I came in with a nail in the sidewall of one tire. I also asked for a Brake inspection. (A previous brake place said i needed all the brakes replaced) they sold me a tire to match the others and said only the front brakes needed to be replaced. The price was good for the labor and parts and the staff was professional and knowledgeable. they were busy but took care of my needs to get be back on the road. i have returned several other times for an oil changes. read more

I went in with a 2020 F-150 with 85k miles for brakes, they told me I needed new calipers the whole job would have been 1,300.00. I left and had my brakes replaced at the dealership and paid $450.00 Calipers and rotors were fine. And that's at the DEALERSHIP! I had a friend bring his car in and they told him the same thing. He only had 65,000 mile. Ridiculous! THEY ARE RIPPING PEOPLE OFF! You don't have to change your calipers ! If you had brakes and calipers replaced there. You were ripped of. Brought car to Bob's Tire and Brake for engine noise advising thought it was the timing chain. Bob's Tire and Brake advised it was not the timing chain and it was just low on oil. When got home car wouldn't start again. Car towed back to Bob's Tire and Brake who confirmed that it was a broken tensioner on the timing chain, as suspected, but said they can't do a timing chain. When car brought in they were told it might be the timing chain so they should have said they cannot do the repair. Car was in driving condition when brought to their shop but lost the timing chain and bent the valves as a result. The car was driveable and now we have a sizeable repair bill. On top of that they charged over $1k and said it was just low on oil? I'm wondering if the tires were necessary or they just padded the bill. Requested a partial credit since the engine now requires a complete overhaul. Asked why they did not check the timing chain when it was noted when car was dropped off. Car could have been towed to another shop before damage was done. Karl the owner refused to remedy. read more

I've had some work done here over the past 7 months. Almost $3,000 worth to be exact. Mainly to fix an oil leak on my vehicle which is an older model Nissan. 1st time I brought my vehicle in they told me the leak wasn't an issue and it was my radiator that was causing the issues I was having. It ran pretty hot, so that made sense to me. 2nd time it was a tune-up and some seals. I was assured the leak was fixed. both times my vehicle was not ready when specified it would be; causing me to be late to work( I work out of town ). They did give me an estimate of about $1600 worth of stuff that I "needed" to fix. After looking over the list of things I needed to fix and looking at my receipts of things i did fix, I noticed a few of the same things. I called to ask about it and was told "just cross those off the list". That's when things started to get really sketchy. Next time I needed something fixed and have the leak they "fixed" looked at, I made an appointment and dropped my car off. Service writer I spoke to said he forgot we spoke and my car sat there for a day without being looked at. I called right before Bob's closed and was told it was first on the list for the next day. Fast forward to next day around 1pm... Still no info. I went to the shop myself and asked what's going on and was told my car wouldn't be ready by the time I specified and it basically had not been looked at yet. So, I asked to have it back. They obliged, but while talking to the service writer about all of this he was informed it has been looked it. The issue was a crankshaft seal and rack & pinion mounts were rotted out. He assured me it would be ready by 12pm the next day. Later that day he called to mention they found the issue regarding the leak. It was now the waterpump and my estimate went from 475 to almost 1300. I decided against their advice on what to fix. Although the staff is polite and mostly professional they seem to have a dishonest approach. Each time I called to make an appointment because what they originally fixed was causing an issue still I was told, " it would take some time before getting it looked at; because they were overloaded with work". Which is understandable, except when I called a few hours later to make an appointment for something else regarding the vehicle I was able to get it checked out pretty quickly. That's when I would mention the things that were "fixed". Each time I left with an estimate of what to fix next or what I missed fixing this time. Only to go back a couple weeks later and be told it was something else upon something else. Which coincidently was also more expensive. When I originally started going to Bob's tire and brake its because I was told they work was reliable and they were honest, albeit more expensive. read more

Been going here for years with great service. Up until recently I'm sad to say won't be going back. My daughter had her oil changed there several weeks ago with the normal up charges air filter and a few other minor things. Nothing but an oil change was done. Just went out today to check the oil as normal only to find out the air cleaner was wide open and the air filter was missing? We had a few other issues with them before this that they also resolved after the fact. Just can't get great service here anymore. Something as simple as an oil change now may cost even more with a missing air filter. Sad to say another lost customer that won't be returning. read more

My cousin was Down for the winter and had an electrical problem with his 2013 Ford pickup. He took it to the local Ford dealer and they couldn't figure it out. I had Been to Bobs last year for an alignment and I was very impressed with the whole operation so I sent him over. They spent a couple of days working on it and found a defective wiring harness. They repaired it and then everything was fine. He's on the road heading north pulling his camper now and all is well. They have real mechanics here that don't give up on you. Being a retired master mechanic I know. And he thought the price was very reasonable for he time they had to spend. He was ready to trade it in but I think he'll keep it now. After $2200 worth of work that I had done my front end almost fell apart. First they quoted me a price that did not have the alignment included in the price, that was an extra $80 which made it the most expensive price I would have been quoted. I followed directions and had it back in the following day to make sure all bolts and nuts were tight, they must have forgot one because my family could have been seriously injured on our family vacation. Steering became very loose on the interstate while pulling a trailer!!! I had to have work redone in GA where we were. Karl (the owner) refused to cover the $50 Uber to get my family to a safe location while having his work redone, work that I already payed for. I gave Karl a month to make it right and he refused. I'll never give them another opportunity. On a positive note I've heard from multiple mechanics that Patrick's is the place to go. (right next door) I wish I had known ahead of time. Just had the front end alignment done on my F250. They are courteous and quick. They are first come first serve so get there before the crowds. I dropped off the truck, went to lunch and by the time I was done eating, the truck was ready. Service is horrible. I went for an oil change and waited an hour and a half for them to tell me they could not change the oil in my car. I drive a Volvo it's a common car, the fact that they can't change the oil on such a common car is astounding. In addition to this the people there are very rude and don't treat the customers well. I would recommend that people choose a different place to take their car. read more
