The "egg custard Vietnamese coffee" in real life
    Jing C.

I love both the authentic Asian drink and American style beverages, so I'm usually pretty good at discovering the good stuff - but I have to say, this boba coffee I got today is disappointing. I ordered an Iced Vietnamese Coffee with Egg Custard topping and boba (extra $1 for the boba), which is almost $9 in total. The drink I actually received has no egg custard creamy topping, no boba, just a plain coffee - nothing like what was advertised on the menu (see picture attached). Also, you need to be very careful reading the menu - it's very possible that they post a picture with a lot of fun boba and jelly, but none of those will be included (yes they do explain that on the menu, but that font is very tiny so be mindful).

Super easy when ordering mochi doughnuts!! You order on the self service screens and then they call your name & you let them know your order! This is possibly my favorite location for mochi doughnuts as they always have a good variety. A must-go whenever we visit Asia Mall!

This bubble tea and mochi donuts cafe is located in Asian mall. They are located on the first floor next to Pho Mai. They have a kiosk to order from otherwise cashier is always available. You can choose from a single selection of donut, otherwise box of 3 or 6. Once they call your number at the counter, you can choose the different flavors available. Cafe is nice, flow of the entrance and orders on the left and exit on the right.

These donuts are absolutely amazing! We've tried other mochi donut places in the cities but this one is our favorite. It's located on the first level of the Asia mall so it's a nice add-on to hitting up some fun shopping as well. The order at the kiosk is fairly easy where you can select how many donuts you want. They quickly call your name, and you choose the specific flavors that they expertly place in the box with chopsticks. The donuts themselves are so fluffy and flavorful. We've never had one that we didn't like! Service is quick and you're on your way! If you're lucky, a few might even make it home with you!

I'll start with what I don't like...you have to order from a screen and you can't just walk up to the doughnut display and pick out doughnuts or talk to an employee about what types of boba teas you like and get help with what you should get, you just have to kinda guess by looking at an electronic menu and pictures by yourself. You can look at the doughnuts before you order by kinda sneaking around people waiting for their name/number to be called but then you lose your place in line waiting for your turn at the kiosk....that's all stupid. The reason I give them a three though is because if you DO know what kind of Boba Tea you want the teas are REALLY good, so product - excellent. Also, the mochi doughnuts are exactly what you expect a mochi doughnut to be, that is the redeeming quality of this place. Prepare to be annoyed at getting your order, but pleased with the result (as long as you understand the tea menu)

You can tell this is a hot spot because there is always a line (but don't let that keep you away - it moves quickly!). This is a staple whenever we visit Asia Mall. The drinks can be sweet. We generally opt for a 25% sweetness and that's plenty. The mochi donuts are fresh, flavorful, and spongy. Note: this location is inside Asia Mall to the left upon entry. The line is formed against the partial wall on the edge of the grocery portion.

I've had bober tea around 4-5 times now. Each time, their boba has great texture and the milk teas are consistently flavored well, not overly strong tea taste, just the right amount IMO. I ordered the hazelnut milk tea and it was good! However, I ordered 0% sugar and it somehow was still pretty sweet. I've had the mochi donuts a few times as well and they are pretty good, I like how they rotate flavors from time to time. My favorite was the biscoff one. If you're checking out Asia mall, this boba will satisfy your cravings.

love the texture and the unique flavors without being too sweet and the shape allows for easy sharing. All around fun. Ordering is a bit of a challenge as you need to wait in line and then order via a kiosk without the ability to see what's available. You order and pay based simply on the quantity you want. Then when your number is called you tell the staff person which flavors you want. So if you ordered a dozen but they are out of the flavors you want, you're stuck. At $15.75 for a box of six, these are not inexpensive donuts and the bober teas are all $6-$7. This is also a national chain with a few dozen locations mostly in California.

During break one of my coworkers went to grab us mochi donuts from the Asia mall in Eden prairie. Bober tea sells sprinkle donuts and OMG guys they're so good. The texture is a bit difficult to explain, it's a bit chewy but also like a donut. The dough has a good flavor and toppings are so good. I do recommend giving these a try! They're unique type of donuts, hard to NOT like :)

Ube, strawberry and fruity pebble cake batter
    Karen T.

Mung bean and pandan latte might not be the first thing that jumps out at you from this menu but it was for me. The boba had the perfect QQ texture even though it was the end of the day. (There is an entire New York Times article on what QQ Means) Ratings of the doughnuts: Mother in law: #1: ube #2: strawberry #3: fruity pebble cake batter Husband: #1: fruity pebble cake batter #2: strawberry/ube Me: #1: strawberry #2: ube #3 fruity pebble cake batter I think this just goes to show that they are all tasty but everyone has their personal preferences in flavors. I grew up eating strawberry pocky and hello panda so that artificial strawberry flavor was very nostalgic for me and hit just right on the donut. Ube was super solid (a purple yam that resembles white chocolate) too, and I was told it was one of the most popular. Ordering at the kiosk is easy and you can tap pay, which I appreciate. Things came out quite timely. Highly recommend!!

Second time at this boba tea and mochi donut shop on the first floor of the Asia Mall in Eden Prarie. The computer board ordering is a little wonky, but the staff is friendly and both the boba and donuts are top notch. They have had different flavors of donuts both times we have been, but I haven't yet tried one I didn't like.

Joined a small line that moved quickly. Used the kiosk to order a 6 pack and 2 drinks. I messed up and so our drinks didn't have boba but I loved that you could select how sugary you wanted your drinks. Our name was called and we were able to go up and pick the 6 donuts we wanted. AMAZING. So crunchy yet light. They melt in your mouth and the frosting is sooooo flavorful. We tried the mochi, cookies and cream, egg nog, fruity?, churro, and strawberry. I mochi was my favorite but they were all amazing. I cannot wait to go back and try new flavors!!

You would place your order on a kiosk and the staff will call out your name. The place appears to be busy - there is a line to use the kiosk. There were 9 different flavors on the day I ordered a dozen mochi donuts. I gave this place 4 out of 5 stars because they ran out of mango and strawberry flavors for bubble tea. I ordered a strawberry at the kiosk and was told they were sold out. My given options were pineapple or pink pear. Anyway, the mochi donuts remain warm throughout my commute back to Blaine. Despite running out of bubble tea flavors, they have some good donuts!

I immediately started looking at coffee shops that I could relocate to in order to work. I had been wanting to go try Smiths for a while but the opportunity just never presented itself despite being just down the road. I arrived and the driveway leading to the parking lot was lined with cars, but I was able to find a spot in the parking lot after a minute or so. It was definitely a full lot for sure. The location is absolutely adorable as this is a historic house. It was once a Dunn Brothers, but I do love that it is its own thing now rather than a chain. They had a outdoor patio that people were enjoying but it was a bit chilly for working and sitting outside, one person even had a dog which I LOVE! Inside the front door you are greeted with a welcoming counter that you can order. I opted to try the salted caramel iced latte. If you are consuming there (which I was) they give you a number to bring to your table and they bring the drink. I really liked this idea especially in the aspect of not having to stand and wait for a drink. The price was a bit high (7.55 for a 16 oz with $1 tip), but then again everything is getting expensive these days. I walked back to the seating area and there are essentially 3 rooms downstairs, I walked through all 3 to see where working would be ideal. I went upstairs but there was a woman in the room so I assumed it was a group that was meeting or something so I opted to not investigate further. I found seating downstairs in what felt like the quietest part, but there were a lot of people there talking and the acoustics were not exactly fantastic. I did have a call which I took via teams and air pods and discovered the sound in the room was actually really not awesome for a meeting as it was quite loud and the wifi was not strong enough to support the video on the teams call. So would I recommend working from Smith, not if you have a meeting, but if you are looking for a place that has some background noise, I guess... However this is certainly a place that is perfect for meeting someone and enjoying breakfast or coffee and I love that. I did not order food this time, but everything I saw get delivered looked delicious. I also noticed they have a pizza night on Thursday nights and immediately made a note of that for a date night with the hubby.

There is plenty of parking in the lot outside of Qamaria! The interior is well-done, with elevated finishes and themed decor. I was excited because it looked like a cozy place to grab a coffee! The staff were not very friendly during my ordering process, and just seemed not happy to be at work. Unfortunately, the wifi didn't work for me, so I couldn't actually complete any work. I stuck to reading my book, which was great until they started playing music inside (randomly like an hour after I got there). Now music in a coffeeshop is fine, but this music was staticy, skipped often, and was incredibly distracting. I eventually just got up and continued reading in my car because the workers either couldn't fix it or didn't know how. The Pistachio latte had good pistachio flavor, but I have qualms with a coffeeshop that charges $8 for a latte, and then proceeds to slop it together...no foam, no latte art, and so hot that the milk was scalded. In a world where there is a coffee shop on every corner, you can find better elsewhere for sure. I don't mind paying top dollar for a latte these days, but I deserve it to be well-done.

I had to think when growing up it may have been considered some kind of sin to suggest serving coffee and light food in a church. "John how dare you spew blasphemy", Sister Mary Francis would say. A very friendly setting that is uber clean. There was a cleaner working while I was there and then someone came from the elevator with more cleaning equipment. I saw a nice display of pastries but tried the pre made sandwich which was still fresh. They feature a light and dark roast in the standard three sizes. The dark roast, which the barista suggested, had a deep roasted flavor with a non-acidic aftertaste. They asked if I would wait while they made a fresh brew for me, and I was glad to have the drink minutes fresh. As great as the product was the attraction is the airy, arty walls and soft lighting for a relaxing almost, shall we say, spiritual awakening. Ok a bit of hyperbole.
