Which could be a reasonable question for some but my symptoms had no correlation to diabetes and his tone of voice let me know that this is not the place where im going to seek the help i may need. I hope to speak with someone that can help me get this doctor out of office, including the other 2 ladies that were there as well but im not exactly sure how. She had a bully-like personality, was very rude, and tried to discharge my girlfriend before she could confirm she was able to safely empty her bladder after her hysterectomy. Even after multiple requests, Jennifer refused to let her walk or assess stability. She said it was more important for the hospital not to have a fall for liability, but implied that a fall at home was acceptable. This bully-like behavior was rude and unsafe, and I hope the hospital addresses it, as the rest of the team was otherwise excellent.

This is not a review written in the days or weeks following an emotional experience. It is the result of years spent reviewing records, filing grievances, & seeking explanations for decisions that changed our lives forever. Shortly after my daughter's birth, while I was recovering from a C/S, heavily medicated, exhausted, & physically unable to advocate for myself, the attending neonatologist asked my mother & mother-in-law to leave the room before discussing my newborn's condition. Both are RNs, and my mother-in-law is a former Director of Obstetrics. They were the people I trusted most in that moment. Once they were removed, I was told that my newborn had suffered brain damage. I was alone when I received that news, which changed my life. Looking back, I don't believe we were able to provide informed consent. Critical discussions occurred while I was recovering from major surgery, medicated, & separated from my support system. More troubling, records later documented this discussion as occurring w/both parents at the bedside. That is not how I remember those events, nor how they were witnessed by others present that day. The diagnosis & transfer recommendations appeared to rely heavily on a cord blood gas result showing a pH of 6.9. We later learned the specimen reportedly remained uniced for over an hour before processing. That raises serious questions about a result central to life-altering medical decisions. A subsequent ABG reportedly showed normal results, yet we weren't provided a satisfactory explanation for how those findings were reconciled with the initial result or the decisions that followed. What followed was a delayed helicopter transfer, cooling therapy, separation from our newborn, enormous medical bills, & years of emotional trauma. Although we were told the situation was a medical emergency, the events that followed left us with many unanswered questions. The helicopter transport was delayed for several hours. During that time, our daughter appeared stable, maintained normal VS, required no oxygen support, & did not appear to require ongoing emergency intervention or critical care. We have photos showing a calm, alert baby sucking her thumb & maintaining normal VS. We were being told to prepare for catastrophic brain injury while observing a baby who appeared alert, responsive, & clinically stable. That disconnect is something we have never been able to reconcile. Despite being her mother, I didn't meet my daughter until she was preparing to leave & didn't get to hold her until days later. I watched my newborn be transported away before I was ever given the opportunity to know her. The hospital had our daughter for days. We have spent years trying to understand why. As we obtained records, we found discrepancies, missing documentation, & inconsistencies. We repeatedly requested records. Even after multiple requests, much of my daughter's records were withheld. To this day, questions about the blood gas sample, documentation discrepancies, informed consent, conflicting records, & missing records remain unanswered. Hospital leadership, patient advocates, risk management departments, & regulatory agencies have all had opportunities to answer straightforward questions. Instead, we were repeatedly given conclusions without explanations. Time & again, responses sidestepped the questions we raised rather than address them directly. Families place extraordinary trust in hospitals. We expect accurate records, informed consent, transparency, & accountability. Our experience left us believing otherwise. If you are reading this review, ask questions. Request records. Keep copies of everything. Don't assume that concerns will be thoroughly investigated simply because they are raised. 2 years later, we still don't have answers. We have records, photos, timelines, & witnesses. What we don't have are explanations. Some families give up. We won't.

Checking your insurance only happens Monday to Friday. Not good, I'm paying for a service not knowing if I'm covered. The second reason was that a group your size should have Point of Care lab instruments that are CLIA Waived onsite. PCR results are available within minutes and during an office visit. Check out your competition, I.e. TexasMed Urgent Care. They do, and were able to tell me my insurance wasn't covered by them anymore. I asked can you suggest anyone else, lucky for you they mentioned FastAid. Let's get some POC Confirmatory testing in office and I'll amend my review adding that 5th Star!!

I had a CT of the head and radiology tech explained everything including the odd feeling with the contrast i would be receiving. I was admitted to Christus Santa Rosa hospital for further testing. I will always go to this ER because of the wonderful care I received.
