Standard driving range. Good prices. Large basket of balls lasted me over an hour. Plenty of spaces to hit and the spaces are quite large. No shade. Got sunburned while I was there. There are a few mobile bag stands, which don't matter since my bag has its own stand. There are some flags but I don't know the distances. Bathroom was clean. What I don't like is that you have to purchase a special basket of yellow balls if you want to chip or putt on the backside. Pretty lame. Plenty of parking which isn't at risk. No real area to hang out. There are a couple benches but one was in the sun and neither are shaded. Not sure about snacks or drinks. I would advise you to bring water. It's hot out! read more

Pretty standard driving range that gets the job done. I only have a couple grievances...At times, they don't have the yardage signs posted and you have to do some guesswork. Other times the hitting areas can get shaggy and torn up, but it beats hitting off mats. Otherwise, it's a good place to practice or just hit some golf balls as hard as you can. Prices are reasonable and they have a good short-game area and putting green as well. They also have 7 target flags at a variety of yardages, so there's no shortage of aiming points. The range itself is long enough to contain a Driver unless you're a really long hitter. They have plenty of parking and also offer snacks/drinks at their shop. They also offer lessons at a few different rates. Overall, I enjoy Different Strokes for the convenience and simplicity of a standard driving range. read more

WET BALLS. I went to grab their balls and they were wet. Now every time I stroke my shaft my hand slips off. You would think if you paid $16!! for large balls they would at least dry them. Also they got fancy lights but the dumb dumbs stick you 100yds in front of them so your club face just casts a shadow over their wet balls. Way overpriced. Employees were great. read more

This is the best public range in the Louisville area... particularly closest to the Highlands and downtown. Great venue, huge bermuda areas, and always rotating the spots to ensure you get fresh turf. They do a great job here, keeping the lights on in the evening until about 930pm as well. I am not a golfer, so my opinion on this spot may not be extremely relevant, but I visited and wanted to post a review about my experience. I recently went to Different Strokes Golf Centers with my fiancé, who is a golfer, and visits both driving ranges and golf courses on a regular basis. He goes to Different Strokes often, as it is close and convenient. And he seems to enjoy it. During my experience I thought it was fine. Again, I am not a golfer, so to me it appeared as any other driving range I've been to. It's pretty much an open field to hit balls into. I hit a few balls and it was a fine a place to do it. I'd say if you're looking for a driving range, Different Strokes Golf Centers will do just fine. read more

Nice driving range with reasonable prices for this area, $14.00 for a large bucket of 110 balls. High marks too for quality, dm clean, Srixon practice balls. It's not about the brand, it's just so much better to practice with the same ball rather than the typical mish-mash of mixed brand refurbished balls many ranges supply. Nice grass tees and plenty of target flags to hit too. I do suggest you take the range finder though. They try to let you know the distances to the flags, but I found them to be off based on where the tees were today. They also have a putting green and short game area, but I didn't use them today as it was full swing practice day. Will definitely be back! read more

It's a decent driving range. I was there early June, 2017 and the ground was a bit too hard. Making divot was doable but I tried not to hit the ground. I worried about getting injured from hitting hard surface constantly. I had lots of fun hitting drivers, woods, and some hybrids though. I will come back (actually I ended up purchasing prepaid punch card) and I hope the ground got softer. They also have a reward punch card (buy 12 buckets get 1 bucket free) but it ran out at the time of my visit. read more

One employee that we encountered while we were practicing was very rude to us. He basically yelled at us that we had to leave as we did not realize that we had to pay for balls to hit on the chipping green. There was no signage stating this rule or any employee telling us this. He then falsely accused us of hitting balls from on the green with our clubs, which we were not. When we stated that we were hitting off the edge of the green, he got angry at us again saying that we were not allowed to do that. At this point, we left, disappointed in our fun night at the range ruined. We would have reacted differently only if this employee approached us nicely. We will never go back to Different Strokes to practice ever again after this horrible experience. read more

On April 11th we showed up at 810 when the facility doesn't close till 9.. there were two VERY RUDE men in the building with the door locked who told us we hadn't arrived in time to play even though the sign on the door said that they would stop selling at 815. Great range. Good targets with flags and yardage signs. Bermuda grass. Hitting areas are moved daily so you always have good grass. Chipping and putting areas are well kept too. Friendly staff makes it a great place to practice. Onsite pros for lessons too. Highly recommend this range read more

This is the best public real-grass range i've found in Louisville. Every day they rotate the hitting area so you have some fresh grass to hit off of. I'm there 2-3 times a week to hit balls and the staff is always friendly. They have lights for night practice which is helpful for the people with daytime jobs. They also have a shortgame practice area where you can hit shots to multiple pin locations on a green from 15-75 yards (approximate). Between the shortgame/pitch area they have a practice green for putting which is small but works and is usually mowed down pretty tight. The small buckets are $8 and the medium buckets are $10. If i'm not mistaken, you must buy yellow practice balls for the pitching area and they are $3. They do have benches, picnic tables and restrooms on site....that's nice if you want to bring spectators to watch you shank balls, like me! Overall, a great facility and nice staff! read more

Great place to hit some balls. Even though they've had a lot of rain, they try real hard to keep it playable.
