but after the coldness of the staff, I decided not to purchase literally due to attitude. I am instead going to drive across town to a different store and splurge. I hope this review will be read by actual staff at the store. Please remember, the customer has many choices of places to shop, and if they are coming in, you should at the least put a smile or greet them! read more

Went in to grab some Yankee candle votives to bring back to Canada. I found there to be a decent selection here and the prices were reasonable. I spent $30 which bought me around 15 quality candles and they have a pretty long burn time. The store set up is well done and service at the cash was swift. This store has an awesome candy bar off to the side complete with truffle case as well as a scrap booking area at the rear for those into that. I found this store to have a little bit more "love" poured into it in comparison to many other Hallmark stores as it is privately owned. All kinds of personalized gifts could be found here in addition to all the normal stuffed animals, cards and other trinkets. In Canada it seems they keep closing down one by one. Sad! read more

Went in the store with my friend to buy two rolls of wrapping paper and got watched the whole time, then after I purchased my items the cashier announced loudly that my stuff was now paid for. This is a very nice shop,I'll give them thumbs up for that but some of the staff is rude there is No Customer service with a smile. We went in to get few cards and ended up finding some cute things for Christmas and I asked if they have a Military discount ? I was told we only do that on Tuesday. I said so I can return theses items on Tuesday and re-purchase and get Military discount YES. that's No way to do busy. If I lived around the corner I would have returned items an got my Military discount.but I live 40 miles from here. We try an support local but when you deal with a business like this it like what's the point? The store is well maintained and full of great gifts, home items and cards. However, I was very disappointed in the rude stares and treatment of our family in store today. Our family was shopping for a card and gifts for our ailing family member. My husband and I, and our three well behaved children, were excited to look around. However the employees were snobbish and rude. My husband noticed this as well. Are we not welcome as a family? We weren't loud and we don't let our children touch anything without asking. We made a hasty purchase and left to find a gift elsewhere. Staff need to smile, treat everyone with respect and be gracious and courteous. At least, that's how I've raised my children. read more

I'm highly disappointed... RUDE customer service!!! From the moment I walked in the door, I felt unwelcomed. (I even had a worker following me around not trying to engage in conversation or anything... A simple "Hello, Can I help you find anything?" would've made all the difference!! Nope!! She was just watching me as if I was about to steal something) This is a shame because I used to enjoy coming & shopping here. Not anymore!!! This has happened several times in the last year or so, so this isn't my first experience of rudeness or just feeling unwelcomed. The workers always treat me as though I don't belong in their store. Bobbi's Hallmark saved me this Christmas! I now know where Santa's elves send all the gifts they make! I am so glad I happened to drop in before heading out to the Marketplace or the dreaded Valley Plaza. I wandered around this store until I was able to cross everyone off my list. I purchased gifts for 8 people of varied ages; both adults and children. I even picked up a couple items for myself. I couldn't resist! They have the store neatly organized in themed sections. They have cute jewelry and unique clothing items as well. Also if you are looking for a unique greeting card--like a pet loss sympathy card for example, they have it. I like this place alot and I really don't like shopping for cards. One of the things I like is all the ornaments they have right now, some of them are really cute especially the Charlie Brown collection. This is Maricel P's go to place for any card for a birthday, graduation, anniversary, you get it! Some of the products can seem pricey but they are quality products. The Willow Tree statues are beautiful and amazing, you cannot help but be drawn towards them. They also sell Dewars chew candies which is awesome so if you are in the mood and do not want to drive to their actual locations, you can grab some right here. Wasn't greeted. I spent a good 20 minutes or so looking for cards. 3 employees walked passed me & not one person said hi. Terrible customer service. I still bought cards because I really needed it. Is it really that hard to say hi? They don't even have to go all out. Heck, you can even give me a nod, maybe even a wave. It wasn't busy either. Aside from the bad service, they have tons of stuff here. You can find gifts for just about everyone. There's so much stuff that you're not sure where to look or where to start. There are not many Hallmark locations around anymore. I believe that Bobbi's is one of only two Hallmark shops left in Bakersfield. As should be expected, they have a large selection of greeting cards for all occasions. I've always found just the right card here that says just the right message for which ever occasion is needed. I am from Santa Barbara and was in town visiting family. Stopped in to pick-up some Christmas cards, and had probably the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The girl working inside didn't even acknowledge my presence and after a few minutes of looking at cards, I noticed I was being watched like I was trying to steal something. On the little bit of a pricey side but definately has a better selection than anywhere else. They have a huge selection of cards and gifts and even decent candy selection in the back. This place has been open for years and will always be a place to go for a nice gift for Mothers Day or a birthday. Walked in here to purchase graduation cards. There are so many things to see and buy... It was hard walking out with just cards. They have candles, home decorations, clothing, etc. I was just supposed pop in and out of here, so 20 minutes later my husband had to call my cell phone and tell me we have other things to do.tiday... How disrespectful and discriminatory is this place? so bad i had to make a yelp and google account to review it. The ladies who work here are white and followed me all around the store as if I was poor and had to steal from them. If you're not white they automatically think you're poor and you're gonna steal from them. Horrible experience! I was in the area and was so excited to take my kids. They are 7 & 9 and we're very calm looking through the store. We were being creepily watched the whole time. No greetings, just cold stares from between aisles and items. Very weird. When we went to pay for the beanie babies they wanted, the lady radioed "the kids holding the toys have paid for them and are leaving". Super weird. As I left I was watched by 2 more employees, one was by the door and stared at me from behind something. No goodbye or thank you. I will never go back. read more

I usually shop at Bobbi's Hallmark and purchase great cards, but due to today's experience, I'm only giving them 1 star because of their customer service. My daughter is 35 weeks pregnant and while we were shopping said she needed to go to the bathroom. We walked to the counter and asked if she could use their bathroom and the employee said no they don't have one, but there's a bathroom next door. I seriously doubt she was being truthful about not having a bathroom in their store. I quickly looked for the cards I had to purchase and checked out. Bobbi's Hallmark is a beautiful store that sells cards, clothing, Christmas ornaments, and all kinds of presents. Unfortunately the staff there are cold and unfriendly. I went there three days in a row, and purchased cards and clothing. When I was talking to two ladies at Office Depot they said their experience was the same as mine. I wonder if the staff are underpaid, micromanaged, or just irritable! It is a shame to go to a lovely store during the month of December and be greeted by such awful staff. I would recommend that the owners/managers train their staff to smile and be courteous instead of frowning at patrons. read more

I didn't even want to give 1 star, it wouldn't save otherwise, I went to take store credit or exchange with something else because the jeans I bought is more than 30 days. I really like that Jean, same size with the usual brand that we buy from the mall. So I tried to put on but couldn't put the button, love the bell bottom jeans. I really want a size above. I pulled the tag out thinking it would fit, but the tag was still with me on my hand, one of the manager an older blonde lady said the tag has to be on so they cannot give store credit or exchange it. I was so disappointed. The plastic thing that the tag tied was still on that Jean accept for the paper. Last year I bought many things during Christmas from this store along with the jeans. Now I feel I should not have bought from this store. I do understand people might exchange after wearing it. This was not the case. I would never go back to this store.
