I came in as a walk in on April 10th. The woman up front was welcoming an accommodating, and has a warm personality. Wish I remembered her name. Anna tended to me, and she was deeply empathetic, thorough, sweet and kind. She brought my stress level down to a one and I felt so acknowledged and seen. Did I go see a medical professional or a soul healer? Update: It's now April 25th and I've put the treatment process out of mind. I casually and absentmindedly touched my treatment areas. I took myself and my son to this newly mushroomed health company of supposed dermatologists. I went in for a simple discoloration of a toenail to check and see if it was a fungal infection. My son was in for simple mild acne. We were not seen by medical doctors- but by a physicians assistant- then I was charged as if it was seen by a full MD! Pure fraud. In fact, the PA made me take a nail clipping on my own- he refused. That should have been my red flag. As I am writing this, I am on the phone dealing with harassing bills the Derm Specilsists keep sending me . Between my copay and the insurance coverage, we have paid them over $500. And they still want more for services with misidentified providers. Over $230 bill more for a negative from the lab and a trial tube of Tretonoin. Do not use them for your medical needs. Go to a proper doctor at a hospital. I made the mistake of thinking this minor issue could be dealt with locally and at a new place with ease. What a dupe. read more

I have the a lot of bad experiences with doctors but this place was the worst. My first time there and there was no privacy, sitting in the room I could hear everything everyone outside the room I was in was saying. An Asian lady walked in screaming at me , I asked her to lower her voice because I didn't want other people to know about what I was talking about, I felt unsafe and scared I couldn't even speak to her so just grabbed my coat and leave. Do not see NOELIA CILLI at this location. Apparently she works there at the Crown Heights location on tuesdays, wednesdays and fridays as of january 2025. I would, however, recommend her coworker, Meghan Hileman with raving reviews. Meghan is intelligent, kind, patient, informative, and very skilled at her job. Meghan is only in the Crown Heights location on Tuesdays and it's worth it to see her, but only if you get her! On the other hand her peer, noelia cilli was to be following up with me in the absence of Meghan since she only works on Tuesdays, Meghan specifically told me to follow up with other workers in the office if I had any questions regarding a chemotherapy topical treatment I was undergoing. Obviously that's a pretty intense treatment and some concerns came up. Noelia insisted that the visit would not be covered by my insurance, which, by the way is a sign of incompetence. That is simply not true. And when I stated that I had no concern about my insurance covering it, she refused to see me unless I would pay out-of-pocket. That is unacceptable, ignorant, rude and shows no compassion or skill set on her part . There was another time I had gone to the office, and I had the same experience where they insisted that my insurance wasn't going to cover the visit because I had been there recently. By the way, Medicaid absolutely covers two visits in a row. Even for the same issue. And I had overheard the staff say why is she here? She was just here the other day. They should not be talking about their patients like that. It's so ignorant Judgmental to make an assumption about why somebody is there without even seeing them. And that was right before I had been prescribed a cream for a potential pre-cancerous lesion. So obviously the reason I was coming was important. Moral of the story is, I really wouldn't even bother coming to this place unless you come on a Tuesday and you see Meghan hileman snd in that case I would actually recommend her more than most Dermatologists read more

I came here twice. I had the same medical assistant twice, who doesn't appear know anything about medicine, skin, dermatology. I was given a prescription, had to put my pharmacy info on the intake forms, as well as to the medical assistant again when going over medical history before seeing the PA. When I went to pharmacy 2 days later, they had no prescription for me, it was never called in. When I called the doctor office, they again asked me for pharmacy information, and told me it would be called in in a few hours, because there's a "process" for prescriptions to be called in. I'm not sure where the information went the first two times I provided it. The first experience didn't deter me enough from giving it a second try. The second time, I had to wait 45 minutes after my appointment time, had the same medical assistant who asked me questions I felt should be basic knowledge for one working in a dermatology office, and then I hear the PA and whoever else standing outside the door talking about upcoming vacation, where they parked their car, and complaining about having to do a skin cancer screening on me, all while sitting uncomfortably in the room in one of those paper robes. like I'm sorry for coming into a dermatologist and asking you to do a dermatologist thing? And interrupting your socialization. Again, this was after I had been waiting 45 minutes past my appointment time. Everyone else who came in the same time as me and even someone who came after had already come and left. I would definitely recommend trying somewhere else. read more

I have a wonderful time every visit to this dermatologist. I've been going for 4 years now and I never have a problem. They're very professional and friendly, they are welcoming and have a nice, warm waiting room with free waters, TV, etc. I go for an annual visit and they always take their time during my annual checkup to make sure everything is normal and looks all right. They don't skip anything or rush, and I think they really care about my health. They listen to my concerns and answer all of my questions, which is not typical for doctors anymore, usually you're ignored or they brush over your questions. I'm always happy when I leave and feel as though all of my problems were addressed. They also are professional and appropriate when performing surgeries/procedures. All of my procedures have been quick and painless. They ensure that the local anesthesia lidocaine is working. Then, the removal of problem sites takes less than 2 minutes. Beforehand, they explain all of my options. They also take the time to explain everything they're going to do so there's no worry about what's going on. Nothing is a surprise. Everything heals quickly and without issue. Also, they give a courtesy call the next day and make sure that everything is going well, which I consider very nice. The medical professionals and the front desk work with me every time to make sure the procedures and appointments are affordable. They check with my insurance and tell me what the prices will be. They're also fair on how long it takes for me to pay my co-pays and never bother me. I just feel very comfortable coming here and am always pleased. I suggest trying this office if you need a new dermatologist. I haven't visited the other locations, but if they're similar, I imagine they have a great medical staff, clean office, and friendly, knowledgeable team. read more

2 stars for finally giving me the right cream for my eczema after seeing other dermatologists. Minus 3 stars because this entire company is unorganized as hell and last time I saw the doctor they were confused and asked if I'd been there before. Yes, I remember you doctor, you told me to use this specific cream, etc. They finally realized that yes, I'd been there before. The office the first time I went was packed full of patients and there was no seating available - I had to sit on a windowsill and wait an hour for my appointment. The final straw for me not coming back was when I scheduled a Vbeam laser appointment for my rosacea and they didn't book me for laser, just a doctor's visit at their Downtown Brooklyn location (where the laser is). So I wasted a ton of time for nothing. They didn't even tell me that I needed a consultation with the doctor that uses the laser and I'd have to pay upfront for this consult, which would apply to the cost of the laser. I got a call later that whoops! I didn't make it to my appointment and they could reschedule. I had enough and canceled all of my appointments and will never return. read more

Had an appt with them recently. Everyone at reception was great and so was the assistant who saw me before the derm. The derm came in and stood for the five minutes she spoke to me. They seemed to be in a rush. As a result, I felt like I was being rushed and quickly rattled off the questions I had. They were all given very short answers in medical terms I did not understand. Usually, when a doctor does this they'll explain what they're referring to. This was not that. The derm simply said "Oh, it could be (insert medical term here)" without any explanation as to what it may be. I had to ask for clarifications multiple times. In the end, I got a prescription for something that should have been filled the day of. It wasn't. I had to call back to get it filled. Not seeing this derm again. read more

I had an appointment at Bushwick office 10/27/21 and was unhappy with visit. I called her Dr and she did not correct me that she wasn't a doctor. She is a NP which I don't have a problem with. She came no where close to me to check mole on my forehead. She did not touch or look close at anything else I was talking to her about. She ordered medication and then said a few more words than left. I was not able to ask about the meds ordered which could react with meds I am taking. I will not be taking the medication and will never use their business again. Also they only give a (212) number and do not give telephone number to the different offices, they call themselves and every time no one answered at the Bushwick office. I have been calling for a week to speak to her~no call back yet. Irresponsible especially since medication can be life or death. read more

If you care about your health, DO NOT GO HERE. My entire experience dealing with this practice - from the receptionists, to the Physicians Assistant who took my biopsy, to the in-house lab technician that took ONE MONTH to test my sample, for a condition that is time sensitive........ from start to finish, has been an absolutely mess. I was told I would receive my biopsy two weeks. My follow-up appointment was cancelled FOUR times because my results were not ready until a month after my biopsy was taken. In addition, every time the appointment was cancelled, I found this out because I called the office to confirm if my results were ready. Never once did I receive a call or e-mail, telling me my appointment needed to be pushed back since the results were not ready. If I didn't already have a bad feeling about the practice, and didn't call in advance, I would have traveled an hour to be told this information once checking in. The icing on the cake - this place can't even get it together to send my medical documents to another office, so that I can receive treatment from a more reliable dermatologist. When I called to check in today, I was told it would take 2 weeks - JUST TO HAVE THEM FAX OVER MY MEDICAL DOCUMENTS. What kind of........... In conclusion, people's health is not at joke. If you feel it is in any capacity, please don't work in the health care profession. Because of this office's negligence, my condition has gotten worse. I am looking into whether this qualifies as malpractice. Bobby Buka - I understand having chain of practices is a lucrative business. But until you can ensure your patients quality care, maybe you should start off with a smaller operation. Because you should be absolutely embarrassed by every facet of this operation. read more

Waste of money! Don't go here! My birthmark just got worse after the laser. I do NOT recommend this place. I had an initial consultation with dr buka who identified my birthmark as a cafe au lait and recommended laser. Before that, he took a sample of my skin and stitched it up. Firstly, the sample he took left a scar on my skin (on top of my birthmark). I went to the Greenwich village lab the next week to get laser done on a test spot (medium sized square) at tip of my birthmark. A month later, I am extremely disappointed with the results. The square test spot became much darker than the initial state of my birthmark. Laser was supposed to get lighter and NOT darker? Right? The doctor said there was nothing she could do. Sometimes the lasers at the lab do NOT work! Instead she prescribed with an inflammation cream to make the test spot lighter and return to my original color of my birthmark. Of course, i had to pay for this cream to bring my birthmark back to its original state. After spending almost $700, I will tell you NOT to go here. They have limited laser machines that may or may not remove your birthmark. I wish they could tell me this before I spent all that money. I would NOT recommend this place at all. My experience with this docs office has been terrible. I was seen by Deanna Rosenburg who was extremely late for my first appointment. I came in with concerns for an ingrown hair that became infected and needed the sac removed so it would stop coming back. I told Dr. Rosenburg this and she seemed skeptical of what I was saying. I had to repeat to her multiple times what the problem was. She gave me an antibiotic and scheduled me to meet with her in two weeks for a follow up to schedule with a plastic surgeon. Two weeks go by and i show up for my 9am appointment only to be told by the staff that Dr. Rosenburg called in that morning and that I would have to see a different provider or reschedule. NO ONE called me to tell me the Doctor would not be there, even after I confirmed the appointment 3 other times the day before AND that morning. It was extremely inconvenient for me as i had to shift my whole schedule to make that appointment. So I rescheduled for the following week. When I arrived the next week, the office tries to tell me my insurance was expired, which it was not, and had me call the insurance, when this is definitely something they could have done BEFORE I arrived. Insurance gets figured out (it was never expired) and the doctor is running behind again. 2 hours later I am seen by Dr. Rosenburg. She didn't read my file or notes, she had no idea why i was there and once again DID NOT BELIEVE ME that I had an infected ingrown hair. She kept trying to say I had a cyst (some condition where cysts are all over your body) yet I KEPT informing her, i had no other cysts, and this was an ingrown hair, and the sac needed to be removed so it would stop coming back. She then agrees, and prescribes me a wash and lotion (that does nothing) and promises to send a referral to the surgeon for the sac to be removed. Ensuring i would receive a phone call. I left knowing I wouldn't receive a phone call. And I did not. i waited a week. I finally call THEM, following up about the referral and they take a message. I get a phone call the next day about scheduling an appointment to remove a cyst......... I am extremely annoyed, that for some reason this Dr. refuses to believe my own story of what happened to me. As if I am incapable of recognizing and ingrown hair. So I had to then, correct the surgeons office on what the surgery was actually for. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. They are unprofessional and Dr. Rosenburg specifically will not listen to what's actually wrong with you. nor will she follow up with you, nor will she reschedule or tell you if she needs to cancel. Felt very rushed and doctor I saw (H. Stratton) had EXTREMELY POOR bedside manners. She was condescending, calling me 'sweetie,' and after I stepped out of the room heard her make offensive remarks to her peers. I was looking for advice on recent breakouts and she took one look at me and diagnosed me with Rosacea, telling me I drink too much caffeine (I don't). She provided no comfort on treatment options or preventative actions and shared minimal insight as to what the condition actually is or the various types. I would absolutely not recommend seeing this doctor and believe she should not be practicing, truly cannot imagine how she respectfully treats other patients. read more

I visited with Dr. Okereke. I had high hopes for this practice because of its convenient locality to work and home, and some promising reviews. Unfortunately, I was greatly disappointed. Reception and nurses were fine, but the Dr was extremely dismissive to me and my skin conditions. After being directed to disrobe and don an examination robe, the Dr. didn't even examine my skin fully. I told her I had eczema on my torso, legs, hands, and feet. She briefly glanced at my forearms and appeared to be frustrated with me (?!), stating that my eczema wasn't flaring up at that very moment so there was little she could do (?!). (My feet, arms, and torso all had patches of dry skin). She suggested I take photos of areas when flared up. She even suggested I visit my previous Derm. Dr. at NYU, saying they were very good (??). It was clear she had no interest in treating me. Honestly, I felt like just walking out of there. I will never go back to this place or any of their locations based on this Dr. I will note that by the end of the brief visit she gave me some samples of a newly suggested cream. Then she offered to fill a prescription for me via their pharmacy. She said my pharmacy might not fill it. My impression was that they are a dermatology office interested in cosmetic dermatology. I had insurance, but that was probably not an incentive for them. I really can't explain beyond that. I CANNOT recommend this place to anyone. read more

This location is conveniently located not too far from my home (it's a block down from the Nostrand Avenue stop on the 3 train) which is a plus on top of the friendly staff and tidy office. They offer complimentary water and seltzer while you wait. They are also very accommodating with appointments. I had completely forgotten an appointment I set during the same week and called to inform them I would not make the appointment time, but if possible could come in that day for whatever they had available and they were able to squeeze me in. I noticed that depending on the day you go you may be seen by a doctor or a PA which is fine by me. I have been seen by a PA (Kara) in my first few visits and she was very knowledgeable; I was also seen by Dr. Singh. I am so happy to have found this dermatologist office as my previous dermatologist office did not do the annual blood work that is necessary when treating a patient with biologics amongst other hiccups ... Will not be returning to see Dr. Haleh Stratton again. I went to this office for the second time a couple weeks ago, after seeing a fairly competent and careful doctor in the same office back in 2019, just to check on a few things. From the start of the appointment I felt uneasy: the intake nurse couldn't answer fairly simple questions I was asking about the structure of a normal skin screening/exam (what was included, what would be at an additional cost) and to make matters worse, during intake another nurse kept walking in and out of our room, leaving the sliding door to the room ajar, while Dr. Stratton's nurse was asking me personal questions about my medical history. Bizarre and extremely unprofessional. After the nurse was done processing my information, she informed me that Dr. Stratton would be in shortly and left the room. About a minute later, while still sitting in the room, I heard the nurse I had just seen, Dr. Stratton, and others (maybe another doctor or nurse) talking LOUDLY about something I had shared during intake. Not only did the nurse relay incorrect information about what I had shared, but over the course of this incredibly inappropriate and insensitive overheard conversation, the doctor, who I had yet to meet, said something along the lines of "well, she doesn't know what she's talking about--why would she do that? these patients really don't know what they're talking about, so you have to ask more follow-up questions." I was in shock! After wrapping up her minutes-long roast, Dr. Stratton came into the room and spent all of 2 minutes with me and barely got close enough to me to actually do any sort of skin screening. I couldn't believe how rude she was. I don't normally write reviews like this, but I sincerely hope no one has to have a similar experience with Dr. Stratton. I left feeling deeply disappointed and disrespected. I'll certainly be seeking out a different doctor/office next time! read more

I wasnt even asking for birth control. She told me that treating from the outside is better than treating it from the inside . I went to see Haleh Stratton today for the first time and it was the worst experience I've ever had at this location. She had the nastiest attitude ever and acted as if my asking her basic questions was a terrible inconvenience. She clearly has no training in bedside manner. Before seeing her, I had seen Michael Rubio and Luke D'Agostino and they were both thorough, professional, and personable. Unfortunately, this practice seems to have a high turnover rate, so you're pretty much never seeing the same practitioner on a regular basis. I don't know where Michael works now, but apparently Luke is at their Harlem location. If I could've foreseen the outcome of this visit, I'd have gladly made the trek to Manhattan to see Luke. Do yourself a favor and try to see him. Don't waste your time with Haleh. She's awful. read more

I saw the Physician's Assistant Haleh Stratton at the Brooklyn branch on Eastern Parkway. She was very rude throughout the appointment and she didn't answer my questions. I came in for skin redness and asked about how to apply the medication she prescribed into my routine, and she instead told me that she doesn't recommend any of the products that I was using, although she never asked and I didn't get the chance to explain. (Some of the products were prescribed and recommended by this office before). When I tried to redirect her to get my question answered, she continued to respond to me in a rude and condescending manner. At that point, I told her I didn't like her demeanor and she shouldn't speak to patients that, and that made her very upset. I asked her another question about what the medication was specifically prescribed for and if I needed to follow with spf or anything and she refused to answer and stormed out. It was the most unprofessional medical experience I've ever had. The practice did call me to apologize after I wrote an email to report her behavior. I had been to this office about 5 times before and never had an issue, but I don't recommend seeing Heleh Stratton as her bedside manner is terrible. Further, a more general issue with the practice is you see whoever is on staff and you don't have a consistent doctor, which I didn't know would be the case originally. I've seen someone new every time I've went. If you'd rather only see one doctor who's acquainted with your skin history, I would recommend another option. read more

My mother and I went there with my brother recently and we were disgusted with Dr. Singhs bed side manners. My brother went there for very bad case of eczema and she look at my brothers condition with disgust. She didn't even want to touch him at all. She had her hands folded behind her back the whole time as she examined him. Then when my mother had questions about my brother skin condition she had the nerve to say "what is the reason for all of these questions that your asking"? Celebrating one of those rare moments when I have insurance I decided to have a mole on my neck checked out. I got on zocdoc plugged in emblem and got Bobby boy. We make the appointment online nice & impersonal just like America itself. They sent me a text to confirm. I'm sitting on the (stalled) shuttle so I send a text saying gimme a few minutes. I get an auto reply that they didn't understand my text. Ruh roh. Bobster appears to have skipped the human aspect of communication. Ok... so I show up on eastern pkwy and see a house. Not a clinic. To say my appointment was disappointing would be my understatement of the year. The entire experience with the exception of the medical aide, was rude, short and lacked any insight in to your condition. The receptionist staff was unwelcoming, antagonizing almost making your want to cancel your appointment if it wasn't for the fact that your only there because your looking for assistance. So I decided to stay with the hope that the physician would be better. Big mistake. Not only did she rush thru, complete the most superficial exam, and lack personal skills. She did absolutely no patient teaching outside of when I prompted her, because I'm like excuse me your going to have to be the resource I'm here for. Why this medication would be more beneficial as opposed to something else? What moisturizer I should use? What other treatments could we consider? Anything? Nope. Nothing other than a attitude of irritation for the need for clarity. I literally had to restate what she did say to get her to expand. As a Health Care Professional, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. As a patient , I wish I had left on my first impression. I was disappointed in pretty much every way possible with this visit. I was referred here by my primary care doctor for a very distressing skin issue which no one could figure out, and got an appointment really quickly, which I was thrilled about. I was brought to a small, modern, clean room and given a gown to put on. Then, sitting in this small space feeling very exposed, no less than THREE staff members came in, literally crowding the space between me and the door. The only explanation I was given was "we're training her" in reference to the third person. No one asked "Do you mind having a trainee present", no one explained who the other person was. The doctor listened to me for about 30 seconds and glanced at my skin before telling me I had bedbugs. I tried telling her that I had had not one but TWO exterminators examine my apartment and tell me that wasn't the case, and then STILL had the apartment fumigated, so clearly that was not the issue. She brushed all that aside, said it had to be some kind of bedbug, and told me she was prescribing an ointment and pill for the itching. I was pretty much speechless in disbelief that she not only not helping me figure this out after weeks of stressing over this, but was actually brushing me off. I started tearing up. She literally handed me a box of Kleenex and walked out. The prescriptions were not put through, even though I had given them my pharmacy's name, address, and phone number. I called 24 hours after my appointment to see what the hold up was, and was told "OK I'll send them through now." It's now been another 24 hours and they still haven't gone through, which is beyond ridiculous. And to top it all off - I followed up with a primary care doctor the next day, who was horrified when I told her what pills I had been prescribed - two weeks of a very heavy steroid with unpleasant side effects that was apparently complete overkill for what I was experiencing. The doc said she didn't want to contradict what a specialist told me, and I very quickly reassured her that I had zero faith in this "specialist" and was relieved to get her opinion before starting those heavy drugs. To sum it up: beautiful, modern office, and that's the only nice thing to say about it. I wasted $40 on a copay, time off work, and a lot of unnecessary stress. Worst experience going to a doctor and I work in the industry. The phone reps all say the my insurance is accepted yet at the office they said its not in network. I had called to verify in the morning that my insurance is accepted and they said yes. When I got to the office for my appointment the receptionist said they can't accept it. I called the main line and had the person in the call center speak to the receptionist who agreed to have me seen. Then she called her manager and they said I can't be seen. I was seen last week by Dr. Okereke at her Crown Hts location. From the time I walked through the door to the time I left, I felt very well taken care off. Everyone greeted me with a smile, the office is very clean & modern and the process was seamless. Her medical assistant was very pleasant and thorough. ALL of my concerns were addressed and I felt like a V.I.P. patient. My procedure was painless and Dr. Okereke explained everything to me in great detail. Her bedside manner was EXTRAORDINARY. Its a beautiful place. Nice front desk staff and back office staff. The issue I have that I seen a PA instead of a MD at which she was covering for the doctor. I was given some injections and medications that was sent to the pharmacy that I hope help my current issue..I have a follow up appt for 3 weeks..hopefully I will get to see Dr Singh that works there and discuss more in detail about my current issue and other treatment options read more

I don't recommend this practice if you can avoid them. They got too big too fast and are not capable of properly handling the large number of patients they are trying to care for. There is no personalization. You are treated like a number and the way they route and schedule appointments is maddening. The receptionist is in another area from the doctors and couldn't care less about helping you. Do yourself a favor and find a smaller practice that takes the time to hire receptionists that have some connection to the patients. You will absolutely HATE dealing with this practice. I will say to be fair that once you do actually get connected with the doctor, it is a good experience. The doctors are competent and knowledgable. Unfortunately, most time is spent with support staff in these situations, and this where the practice completely drops the ball. read more

This office is really wondrful! I have gone to more than one of their offices - any they are all very nice. The Crown Heights office has great hours, we got seen right away. Kara Hartmann was AMAZING! She answered our ( my daughter and I) question, gave solid advice and most of all the results were spectacular. They say they open at 9, but if you schedule an appointment before ten they'll cancel it and reschedule for a later, more inconvenient time. Scheduled an appointment for a morning slot through ZocDoc two weeks in advance. After knowing that I was going to probably have a PA, AND confirming my appointment and putting in all my info ahead of time, two days before my appointment the office called saying that they wouldn't be opening their office until AFTER my appointment, so I'd have to reschedule to the middle of the day. I'd give them zero if I could. Such a bad experience and I haven't even gotten into the office yet. read more
