Staff was very friendly and quick to help even though they were pretty busy. The setup inside the story is very nice and relaxing. Plenty of space to have a table and enjoy your ice cream. I'm usually a cheesecake/coffee ice cream guy. But there were so many good looking flavors I had to do the 4 flavor flight option!! **Numbers match the order in the picture** 1. Came to Taste & See after dinner on a Saturday and tried almost all of the flavors before ordering a single scoop with a waffle cone, as well as a flight of flavors. The interior is super comfy and welcoming, with some board games and plenty of tables and seating - there had just been a local live artist playing before we arrived. All the workers were super friendly too! Standout flavors include the banana, cookies and cream, and black forest cherry. The waffle cone is a must get - its super buttery, crispy and flavorful. This local ice cream place was recommended to us by our airbnb host and it definitely did not disappoint. My friend and I got the chocolate ice cream and lemon cookie scoop. The chocolate ice cream was truly the best chocolate ice cream I ever had and I know that because I usually don't go for chocolate at ice cream shops but this one was the best. It wasn't super sweet and it was dark, rich, and creamy. I got to try any friend lemon cookie flavor which was citrusy with the perfect amount of sweet which was refreshing. If you're ever in Redding, I would definitely check this place out! Definitely a great place to spend with family and friends since they have tons of board games. read more

Came here for a sweet treat. Appreciated that they denote which ice creams are gluten free, dairy free, or both! Parking was easy as it's part of a complex. We were greeted when we entered and were offered the ability to sample. The person who helped us was patient with our questions. We ended up going with the Belgian chocolate ganache. Absolutely delicious! Loved that it was not overly sweet, smooth, and very creamy! Was the perfect decadent dessert we were looking for. Plenty of seating and there are also board games for customers to play. Also enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. As a side note, they also offer different types of lattes (including seasonal ones!). read more

My wife and I had decided to go for a little drive and get a milkshake, we drove about 15 minutes to this location as we have never had any issues, we went through the drive through and there was a car in front of us. The car was there for about 7 minutes (as long as we were there, probably even longer) before they finally pulled up to the drive through window. We waited for more than 5 minutes for someone to say something through the speakers, I said hello multiple times and decided to pull forward and reverse in case I didn't set off the sensor, while doing so I saw the car in front of me paying through the window so we waited at the speaker for some more time. I went to the window, knocked on the shelf and no one came. So I drove around again and we waited a couple more minutes before finally calling, and asking if they have no one working drive through right now, because we have been waiting for 20 minutes, The girl on the phone said drive through was closed, and she's working by herself and that we can come in and wait in line. She seemed too stressed to handle the influx of customers on her own, and she hung up on us, we tried calling back to get her name and managers name, and as my wife was asking for the owners name, since she now changed her story to "the owner was just in and told me not to worry about drive through" she hung up again. So it's not entirely on her but more so on management for staffing a minor alone on a 70 degree Sunday night, and not closing down the drive through properly or at least letting customers that have been waiting for 20 minutes know through the headset that they aren't going to take your order. We didn't mind going somewhere else and now, always will. But for the employee to hang up on a customer twice is ridiculous. One of the owners replied to my wife's emails and admitted that "her statement wasn't accurate, and they've been having issues with the drive through headset, but was no way informed not to man the drive through." "I apologize for the wait you had to endure" in the end there was no "wait" just a waste of time ( 30 minutes not including the drive) as she refused to serve us in the drive through. EDIT : The unprofessional owner or "one of the owners" already replied to my review but after emailing back and forth he decided to come back on here and edit his comment (absolutely professional) neither of us berated or yelled at your employee, she has proven to be a liar as you already admitted in YOUR OWN EMAILS. Not only that but all of our emails and communications were professional, the owners only tried actually resolving this situation AFTER my review. Will add photos of the exchange. "Your husband posting a review was uncalled for as we were having a conversation" your first email ended with actually zero resolve other than saying you will work on the issue, and thanks for bringing it to your attention. News Flash, google reviews are for just that DANNY, reviews. Who would've thought? The issue seems to be unprofessionalism all around from the owners to the incapable employees. read more

Had to write a review because the lemon speculoos cookie was so good! Wasn't too sweet at all because of the acidity and def a treat after having pizza for dinner. The employees are so sweet and they offer as many samples as you need to figure out what's right for you. I'd also recommend the blueberry goat cheesecake and for some gluten free options the bourbon brown putter pecan and balsamic roasted strawberry are pretty good, although I didn't really taste the balsamic profile. The creamery shares the same residence as Cinders Pizza. I applaud the combo! read more

The lady that helped me was Kris, she was very personable and let me try samples of a few different flavors. We love visiting taste & see creamery when we're in Redding! The ice cream is delicious and this location is spacious with lots of room to enjoy your ice cream inside or outside! They have lots of options for any dietary needs -- gluten free, dairy free, vegan, refined sugar free, etc. i especially love that their menu on the tv clearly identifies the allergen information so you can see which ice creams work for your needs! This time we enjoyed the honey vanilla latte (GF, DF RSF), turtle bay 20th, and cold brew. All of them were delicious! The honey vanilla latte is sweetened with honey so it is even refined sugar free! The turtle bay was delicious but both who had that mentioned the cookie dough bits were a bit large for their liking. Coffee is as equally as awesome as their ice cream! The cortado was great with citrus & dark chocolate notes. The pumpkin brown sugar latte was great and not overly sweet. My husband and I are extremely picky about coffee but T&S has not missed the mark! I never liked chocolate ice cream before T&S...I tried their Double Chocolate ganache and have not turned back! My husband loves the lemon cookie! I can't wait to try all their new flavors! So glad that they also use organic ingredients. The shop itself is so beautiful, bright & inviting. Sugar cones was yummy and well made. Doesn't leak at the tip at the bottom after awhile. It matters when you have kids and don't want it dripping all over their clothes after they inch away at the ice cream. I love that they don't have your typical ice cream flavors. We liked the strawberry mint sherbet as it tasted so fresh! And we also got the bourbon butter pecan that was tasty as well. read more

I did not know what to expect when we drove to Redding. I was expecting more mountains, although they might've been visible if it was not so overcast on the day we drove through. The surprising fact was that Redding is at a low altitude surrounded by pastureland. Redding was not our final destination, only a rest stop on our journey to Oregon. My only previous knowledge of the area was that it was a good flyfishing destination. While I cannot attest to its abundance of flyfishing waters, because I did not fish or see many rivers on the drive through, I can confirm that Redding is a great place to experience California's dairy culture, if by this I mean enjoying the Taste & See Creamery. Most ice cream spots are generally good. It takes a lot for an ice cream parlor to reach the status of memorable, bare minimum is for the ice cream to be homemade, and by homemade I mean that the business itself makes the ice cream. There are a surprising number of ice cream shops that only serve ice cream produced by a large manufacturer. These types of ice cream shops are not in the business because they enjoy the craft of quality ice cream; instead, they only want to feed the thirsty tourists with no incentive that they will return. In contrast to these tourist shops, Taste & See is the model ice cream parlor for ice cream quality. My wife's mint and berry ice cream tasted like it had been freshly made with mint and berries from the local farmer's market. My draft chocolate was rich and creamy. It was considered "draft" because it was made with trace amounts of beer or beer ingredients, a flavor I had never seen before. read more

The best I've cream ever, seriously. Blows salt n straw out of the water and I'm a huge fan of them. Can only speak for the blueberry goat cheesecake flavor but man is it good. Waffle cone was so fresh and crispy, not a single bite got soggy, not even the very end. Not too sweet and the perfect tang from the goat cheese. Can't wait to try other flavors next time I'm in Redding, gold star for sure! (I mean awesome ice cream through a drive thru, c'mon) read more

When we walked in, we were greeted by two friendly employees behind the counter. One of the employees told us that they offer pup cups of whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. My husband thought vanilla ice cream would be nice since she had received a puppucino from Starbucks yesterday. So that employee made one for her right away. I was really surprised how big the scoop was and also later finding out that it was free was really surprising. Then later on, after trying a few samples, we ended up getting the following for ourselves: Mountain Blackberry Revel, Kid Size, $3.50 prior to tax- I really liked the flavor of this ice cream. I think it is a vanilla ice cream with swirls of blackberry throughout. Butter Pecan, Kid Size, $3.50- I didn't have any of this but my husband liked it. He told me that he always likes to go with the classics. ---------------------------- (Total= $7.51 after tax, prior to tip) Because the employees were so great, my husband decided to give tip. We sat inside after we got our order, which was nice to be able to enjoy our ice cream inside instead of outside like we normally would do at other ice cream places that don't normally allow dogs inside. I really like the ski lift inside that is nice for a photo op. If I lived here, my dog and I would definitely be a regular.

The location in Red Bluff is significantly better for service, quality and taste of the food. Terrible experience. And they didn't give us any napkins.
