People need to understand that these are USED VEHICLES bought at auction! Have I had to do some repair work, yes, like change a water pump, tie rod ends, valve cover gaskets, had to buy tires, brakes, and spark plugs, but these are REGULAR maintenance items. Most people can't do their own repairs so they should have an experienced mechanic with them when they look at a used car, not your husband or your best friend unless you trust them to spend YOUR money! You should always buy a used car knowing that some repair work will be needed within a short period of time like shocks, cooling systems, brakes, and tires. If you think a car that has been sitting on a car lot not moving will drive flawlessly just because it is extra clean, then you are not living in reality! Take your time, do research on common repair issues for the car or truck you want, and if it looks to good to be true, then maybe it is! Remember, the salesperson is there to sell you a vehicle, not promise you that you will never have a repair bill in the near future. Once you practice this process over and over, you will become a smart and savvy buyer no matter if the car is at a dealership or private sale. Good Luck!
