Dr P. Williams. Repeated poor service for office visits. Arrived for 1pm appt, found note on door "closed lunch 12-1pm", people waiting can see reception person through door. At 1:17pm another man knocks on door, so she lets us in. I ask, "is the doctor actually here?" Get a "yes". Checkin process is "mandated online in advance" with co-pay paid in advance. At 1:45pm back to reception and remind them had a 1pm appt, ask if any reason for delays? Doc is there, not tied up at hospital for example, just after lunch hour. Within minutes get put in a room, where I sit for another 30 minutes before walking out and calling for copay refund. This is the 2nd time in a row with an hour or more wait after appt time, for no apparent reason. Changing doctors. Also, overall regarding surgery phases, poor setting of expectations for what was coming or experiences, like no setting of expectations, many times thought, "he could have prepared me", and difficult to reach when facing concerns, then would suddenly appear at odd hours when asleep and be gone again before I could remember all the concerns. read more

I had to go for an enlarged prostate with a UTI. I was nervous about going in to see what happened to me. Laura was my nurse, she was the Best. She made me feel so much better and answered all my questions. She even took my call today about an additional question I had. She is the very best at her job. I had to undress from the waist down. He did not tell me what he was going to. He shoved a speculum in my vagina. It really hurt. I told him I had a spinal surgery and was on pain medication so be gentle. Luckily I don't need treatment....... Tell your patient what you are going to do. Don't shove things And tell them what is going on. read more

Dr. Donahue is interested in your problem and offers suggestions to make your situation better. He listens and offers solutions to help you. I had overactive bladder and he has helped that situation completely. His staff has been friendly and professional. I definitely recommend his care. read more

Went to a scheduled appointment with Dr. Patrick Williams in San Marcos. Did the check-in on my phone 30+ minutes prior, responding to THEIR text. I get there and the receptionist tells me they called me three times on the 29th of December and left me 3 messages. One call from them, no messages. Asked about the pre-check-in "I don't know anything about that". Referred by VA in September, received authorization in November, scheduled in late November. Mid-day appointment on my only day off, this week. I specifically requested Williams as he had my records from previous procedures. Receptionist was unapologetic. Never again. read more

I do not recommend Comal Urology... Due to Dr. Patrick Williams doing an unsanitary prostrate biopsy on my husband last November 2018. He almost died, was in the hospital for 13 days with kidney and liver failure due to sepsis. He will now always have kidney damage. Kidney's will be damaged the rest of his life- only functioning at 52%. Please research Doctors before any procedure! read more

Dr Williams staff is incompetent, they can't schedule appointments correctly, won't call back for messages. And they proceed to laugh in your face when you show up to an appointment they made and tell me the DR isn't even working. So they made a mistake & instead of apologizing for it, she tells me she didn't make the appointment it's not her fault and laughs in my face while on the phone with the other office. Dr. Freiha diagnosed my IC that is hard to diagnose. He spends extra time taking care of me and has always been patient.

I will honestly never recommend Comal Urology to anybody I know, I went in to be seen for kidney stones and for one, Dr. Williams did not explain anything to me at all, he suggested that I get surgery to remove them, which I did because I couldn't pass them on my own, however he did not explain anything to me, what I could expect, how to take care of myself after surgery, nothing. I never got a post op call. Then I go in for a follow up after surgery and they have me waiting for 30 minutes just to see Dr. Freiheight who only spent literally 2 minutes with me and couldn't even tell me WHAT KIND OF STONES THAT I HAD. I work in the medical field and I know how I should be treated as a patient and this place could care less about their patients. They are obviously there just for a paycheck.
