I went for the first time today. While they didn't have the flavors of boba my group was wanting, I did get the Hazelnut Vietnamese coffee and it was great. Customer service was awesome. The you g lady greeted us right off the bat and since it was our first time, explained the process, how to order and answered our questions. We were there for grand opening. Excited for their opening because we have had such amazing drinks from them in the sac locations. But I felt like the drinks can improve. Maybe we were just there on a super busy day. And will prob give it another chance. The inside of the store tho was very beautiful like all the other locations. Just wished the store was a bit bigger considering the amount of people standing in line. We waited 1hr and 30 min just to get to order and then maybe 15 min for our drinks to be ready. I don't know what's the problem with their management today! Me and my family frequently visit this location and always get the same drinks, their Kungfu Milk Tea and Rose Latte. This time everything went wrong. There was only one staff member working, we ordered the same two drinks we always get. Not only did it take forever to make, we could hear him calling his manager or someone to ask how to make the drinks. We figured he was new so waited patiently. Everything was a disaster when he brought out the drinks, not only was the rose latte funky tasting, it wasn't hot but cold! And filled into a transparent plastic cup. The Kungfu milk tea was watery and barely cold. We told him this is wrong we order it all the time but he just kept repeating oh he's new and he just made it. We know you made it, but you made it wrong, like can we get a new one? Or a refund?? We asked for either a refund or to change our order and he instantly said okay I will refund you. He never apologized and tried to fix his mistake, he just acted like this is what you get. This service and attitude by this new employee was very unprofessional and kind of disappointing as we normally have such a great experience here. The drinks and donuts are amazing and we are really happy to have a Bober tea in Redding. But this experience was very disappointing. Finally got to drop by today and pretty happy with the drinks! To make an order, you have to order from one of the two kiosks and then you wait for them to call your name to pick up your drinks. I got the matcha latte for myself with 75% sweet, and it was perfect. The young lady told me to shake it up first before drinking it since the syrup was at the bottom of the cup, she was so nice. My boyfriend enjoyed his brown sugar milk tea, it tasted similar to Tiger Sugar's and their boba was very soft and chewy. The inside was super cute! read more

The first time I went here I was impressed to even have a place like this in Redding. I love boba drinks and this place is incredible. Their mung bean pandan is my to go to drink now. Just opened up and they've been selling out of their doughnuts by the time you get there in the afternoon. (I feel that's a good problem to have as a business!) They we're extremely sweet and very sorry when then sell out and are trying to meet the demand so everyone needs to chill while they figure things out. Great service. The ambiance is great too. This store has a nice decor and the two employees that were working behind the counter were helpful. Once inside I saw the kiosk for ordering and realized that I had gone to a branch several years ago in Sacramento, but had not ordered because it was too impersonable, confusing, and rushed with people waiting. This time the place was empty and the young lady behind the counter answered my questions and even came out to assist me with the kiosk, which they wouldn't do in Sacramento. You have to scroll past suggestions (ads) of items to purchase in order to reach the add to Cart button. Even though I like the tea and the Mochi doughnuts (box of 3 is $7.50, except on Tuesday) it does not rank high on my favorite places to go. 1. Kiosk to impersonable, and makes me feel rushed to get through it. They have a variety of drinks and donuts but the only list is on the kiosk, which there are only two of, so you have to scroll through each category. I admit I like to browse and the more choices there are the slower I go. I won't get in line till I am sure about the order. With kiosk l can only tie it up until I decide on my order. 2. The cleaning agent they were using was so caustic and overpowering I almost left before ordering,if they had been busy I would have waited for my order outside. When I left I was lightheaded. Today, my granddaughter, her friend and myself went into Bober tea. Let me add that I was very reluctant.When the girls said that they wanted to go there for their boba. Let me explain... my granddaughter and I have been in to this establishment two other times before. The first time she and I ordered, uh boba drink and mochi. About thirty minutes or so later, she and I both had pretty bad stomach cramps, and we're both in and out of the bathroom for the next couple of hours. At that time i just chalked it up as well. It was the stomach flu. About a month later, my granddaughter, and I went back in to buy a dozen mochi to share with the fam. My granddaughter and I each had two mochi my son and my youngest granddaughter had a couple as well. The results... Severe severe stomach cramps again, and all four of us in and out of the bathroom for the next couple of hours. Both of my granddaughters were in writhing pain. I deducted at that point that there must be something up with BOBER Tea, and vowed to never go there again. Fast forward to a little over a year later to our visit today. The 3 of us went in. I ordered the girls both a drink and a mochi. Well, the final results are in. We all three have been experiencing severe stomach cramps and have been in and out of the bathroom for the last couple of hours. The three of us are feeling a lot better now, but I we'll be calling the health department. Because this is unacceptable, there has to be something up with this place. I'm wondering if anyone else has had any issues similar to ours after having visited this establishment? I would love to hear your stories. If I could give this place a negative five star review, I would. At best is zero star review. Oh, and I was overcharged a little over five dollars, but that's a different story read more

We had a fair share of boba everywhere and were pleasantly surprised how good this was!! The place is cute and mochi sells out; but I got their specialty brown sugar boba and yum!!!! Just okay. It's not the worst but not the best either. The prices are a bit high, especially for the donuts. The flavor is just not there for the milk teas. We got Thai tea and Taro milk tea and they were pretty bland. The jasmine tea was delicious, though. The inside is super cute and the employees are friendly. I was super excited about this boba place opening up in Redding. I just left $30 dollars and a 20 minute wait time later, disappointed. The donuts are good, but the milk teas/lattes are what I'm really there for. I ordered a Taro latte and a Thai Tea Latte. The thai tea came sweetened great, but that wasnt my drink. The Taro latte that I selected, "100%" sweetness came out with 0% sweetness and literally just tasted like milk. Im lactose intolerant so if I'm going to drink dairy products, it's gotta be really worth it, and it wasn't. I was so bummed out as I had been so excited for this place, but the taro latte went directly into the trash. 2 stars for good donuts. read more
