At 1:17pm another man knocks on door, so she lets us in. I ask, "is the doctor actually here?" Get a "yes". Checkin process is "mandated online in advance" with co-pay paid in advance. At 1:45pm back to reception and remind them had a 1pm appt, ask if any reason for delays? Doc is there, not tied up at hospital for example, just after lunch hour. Within minutes get put in a room, where I sit for another 30 minutes before walking out and calling for copay refund. This is the 2nd time in a row with an hour or more wait after appt time, for no apparent reason. Changing doctors. Also, overall regarding surgery phases, poor setting of expectations for what was coming or experiences, like no setting of expectations, many times thought, "he could have prepared me", and difficult to reach when facing concerns, then would suddenly appear at odd hours when asleep and be gone again before I could remember all the concerns.

They have a call center that runs a back office for the staff and doctors for prescription refills, follow ups, and appointments, done with just a phone call! When nessesary accelerated specialist referrals are given also. And they know your insurance, and will work with them... so you can concentrate on your care. No worrying about follow ups, prescriptions, or the dreaded out-of-network billing nightmares. Its a very simple seamless managed Health care experience at its best, right here in NB! 5 stars! Was having pain in my right arm so decided to go to Neurology Clinic of Central Texas. Boy what a…read moremistake!! I called the office to see what it would cost to have a test done on my arm. They told me i would need a nerve conduction test which i said was fine but wanted to know what would be my cost of procedure. I told the receptionist if it was going to be a lot out of pocket i was not going to set appointment. They told me they would get with my insurance and call me back. They never called back and i had to call them once again. Once i called back and she said they never called my insurance but would check again. This time they did call me back and told me my cost would be $110. I agreed and made appointment. Went to appointment ran the test and 3 weeks later get a bill for $422.07. I call office to find out why i was charged more than they told me and could not have been met with more resistance and rudeness than i could have ever anticipated. I spoke to one receptionist who had zero answers and then was transferred to another lady who picked up the phone already ready to be nasty. There were other charges for tests that were not done on my invoice and instead of looking into it for me she told me that was my bill and there was nothing she could do. Her attitude was unbearable and so unprofessional!! Then i asked her about a $350 charge on my invoice for Office-New-Comprehensive and she told me that was a charge for the doctor having to read my medical files that were sent over. I didn't have any medical files sent over!! When i told her this she started to read what was on the file and it was what i told the doctor of my symptoms once he arrive in office. Then the women on the phone says yes that's what i said it was for. I told her that is not at all what she said. I told her she said it was for reading files that were sent over from another doctor and she couldn't even respond. Amazing that she can just change her story to fit her narrative. I can't understand how this Dr. office is just trying to make up charges. Is there no more integrity left in this world with doctors and their staff? Around then she told me she didn't have time to explain my invoice and that i needed to take it up with my insurance. Again, i just can't believe this women is in charge of anything much less a doctor's office where people really do need assistance. Doctor's offices have become such a scam and this office is no different and being a business owner myself i feel that the overall culture of businesses starts with the person at the top who would be the Dr. Davis. I hope he knows how his employees treat his patients and the response they receive when trying to ask very reasonable, honest questions. Oh, i also forgot to mention when my questions became very logical and the receptionist had zero answers to why i was overcharged she just hung up on me. Crazy that the medical industry treats patients the way they do once they know they have completely overcharged you with fictional procedures and ridiculous charges such as a $350 charge for telling the doctor my symptoms. It's sad that the patients who pays these employees checks are treated as a vehicle to run their scam.

I've been trying to see this in any way that would not make this "ER" look as terrible as it is. I have been unsuccessful. I'll make this as short as possible. My wife went in for severe stomach pain around midnight. She searched ER and this place was closest. They even have an EMERGENCY ROOM sign. She was placed in a room, nurse asked a few questions, then was left alone. A biller or front desk lady came in and said they know what it likely is but needed $800 before they could even say what she was paying for. She took my wife's cc (while shes crying in pain) and left. Card declined 3 times so she came in and asked for another. Baffled as to why an emergency room was holding life saving information hostage behind a paywall, I gave her the address to the actual hospital when she called me asking for $800, in pain, panicking, and sobbing. My wife left and drove to Christus Santa Rosa. There we learned her appendix was about to rupture. She had surgery that same morning. Something we paid for with heartfelt thanks. This Urgent Care let my wife leave without recommending she immediately go to the hospital, or asking if they could call someone, or helping in any way. If they would have done even that much i would not be writing this now. For all they care she could've died in the parking lot. We understand this is a business. They may have improved in the 5 years since this took place but I wont be risking my family here. This is a place you go to when your Dr. is unavailable. This is not a place to go if you're in an actual emergency.
