So why is this still four stars? Well...this time the service/staff was less than ideal. When I called to place my order on the phone, the lady sounded very annoyed. Like the entire time I was placing my order - I felt uncomfortable and like I shouldn't be calling. When I got inside the restaurant to pick up my order, I'm 99% sure it was the same lady that took my phone order. She again seemed very annoyed and I felt very uncomfortable for being there. Like I had done something wrong. This time I also wasn't offered any jellies or hot sauce. I didn't feel like I should just ask because...I don't know, maybe those aren't supposed to be given out for free and it was just a nice thing the staff did for me earlier in the week? But I really missed having some strawberry jam with my toast. One thing I love about the toast when you get it to-go, they wrap it in a separately to keep it from getting soggy. I really liked this. Overall, I'm really sorry I made a mistake in my previous review about the credit card processing fee. I wish the service would've been better this time and from other reviews, it seems like it's definitely mixed. I still recommend giving Buckboard a shot, but don't go into a thinking it's going to be the best restaurant in the world. I really appreciate that ownership is looking at reviews!

The pork chop was perfectly cooked and the citrus rice was incredibly tasty (I stole a mouthful!). I had the chimichurri steak with the garlic mashed potatoes. The chimichurri is a little sweeter than a traditional Argentine chimichurri, but that was a good thing. It was different and unexpected, but it completely worked. Service was attentive and our waiter was very good. It is a family-owned business, and it's great to see the generations working together to make the restaurant run. So I found Benedict's online and thought it looked like a good choice. The restaurant itself is really bright open and airy. Lots of natural light and high wood beams. The restaurant employs an online wait list, which I love. So you join the wait list online, it tells you how long your wait is and the you can plan your arrival to minimize your wait. I was surprised that on a Saturday, we walked right in and were seated... it wasn't all that crowded (that said, there was a big No Kings rally that day so people might have been busy). At any rate, we were greeted and seated immediately at a nice table. I enjoyed the many options on the menu and also loved that you could order a single specialty pancake if you wanted one. I ordered the classic benedict. My husband got the tot hash. We ordered a strawberry nutella pancake to share. The pancake was good, though honestly the nutella strawberry topping was a bit meh. My husband said his tot hash was not what he expected (they seem to make their own tots and then deep fry them) but he did like it. My benedict was decent, but there was way too much ham and not enough hollandaise. I hate when people are stingy with the hollandaise. Coffee was good and strong. My peach mimosa was fine but honestly pretty small -- I'd be surprised if it was 8 oz. Service was OK. Nothing super major to complain about, but my mimosa wasn't delivered until I was almost through my first cup of coffee. The waitress clearly just forgot about it. She basically said so and apologized. I noted that many tables had lovely little bottles of water for when you wanted to refill your glass, but we did not receive one. It also bothered me a bit that there was a lot of "stuff" on the floor. Trash, bits of food, etc. I know that things get really busy at brunch spots on the weekends. But someone really needed to go around with a broom or a vacuum. It's just not what I expect from a dining establishment where I'm going to drop $80 on breakfast for two.

We were in plain sight of everyone so we didn't know whether our server was on a break and didn't get their table covered or what but we just got up and left. It was so uncomfortable to be in a room of people and just completely ignored, and it was relatively embarrassing to get up and leave after other customers just stared at us waiting for any kind of acknowledgement. We had been here many times before this instance so we decided to try it again recently and it was very disappointing. The table and booth were so sticky, there was just a general layer of dirt-film over everything in our booth. Our server had to come back to our table multiple times to get our breakfast order put into the kitchen (one trip for potato choice, one trip for eggs and I still didn't even get the right kind, one trip for toast, one trip for the meat, I felt like I was being punk'd), the food was extremely underdone but somehow took forever to prepare so I really just had toast and coffee for breakfast (almost raw hashbrowns, raw onions, barely melted cheese) and it was over $50 for two of us to have breakfast with a tip. When we moved here three years ago it was one of our solid spots for a bite to eat but I don't think I'd go back again after the last two experiences. We thought the first instance was a fluke when we weren't served or even greeted after we were sat but now the food isn't really worth going back for. Used to feel like a place to bring family and now it just has a very different vibe. Servers were nice and it's got potential to reign it back in but I can't say I'll be holding my breath. Really sad to see such a decline.
